I expected a greatest hits cd with the biopic but I really hope these songs are at least special versions..? Live renditions, demo versions, skits or something

So 'Sunset Driver' and 'Hot Street'are both about prostitution..

A lot of songs mention involve prostitution I guess: 'Hollywood Tonight', 'DYKWYCA', 'Slave To The Rhythm', 'Dirty Diana' somewhat, any more..?

Is 'Streetwalker' about prostitution too?
And so.. could 'The Way You Make Me Feel' secretly be about prostitution too..? I would like to hear how that song started now.

I believe so, given how Kirk Franklin teased a remix he did of "Man In The Mirror" and there'd be no reason for him to do that unless the Estate's planning to release it around the biopic.

There's also that (now-deleted) news story from 2024 that revealed the Estate sent people to examine the tapes in both their and Sony's possession. Again, there'd be no reason for them to do that (and for "Hot Street"'s title to be shown in the trailer) if they weren't planning a 2-disc release.

My assumption about the possible second disc is this:

Hot Street
Man In The Mirror (Kirk Franklin Remix)
maybe Nite Line?
perhaps Why Can't I Be?
maybe unheard demos for Beat It, Sunset Driver, and one of the OTW songs?
reimagined versions of Billie Jean, Human Nature, Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough, and Thriller in the same vein as Kirk's MITM?
and I guess one more unreleased song to round things out (either a Bad-era outtake like Tomboy or a Thriller-era outtake like the long-rumored Attitude)
maybe one of the uncopyrighted songs mentioned in the 1993 deposition?

This is pure copium I’m afraid. Psychology 101 is denial as a form of grieving.
 
It's hilarious how they are bothering making this a soundtrack CD for sale. Each and everyone of these songs have been re-released minimum 15 times. Could've at least slapped on a couple of demos or something for the real fans

It's just an accompanying album to the biopic. Just like it was the case with This Is It.(which had at least an unreleased song as well as few demos on a second disc)

I'm still not ruling out there'll be another release surrounding the biopic.

The word Streetwalker literally means Prostitute

I have no idea who Tygger is, and they didnt even provide a source? A post on MJJC is hardly a source, like?
 
the biopic soundtrack kinda makes sense when you realize its just the songs in the order theyre played in the movie. itd be weird to shove in songs that arent mention or played at all in the film in full like RWY or MITM. starting with ill be there is a weird choice still imo but if its the first full song played in the film then ig it is what it is

With some reflection, I do think it’s a bit silly to expect unreleased music on a biopic soundtrack (and yes, I say this as someone who was insisting there would be lmao). This is clearly aimed at the general audience and/or newcomers, so I absolutely don’t think it’s unusual that it’s essentially a greatest hits album that isn’t geared at the hardcore fans. That said, I do hope these songs are given exciting new mixes à la Bohemian Rhapsody.

Regardless, there’s definitely more coming. The Kirk Franklin snippet; the comments from Humberto Gatica, Brody Brown, and Teddy Riley; Prince’s past comments about combing through the vault, if not the soundtrack, there’s 100% another project in the pipeline.

There’s stuff in the vault that is so unfinished that I don’t think even hardcore fans would be interested in hearing (wasn’t Revenge literally just a click track lmao?).

I guarantee you the MJ songs will use the same recent masters from the anniversary releases, but I wonder about the Jacksons Live songs. There's a really good Japanese remaster from 2010 (I think) but the only drawback is that it REALLY highlights that MJ's vocals were done in the studio as the bleed from the original live vocals is so apparent.

Yes that's what I wanted to verify (I'm not a native English speaker), but so he sings about being in love with a prostitute right? So, since 'Streetwalker' and 'TWYMMF' share a lot of similarities that last one might also be low key about chasing a prostitute..?
