I hope very much many people will donate - but as I see it - the first 2 weeks are the most important weeks. - All fans and friends who really wanted to donate did so in the first couple of weeks. Now momentum has died, Leaving Neverland is already forgotten by many. So I think it's impossible to reach the goal.

Only if The Estate or MJ's family drops some HUGE donations will it be possible.

Where do you live? Every single day Michael's name is brought up everywhere on bloggers, sites, tmz, the estate just released a letter about it" it'll be a while before the mj & r.kelly news goes away. They are milking this for all its worth!

That is why it is important that we really don't click on any negative articales and videos when we want them to stop reporting lies!!!!

How does "gofundme" work?
If the goal is not reached, does everyone automatically get their money refunded, or will Taj have access to the money that WAS collected anyway to use for the docu?

Of course there are a few tabloids in Denmark writing stuff about MJ. But not so much anymore. The storm is fading...

I really hope Taj will make a doc. - I hope The Estate will also make a doc - though a doc made by the estate will be seen as one-sided I fear.

But the more positive - factual correct docs the better.

Let's not forget about money that's being donated behind the scenes. That's just the goal for public donations
 
The GoFundMe is getting a slow rise, I've been trying to think of ways to help it spike.. Feel free to take this idea but I started posted 2 ground breaking facts proving the lies and stating that if you want more truths like these, please help the docu-series Taj Jackson...&#8230; include link.. etc! Just trying to get creative on getting peoples attention.. almost teasing with the facts and saying, if you want more.. donate! pretty much - but not in those words.

MJ kids will fund it but we have to keep in mind there's a settlement in 1993 and the kids are bound by it as was mj so this gofundme is a creative way of getting around the settlement terms similar to what Evan and Ray Chandlers did.

^ Why/how would anything Prince & Paris say or pay for have anything to do with the settlement? I mean if the settlement was between Michael, his insurence company and the Chandlers than not even the Estate would have legal backlash for helping.. (Not sure if the Estate was part of the settlement though).

I simply figured Taj does not want the Estate behind it so it does not come off as the JACKSON MACHINE (as they say) pushing this out.. I do believe his kids would provide money under the table though.. Why wouldn't they?

What is mabe also a trustful way to donate is the Livechat of the Michael Jackson Innocent Project Podcast they want continue to do every week.
They said in the last episode they will give the donations to Taj.
But it is better to ask them again duing the Next Live Podcast.

I must say I am asounished, surprised and proud how many people have donated. This is more than doublt the amount I honestly thought it would raise.

Incredible work, hope the money is spent well and the doc will convince the doubters that MJ was innocent.
 
Taj will be giving updates each week from now...its a very good idea too keep the funds coming in! Should have been updated more frequently, although I understand Taj has been very busy.

I donated $27.50 towards this cause. I really feel like we need a well produced doc to counter Leaving Neverland. Something we can send to the haters as proof, all tidied up in a nice video. It gets complicated when all our sources are spread around on multiple posters, videos, podcasts, etc. I am hoping this official documentary will combine everything into one movie.... and have people in it who support MJ and that can vouch for him.
 
May 1st Update:

First I want to thank all of you for your continued support and donations. Together we will cement my uncle Michael’s incredible legacy and the truth.
Please remember, this project is not in direct competition with any other pro Michael Jackson videos, documentaries or specials. Actually, the more the merrier.. And I welcome all of them.

From now on there will be weekly updates. This first one will obviously be much bigger than the next ones because there hasn’t been an update in awhile.

One of the most asked question is, have we started the project yet?

The short answer is Yes. However we are still in the “boring” part of production. And there is A LOT of pre-production.
Writing, Budgeting, Hiring, ROI (for possible investors), Researching. Paperwork…etc
The good news is we are almost at the end of this stage.

I didn’t want to actually start filming and then run out of money and not finish this. It’s too important. That is why we have been a little slower in the pre production phase.

More planning and smarter planning will save us lots of money and your donations will be better utilized.

Will this even be completed and will it be this year?

Definitely it will be completed, We have everything we need to shoot and edit this. (Equipment wise and personnel wise)
However licensing news clips, music, and personal/home videos will not be free or cheap.

Also we know that we can’t count on the media to promote any positive Michael stories. Thus, extra funds will go into online marketing and promotion.

So who’s involved?

I can’t share that list yet, but I can say that I am not doing this project alone. There are some really dedicated people on board. Helping me steer this ship. Also I can say that the amount of people who were very close to my uncle, who have volunteered to help and/or be interviewed is beyond even my expectations. This movie will do my uncle justice.

What is the tone? Is this a direct rebuttal to Leaving Neverland?

This is bigger than Leaving Neverland. This is about all the past lies and allegations that have unfairly plagued my uncle’s life while he was alive and infected his legacy even after his death. This movie is about answers, the facts, and the truth.


So where is the money going?

Have you heard of the saying: Fast,Good,Cheap - Pick any two

Well I am choosing Fast and Good.

I am still aiming to complete the movie this year if all goes according to plan. However I don’t want to sacrifice on the production quality and accuracy. Therefore things will cost more then if we took our time.

I want this to stand the test of time, like my uncle. I want this to be what people reference hundreds of years from now when they look up the legendary Michael Jackson.

Here&#8217;s a quick update for this past week.
It&#8217;s May 12th and I feel really good about the forward momentum and also what&#8217;s going on behind the scenes.
Each day more and more people are realizing that Leaving Neverland is one big fat lie. I am also grateful that Madonna took a pro stance defending my uncle Michael. However there is still a lot to do.
This project, as I have stated many times before, will focus on and debunk the biggest lies and rumors that the media has been carelessly recycling for decades.

Good News:
Some major allies have offered their help and support. I am constantly amazed at and reminded of the love and support for my uncle that has come from all over the world.

Phone Chats:
I have had some very interesting and important phone conversations this last week. I have a couple more in upcoming days.
The more people I talk to, the more I am sure that my approach will be the right one.

Watching:
I&#8217;ve also have been watching Documentary after Documentary on my free time. Some of them really good, some of them not.
One thing is for sure, this project has to be high quality and be at the standard my uncle would have demanded.

Tests:
Last but not least, I have done a couple of camera tests this past week and have some more next week.

I truly appreciate you guys supporting my uncle and wanting to see justice.

Update May 18th

We recently hit $150K!
I am so thankful that all of you are still fighting hard for justice when it comes to my uncle&#8217;s name. We are really changing history with the truth and we will continue to do shape it.

Busy busy busy.....
Between the meetings, the phone calls and the interviews (yes I&#8217;m still doing interviews) I&#8217;ve been really busy. But busy is good, and I am happy for the interest in the truth being shown.

Interviews....
I am still doing interviews and have a couple of important podcast interviews lined up next week.

Outside investor(s)....
Next week we also will have all we need to seriously approach some outside investors and money people that have already shown interest. This is necessary to obtain the remainder of the budget in a reasonable time.
As many people in Hollywood would tell you, it is very important to vet these people because you are tied and linked to them for the rest of the project&#8217;s life.
My main 2 criteria for outside investors are that
1. They believe 100 percent in my uncle&#8217;s innocence. No wavering here. I demand this from everyone working on this project with me.
2. They let this story be told the way it needs to be. No outside agendas, period. This is for the preservation of my uncle&#8217;s legacy.

Distractions?...
As you might know...Prince, Bigi and I launched a film review show and channel on YouTube recently.
But don&#8217;t worry, our YouTube show is only two hours out of the week and it is a great way for me to collaborate and spend time with my cousins. Plus we get to talk movies, like I use to do with my uncle.
In no way will this show ever slow down this MJ project. This project is priority.


Last but not least....
I truly feel like my uncle Michael is guiding this project and I want to thank you guys for your continued belief in it and me.

This is beyond HIStory. This is His Legacy.

After a recommendation from someone on twitter, we now have set up a contact email. This email should be used to send us important information/suggestions for the project. I, along with two others (who are working on the project), will be reading and responding back to your emails. Most of you have already emailed me in the past through gofundme or my professional email. Although I have read the majority of your emails and comments, responding back to nearly 300 messages is unfortunately impossible given my time. I do thank all of you for the words of encouragement I have received. My uncle was everything to me and I want to be as meticulous as he was in order to get the final truth out there.

I have one question. Who else is trying anything major to combat these allegations other than Taj? In my opinion every fan should donate whatever they can. Even if it doesn't turn out as we would like it to due to Taj's inexperience. We need to at least try. His heart is in the right place.
