Latest on MJJC

The NEW image/look...mwa ha ha ha ha...

Looks like theres a few things many agree on.
1. Fedora
2. Curls
3. We wanna see sideburns, lol.

For me, everything about the Dangerous era was perfect for me. His style was very sleek, urban and original. The single arm brace, white unbuttoned shirt and curls spoke volumes over military jackets or futuristic designs. It also looked great when he danced (think Black or White).

I love when Michael has his hair tied back in a little bun at the back, it makes his hair neat and masculine whilst having a long look. Seeing Mike in a suit during Who Is It was a pleasant change, he actually looked terrific with his hair and plain suit and tie...
 
yummy mj in a suit. I don't think he will change much

there was a rumour the roberto cavalli was going to do some designs for him
 
^ Well he did design some outfits he has all ready wore.. And Cavalli is the one that said he was asked to design something for a tour..
 
For some reason, I was imagining Mike in long dreds! I think that would be so sexy-cool on him. As far as him going back to the curls, although I wouldn't mind it, I think he wants to come up with something new and not redo what he has already done. I think the clothes will be something we haven't seen him in before because he wants to get that :wild: reaction from everybody. The high-water pants are now a thing of the past but maybe he will do something like go with knee pants or shorts or something. Hey, we are all just speculating here and I'm just throwing out some ideas of things he hasn't done yet. :cheeky: I think that if we stay on a positive note and look more to the possibilities rather than rehashing the things of the past, this would be a better thread. :yes: I rather like the long coat idea and I agree with the vampire-Batman comparisons but I think if it is done tastefully, he could pull it off. Mike is supposed to have a more buff physique now so perhaps some open-chest, sleeveless shirts to show it off? Man, I can't help but to think about them gold pants and how well Mike filled them out . . . :wub:

Indeed!!! tight fitted, short sleeve shirts showing off his arms...mmm:wub: and yes the highwater pants are a thing of the past as well as the curls (yes, they ain't comming back)
 
I dunno, i thought even reflecting on past memories of how he's done his thang before is positive...how is that not positive :huh:
 
you know i agree. i don't really WANT michael to go back to anything he used to do..though i do LOVE the fadora...but i like this new look he's got going on...and if michael decided during the dangerous era to go back to thriller style..michael would have faded out like non-other and we wouldn't have black or white style curls or anything...so i trust him to come up with the flat out new stuff and boy am i excited to see it :D hehe. i'd love to see michael as a modern gangsta though..but of course...done in his own eccentric MICHAEL way..hehe (and i mean eccentric in such a possitive way :D hehe)
 
A New Age type look. A slicker, more vibrant, and edgier look. A look that screams "The King of Pop is back!", with a mix between usual Mike and new Mike.
Possible fashions:

1. Hair
-Long Flourishing Curls
(similar to the Dangerous era, maybe with a new edgier spin to it. A look that can scream Badass, or Tough Pretty boy. An edgy look, would do wonders for MJ)
-Sheen Smoothly Styled Long Hair
(Similar to the Ebony magazine look. But has to be properly styled. Maybe a little shorter, with edgy bangs. NO WIGS.)
-Glossy Curls pulled back into a ponytail or Smooth Straight Hair pulled into a ponytail.
(Similar to his look in the HIStory trailer or the Who Is It video. Or even casual laid back hair, pulled into a ponytail, like the In the Closet video.)
-Medium length, Curls with edged bangs
(A punk chic, type look. Keeping the "oh so adored!" curls intact, with a shoulder length hang, with split rugged bangs)

2. Clothing

-New Age Soldier
(Can be a HIStory trailer type look. Something that screams futuristic badass. Could be a cross between a new age Soldier and a spacious biker.)

-Slick Suits
(Smooth suits, preferably Black and White in color. Good fitting, and definitive. A fusion of the looks of: A Mafioso (Criminal Mafia member), Wealthy Business Man, and edgy Male model.)

-Say Hello to the Bad guy
(Designer style, badass look. Maybe using straps and various jewelery such as Platnium chains. The attire would probably be a sly leather.)

3. Other Attributes

-Sunglasses
(New, modern style shades. Maybe personally designed for Mike. New Shades, for the new Age! (LOL!).)

-Shoes
(Most likely new designer loafers. A fusion of classic MJ and a modern MJ. Maybe even leather boots. That'd be a first. Maybe with rhinestone engraved in them)

-Makeup
(Not to much, but not to little. Maybe use of a light tannish, bronzecolor fusion similar to Dangerous. The makeup shouldnt be too light but not too dark.)

-Weight
(Michael's been madz skinny lately. I think when he comes back he may gain some valuable weight. His weight during the HIStory era was great. His face wasnt as skinny, and his body mass was completely healthy. He should have the same weight range, as in HIStory.)

-Rhinestone
(I would keep the rhinestone socks or even white socks. I think he would look perfect wearing accessories with Black Rhinestone. Maybe a rhinestone glove again. Maybe a BLACK rhinestone glove!)

-Headgear
(I would keep the fedora if needed. Maybe upgrading it a bit, to make it look restored. Maybe in some appearances, while looking casual, he can wear a black skully! The NEW Casual Mike.....)

I think michael looked best in his bad stage, i really think he should go back to that stage, with the cury hair and such :p
 
I love this thread! personally, I don't really care anymore what his new look is.....he could decide to wear a trash bag for all I care, as long as he is out there performing and stuff! lol. I would die to see him in curls again, though. Dancin Machine, I really like a lot of your ideas.
 
I think his current look is grwat but if i had to choose i'd prever his hair curly...
 
If you ask me, his hair should be short, not long and curly.
 
noooo I don't really like it when it's short. I think long hair, if done right, frames his face well. Like 99 tv guide-ish. Or Ebony shoot-ish

Well I think the short look is more mature, for his age...instead of like a crazy long wavy-haired boy like he was when he was 30 lol.

Don't get me wrong, I've ALWAYS loved his hair...from the afro to the curl, to the wave, but I think that with different ages, different styles suit you better. And plus he looks friggin HOT with short hair and I can see his beautiful face and eyes and smile better hehehe. :D

Well long hair can still fit with his age. Actually I think it'll be even more suitable now that he's older. The trick is that he needs to have the right CUT. I think what he has is fine.

And besides, I don't think he looks his age anyways lol Besides, acting/looking ur age (especially when ur older) is soooo overrated (j/k lol) so if he goes back to waves, then it's all good to me. But personally it think the straight look he's got now is good and it 'fits' his age...(however, i didn't know there was a certain age where one should have short hair or long hair lol. )

Yeah, it's true!

Think about it---it's been the trend now for a long time--for younger WOMEN to have shorter hair...not TOO short, but not TOO long, because it's considered as looking matronly/old-lady-like, or just too much.

For older women, it's the same...having their hair cut (about to shoulder length, usually not too short) makes them look younger. You know, every time you see a makeover show, what do they do? Chop their hair off (and style it)! Because it's "cool" and fresh and young looking.

For young MEN, VERY short hair (above the ears) is the thing. Young men having long hair hasn't been "in" for a loooooong time now...in SOO many cultures. For the men--all of that hair just makes them look older. That's why when a guy shaves his beard and gets his hair cut he looks about ten years younger :p

I just think he looks even younger with shorter hair...not saying he should try to look like the young boys, all hairless and smooth skinned (lol), but I'm just saying...this whole entertainment thing is 90 % image, 10 % talent.

I like the way he looks right now, but I think a haircut would kind of be fresh and new for him. That's just me though. :D
 
Okay how about we settle for the 99 TV guide cut then? :lol: It's not extra long, but it not extra short. Looking at celebrities tho, i tend to disagree. If u look at the 'hot' list a lot of people go against those 'rules' u just listed lol

for guys...

Orlando Bloom--long hair
Johnny Depp-- long hair
Ashton Kutcher-- who is often scruffy lol
Adrian Grenier from Entourage--long cuurly hair
Heath Ledger--who sported the long do for a while
Hugh Jackman- who also sported the long do for a while


and for girls MOST of them on the 'hottest' or 'sexiest' or 'stylish' lists sport long hair, and rock extensions and weave lol


But in any cae think MJ is an exception to a lot of 'rules'. LOL And i think long hair is soooo HIM. And MJ often goes against the grain of 'style' anyway cuz he has his own style :p

The media would have a field day with that sh!t. I agree with LovelyOne, MJ needs a haircut....now.

I think ya'll are fooling yourselves if you think in ANYWAY mj is gonna come out looking like any old regular star thats trying to be fashionable LOL!. MJ has his OWN fashion. MJ dresses in a way that only HE can. So Mj incorporating some gothic "dracula" looks into his wardrobe has already been done, and it works for him lol. MJ is never gonna go with what everyone else is doing...even in the ebony shoots MJ had his own thing going, and it looked good on him...(since i don't know how 'fashionable' it is for someone to go around looking like Willy Wonka lol)...MJ always makes the unfashionable work for HIM.

Oh btw, as far as the 'Dracula' look...the Bambi Awards comes to mind. lol
With that in mind i think Cavalli's designs with the vampire-esque style would be good for MJ. Seeing an outfit on MJ is one thing...and often times it works cuz he' Michael Jackson lol...but seeing it on someone else is another story. Thats what makes the man so unique!
