Okay but it's not about Black media or not, but about the reaction of Black peoples, that change nothing if the info is from the mainstream media.

That's actually a rather sad story considering that the reason it was such an important memory for Michael is because he said it was the only memory he had of Joseph showing him love, so he hung onto it and kept reliving it to cope with all the unloving things his father did. Only one memory during his whole childhood, that's pretty bad...

On Facebook and other social media platforms I’m noticing a number of Elvis fans creeping out the woodwork after the latest poster releases and saying Michael was never king and Elvis was bigger etc.

Sit the fck down!!!

You could say that the Michael he is portraying on film is very different to the one he knew - Jaafar was born in '96 so most of his childhood memories of his Uncle will be from the period surrounding the arrest in '03 and the trial in '05.

Not to say that he won't be pulling from his own experiences of Michael, but as we all know a lot changed between the '80s and 2000s
 
I guess Jaafar is going to be the 1st second generation Jackson to really make the big time unlike the others:

I heard that 3T was popular in the UK. But they weren't that successful in the USA. Jermaine Jr. was in The Jacksons: An American Dream, but I don't think he did anything in show business after that.

100% agree with this, Hot Street is already finished and produced, we didn't need modern artist to remix or modernize this song, they have already done that and each times it was catastrophic.

That also the best way to not have the original song officially realized, see how many years that have taken to have the demo of Behind the Mask.

Bad Era Michael didnt look much different than thriller MJ. He just had longer hair. People really were fixated on skin color.

And to the people who say Michael should have revealed the vitiligo. I have no doubt that had he done done he would have been attacked and demonized like a leper. And they probably would have still accused him of bleaching anyway.

Of course Nelson george makes an appearance in the first video and leads the charge attacking michael

I honestly think Michael (and part 2) could be Jaafar’s only films he ever does.

I think it will be hard to shake off the Michael Jackson tag unless he gets a lot of job offers on the back of these films and he continues to be a serious actor.

I hope he becomes a big star and can carry on the Jackson legacy in a big way.

I’ll be rooting for him!

I am sure a PR team briefed the hell out of the cast members, especially Jaafar and Juliano since they are new to the business 😅
Not saying it was a good decision, though. The whole interview was not very "deep" or even personal to me. A promo thing.
The setup aka the seating was very odd to me.
