The demo w/ Freddy?More importantly... would the "State of Shock" snippet make it into the film if so?

Actually - nevermind, I'm getting my dates mixed up. MJ sings a short "State of Shock" snippet during SYB in Toronto, not LA. I was incorrectly referring to the performance SmoothCriminal mentioned! The demo w/ Freddy?
After the latest comments pretty much confirming part 2 and the mention that this part 1 will leave you wanting more….It's normal for the press to attend a screening where they're shown a collection of clips from a movie. The Victory Tour scene was probably the final scene of the bunch shown during that screening and that's why she was referring to it as "the final scene".
They were always planning it. And all the mainstream sources you all trusted and believed 100% when it came to the chandler claim have been saying there will be a part 2 for months, but you don't believe that, but you blindly believe the ridiculous claim about the chandlersPretty awesome that they are still planning a second film. Seems it has been getting positive responses so hopefully it does well and they can start work.
i just hope it's not a Bohemian Rhapsody repeat, with Bad concert opening and ending the movie. what concerned me watching the trailers was how much the plotline seemed a copy + paste of Freddy quest for independence in that movieThis should not be a spoiler so let's just get this out there.. The movie goes beyond the Victory tour, it ends in the timeframe where most are expecting.
Now, how it ends is where would throw people off. Not storyline wise, but the teaser and trailer gives an impression of something that makes people expect something that they'll actually have to wait for. Vague I know - but I must.
If that was the only similarity with Bohemian Rhapsody I'd be delighted tbh....i just hope it's not a Bohemian Rhapsody repeat, with Bad concert opening and ending the movie. what concerned me watching the trailers was how much the plotline seemed a copy + paste of Freddy quest for independence in that movie
Muahahaha, that was a good oneI could upload a video saying that the film ends with him dancing upside down naked in an elevator screaming "Purple Rain" over and over.
Would you believe that if it was in video form?
"It was a LOOONG 20 years" lolI think they might recreate the moment that Mike announced he was leaving The Jacksons on the Victory Tour.
The happy dance Mike did after he quit still makes me laugh
I think it'll be more dramatic in the film
re-reading this, i feel like you are hinting a cliffhanger. like we possibly see Michael entering the stage of '88 concert and that's where the movie ends? all those bad performances are actually postponed to a second movie. It would explain why the marketing so far has delberately kept musics and posters pretty much Thriller era. This should not be a spoiler so let's just get this out there.. The movie goes beyond the Victory tour, it ends in the timeframe where most are expecting.

I’ll have a fedora shaped popcorn bucket please!I wonder if we will get any merch or anything. Seems like themed popcorn buckets are the 'thing' to do at the moment
Eh? Are you against a new MJ album with 10+ new tracks?! Because you think they will be fake?Nobody needs such an abormination again.
Honestly, it would be like an OJ Simpson movie that ignored his trial, or a Matthew Kelly or William Roache movie that did the same. There would be something amiss. Not sure about that...I think nowadays, especially younger people do ask more questions and don't just believe what the media or other people say.
Seems like some people think everything MJ-related has a god-given right to win awards and break all known records, and if it doesn't, the only possibility reason is "the company didn't promote it enough".Some are expecting way too much in terms of promo.
I just don't understand why people are obsessing over trailers. Why does it need another one? There have been loads already, isn't that enough, lol. You realise after release, nobody will remember or care about how many trailers there were, right? When they release the final trailer
You being so passive-aggressive all the time is funny as ****.im convinced some of the "fans" on this forum want the biopic to fail and they are in fact giddy and gleeful at the thought of it.
Until Lionsgate confirm part 2, then part 2 is not confirmed. That's literally the default position that all sensible people have to adopt. Why does that make them "insufferable"?lions gate confirmed part 2. So you insufferable people can stop saying there wont be a part 2
Yeah, that is what makes modern movies so shit.I wonder if the movie will be 'woke'..?
With todays identity politics there is also a danger for the truthfully aspect of MJ's story: that MJ, Joe and The Jacksons will be merely portrayed as a victims of racism and capitalism.
Just that it's redundant, I guess. But maybe it is important to show the origin and the transition from child to adulthood. What would be the problem if the early days would be a upgraded rehash of 'The Jacksons: An American Dream'? That was a good show
Good point.I mean it’s one thing to have a second part, when the first movie is somewhat self contained, meaning it has somewhat of an ending (chapter closed).
But not telling the audience there will be a second part going in & then having an open end is ass.
Using promo material that isn’t in the movie would be bordering fraud.
None of the 15 tracks (that have authentic MJ vocals on both posthumous released albums) do represent the artistic vision Michael had for those songs.Eh? Are you against a new MJ album with 10+ new tracks?! Because you think they will be fake?
Credit to Jaafar, you can see he's worked hard to portray his uncle and I don't think his performance will come into question at a.
This wasn't in Infinity War, but was in the trailer. Other than at the beginning with Thanos, Hulk doesn't appear in the movie at all. Banner later could not change into Hulk, he was in a Hulkbuster armor.Using promo material that isn’t in the movie would be bordering fraud.
