Question

You know the Special Editions of Bad/Thriller/Off The Wall/Dangerous?

Have Sony stopped shipping them with the cardboard sleeves around the casing? because I ordered a brand new copy (despite already owning a perfect copy of the exact same album WITH the sleeve) and it didn't have it! just the CD with the regular artwork on the front and "Special Edition" written down the spine.

How VERY annoying.

PS : I have good reasons for having ANOTHER copy of the Bad Album (I already own it 3 times over) :p[/b]

i know that here from JB Hi-Fi which is where i go to get all my stuff, they have the slip cover on them still. BUT also with the "Vinyl Classics" albums its just a different slip cover on it. it should have come with one though. be like me when i got all the cd's with different covers of Number Ones. none of them were right and didnt match up front and back. so i wrote to Sony and complained :lol: they sent me an extra copy of all the cd's with the correct artwork, front and back ;) and all free of charge. i was like ooooo how cool. lol

Yeah but those store copies could be old stock, the ones in town also had the slip cover but this was ordered online last Friday and I'm wondering why the slip cover is missing :huh:

I thought of that, but the thing is....the sleeve is about 2mm thick and barely adds anything to the size.

sorry I was gabbling at you smelly whilst you were trying to mod... that guy was an knob to be starting crap in your thread Malc .. he's been pushing trouble with Snr Staff for a while all because they wont let him put his advertisement in GD for his board :rolleyes:

ugh just frustrating. i mean everything and i mean everything that Em-Jay posts in GD1 he ALWAYS regardless of being a staff member or not he ALWAYS gets permission. perhaps some people should take a note out of his book and start doing the same, and stop getting all huffy puffy because their threads aren't approved.

Looks like Sony HAVE stopped doing the sleeves on new issues!! :(

In Woolworths two weeks ago I saw a copy of Thriller Special Edition that didn't have the sleeve and thought nothing of it. Now that I have this brand new shrink wrapped (by Sony) copy of Bad, I guess thats proof enough.
