Funny thing, in the other day I went to a shoes shop and wouldn't you know they were also playing Loving You! Not the original version thought. But still I was really suprised to hear that song too!

I heard "Slave to the Rhythm" at a commercial center, today. It was the contemporarized version from Xscape.

Songs on Dangerous was a round on BBC1s Pointless recently!

The answers were WYWTOM, SDMW, CLHGA and surprisingly WYBT.

Was playing The Last Of Us earlier and was in a record store, noticed a record on the wall that was very reminiscent of a Jackson 5 compilation!!

Bought my little sister an MJ backpack for her birthday last October, and one morning, as I was taking her to school, one of her friends came running up and noticed the bag, and they both started talking about their favourite Michael songs and videos. It was very cute :)

Recently one of my students asked if I had every heard the song 'Lost Children'. He had discovered while surfing YouTube and fell in love with the song. I told him it was a song on Invincible and he said he was going to check out the whole album.

I had an MJ overload today! But, also, I few days ago, I was watching "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air" and this exchange happened:
Will: Look, we enter here, we go past the llamas and giraffes take a look at the monkey house and then end with a ride on the Ferris wheel.
Ashley: For the last time we are not breaking into Michael Jackson's house.
It made me laugh.

Today, while out shopping, I heard a remixed version of WBSS, and while walking past another shop, I heard "Thriller," (and immediately backtracked to listen to it.)

When I got home, "Man in the Mirror" was playing on one of the music channels! :)

I was playing around with some music effects app on my phone after seeing a recommendation for it. There were equalisers you could pick from, Bass-Booster, Dubstep, Flat, '60s, etc. One of them was 'Pop Music' and the icon? A fedora and a white glove and I thought that was pretty cool :D

I work in a retail store and today some customer came with Michael Jackson shopping bag. It had pictures of MJ from every era. I was quite tempted to give her a discount but of course I couldn't do that.

I was at my moms and one of her friends on Facebook posted some MJ videos, and one of them was Smooth Criminal HIStory Tour Munich, so my mom decided to watch it, and she kept saying, ohhh those are some nice gold pants :lol:

I was at the supermarket this evening and they played Shake Your Body Down and I Just Can't Stop Loving You in a row :D I didn't want to leave :lol:

When I'm listening to the radio and I hear a song I don't like and I change the station it always seems to switch to a MJ song. I love it. :D

I don't really know where to put this, it wasn't big enough to make it's own thread about but it still was a "feel good" soooooo... I always love cool seeing stuff like this!!

'Car Share' - a HUGELY popular BBC TV comedy by Peter Kay and Sian Gibson .

Don't want to give any spoilers, but Peter Kay showing his love for MJ in Episode 4 (about 12 mins in). Both lead characters talking about MJ;

"...never mind 'one of the best'..." Peter Kay's character says, "...THE best!"

Then they go on to talk about BAD and Thriller with, for a change in comedy these days, not a single dig.

Made me smile.
 
Today I got a new mattress for my bed. The young man who delivered it to my home saw all the pictures of Michael all around in every room and he asked me "you are a ´little´ Michael-Jackson-fan?" I laughed "as you see I´m a ´big´ Michael-Jackson-fan!" And he laughed, too. And we talked about Michael maybe for half an hour... For describing himself as a ´little´ fan he knows an astonishingly lot about him and has a positive and strong opinion about the man and the artist and what had happened to him... And he told me "I grew up with MJ. I remember being in holidays with may parents, sitting in the back of our car listening to Dirty Diana again and again, it was so great:D".

Maybe 3 weeks ago I had a similar scene at a checkstand in a drugstore. The young checkout clerk saw the Michael-picture in my wallet and said "Oh! Michael Jackson! He is the undisputed King of Pop. There is and there never will be another one like him." - "Oh, yes!" And he also is someone who grew up with Michaels music and art "his dance is absolutely unique!" and he told me "until today: when I hear Beat It in the radio I have to dance, it´s still so hot:dancin:."

I love such casual meetings.

It's always the casual little things that are the best. Sometimes I'll hear MJ playing in a store and I'll overhear someone briefly hum or sing along, or maybe see someone bop their head and it's just cool, ya know? ^_^

I had a similar situation with an exterminator once, who was in my apartment to set up some traps, he saw all the MJ pictures on my walls, and we started talking about him and he really liked him too :D

I HAD ONE YESTERDAY!!! I'm on the board of directors at my condos and we were all out for the opening of the pool and trying to do crowd control. I was wearing a really old Michael Jackson shirt that has a 'Black or White' pose on it, against a big gray crown. It's old and super faded.

A guy came up to me wearing a "Thriller" t-shirt and said 'Great Minds Think Alike"-I thought that was really cool.

That NEVER happens to me.

I love this, although would have liked it more if I hadn't read the last bit as 'big, gay clown' - that confused me.

Anyway, I had a cracker the other month that I never got around to posting.

I was interviewing a few people for a job and they had to do a presentation, one part of which was to pick someone who was a role model. This guy put his slide up & there was 3 pictures of MJ on it. And they were three of my favourite pictures also (the RTT cover & the Jam silhouette of him on his toes!).

He went on to talk passionately about Michael & how he was an inspiration to him. Obviously I got over-excited & took the interview off track! Asking him his favourite album etc. It turns out he had a full sleeve of MJ tattoos.

I was impressed by his bravery,not many adults in an interview would choose a pop star & even less MJ.

By the way, yes....he got the job ;)

ha-that's a great story. And he certainly lucked out that YOU were the interviewer.

And also, I would have been disturbed if someone had written "big, gay clown"-I was reading this and thought WTH???????

This artwork of Michael Jackson hit the frontpage of Reddit today with over 34,000 upvotes at the time of posting. I spent a while reading the comments a few hours ago and it was really, really lovely to see that everyone was speaking positively about Michael, but also being understanding of the tragedies he faced in life.

Reddit threads about Michael are pretty much always great reads.
Overall, Reddit for the most part seems to be a pretty darn MJ positive place.:yes:
It's also one of my fave websites to hang out on.:D

Yep nice to see the usual bullshit gets downvoted.
One of them said MJ reminded him of Forrest Gump
and I just thought the exact same thing a few days ago, they even had the same wave!
toddlers wave like that . And Forrest and MJ.

Ironic how people like such childlike characters on the screen but
when someone is like that in real life they bully him relentlessly or simply
don't believe they can be really that naive and innocent.

Edward Scissorhands and Jeremy in Powder were two other characters who are like MJ in many way.
