Im sorry, but i agree with him. You have to listen more carefully. He's not attacking Michael at all. Hes attacking the media and our TV channels for giving michaels death more coverage than the death of hundreds of thousands. Hes also trying to wake people up to how unfortunatly, in 2010 charity is nothing more than a business venture.

admittedly, hes not doing it in a very intelligent or professional way... but hes certainly not attacking micheal... just using the colossal media coverage surrounding his death as an example of our society's lack of care for those less fortunate than ourselves.

"Michael Jackson documentary about all the kids he banged."

That seems pretty offensive to me... :mello:

The way I understand it... hes not accusing michael of 'banging kids' ... there WAS documentaries aired about that and thats what hes complaining about... he was just listing all multiple shows and documentaries in comparison to the minimal coverage regarding Haiti.

Thats what Im getting from listening to the context of what hes saying rather than the content...

This guy is ignorant...I DO take what he said about Michael offensively....and whether or not he is attacking the media...he still spoke disgustingly about Michael.....that doesnt make him any better than them IMHO

Ok, you have a right to your opinion, but hes wasnt saying michael was doing those things, just talking about a documentary *shrug*

I agree, but the "bang" reference was offensive even though he was citing it as an example of how extensive the coversage was on every single aspect of Michael.

He made valid points, but the reality is media is first and foremost motivated by profit and the reason MJ received 24/7 coverage was because it generated 24/7 ratings.

Exactly.

I can't believe everyone was so surprised that he got so much coverage, he's Michael bloody Jackson. They put him through so much shit when he was alive and I'm sure nobody complained about the coverage then, but now the coverage is more positive towards MJ and people are complaining.

This guy is so dumb. I guess he didn't see the huge telethon last night ehh? Wtf is he talkin' about CNN doesn't have as much coverage? 0.o He crazy Bish. There is coverage of Haiti on there all the time, I know because I watch it. Also on a lot of channels that don't even cover that kind of news stuff have something about Haiti on them. Whether it's a way we can help/donate money or just talking about the devistation there in general. So once again he gets his facts wrong.

He needs to get his facts straight before he runs his mouth. He best not even be talkin' about Michael... fjhsdfklshdfsklhdf the use of the word "banging" wow is all I'm gonna say to this guy. Maybe he should stop making ridiculous youtube videos and get people involved in helping Haiti? Maybe he should go volunteer somewhere? Ahh that's right he's too dumb to do that. My bad, I was expecting too much from this guy. He instead likes to be rude to the deceased. I get it, that's how our world is now, it's okay for everyone to be rude to Michael and to others who have lost their lives, just to get "our" point across. (sarcasm)

I don't get where he is going here. Michael's napping happened way before this earthquake in Haiti. I haven't really heard anything about Michael or the investigation for quite some time now, unless you count the internet. Instead of making a dumb video like this he could have made an encouraging video, encourage people to help out. Instead of saying rude things about Michael he could have talked about Michael's charity works and how we should continue Michael's message and help the people of Haiti. But yet again, I'm expecting too much from this guy.

I just wish that guy would have proven his point without insulting Michael. That took his serious points down imho.

I can respect people who don't like the media coverage. (I actually didn't because they where just rehashing speculative, grasping for a headline things doing the weeks of non-stop MJ coverage) I wish that this guy wouldn't put down Mike though.

Is he bloody stupid?

The Haiti coverage is EVERYWHERE!

I dont know where he lives but where I am from, you can't escape it.

I completely agree. I think that this man made very valid points that are true. If people open up their ears and actually listen to what he is saying they wouldn't jump to so many conclusions. He was in no way demeaning or insulting Michael. He was using the massive media covergae(which I even got sick of) to make a point about the lack of coverage on over 100,000 people dead, several thousands left homeless, and injured from the earthquake. Truth is that this does need more coverage and people need to learn how to genuinely care. however he did speak ignorantly when using the phrase "banging kids." He probably was so anxious to get this message out on the web that he didn't think twice.

Where on earth do you guys live?

The Haiti relief coverage is everywhere- from the TVs to the radio, the streets, the malls!!!
There is no lack of coverage. As a matter of fact, there is so much publicity and donations made already!

It puzzles me how people are still not getting the required help with all the donations until my Dad told me people from other parts of Haiti descended to the disaster-ridden parts of the country and are now claiming that they were victims to get free goods and that some charity organizations are messing up with financial stuff. (facepalm)

well that is just ridiculous.....don't they know that they are just taking away from the people who REALLY need the aid...things like that make it harder are all the people in need and the people trying to help them.

I know. :(

Apparently, that's why Haiti is in so much chaos right now.

People who were not affected all descended towards the affected parts of the country and have been looting goods and stuff from the real victims. It's so sad.

This reminds me of this thread...

We just don't know whether he intended to be disrespectful towards Michael or not.

Having said that, it was only one little thing and it didn't really warrant making a thread about it.

Well, I didn't watch the clip, but I can definately say three things -

1. Michael's death deserved ALL of the attention that it got. We will never see someone this amazing in our lifetime again.

2. Like others have said, there's definately NOT a lack of Haiti coverage here in the U.S. Just last night, there was a benefit concert that aired on virtually every station on TV.

3. About being motivated to do more, there are so many in this country right now that are jobless (like myself) and in such bad shape that even if they wanted to donate money or goods, it's hard for them to do.

What an idiot. The Haiti coverage is EVERYWHERE and the charity telethon was on almost every freaking channel. And I take what he said about Michael offensive. You can tell the kind of impression he has on Michael just by that mere comment.
""Michael Jackson documentary about all the kids he banged."

Think of it this way...if Michael was here and had heard that, would he be offended or hurt by it? If your answer is yes, then it was totally unnecessary for that man to make that comment in the way he did. I understand he was trying to prove a point but just saying, "That Michael Jackson documentary" would have gotten his point across well enough.

My answer is yes.

That was beyond offensive. When Michael Jackson died, there wasn't much else going on that deserved our attention so of course the networks are going to cover his death--he was a legend! Additionally, he didn't bang any damn kids. CNN has been talking about Haiti non-stop. I don't know what else he wants. They just had a concert about helping Haiti that was on all the networks!! I daresay this fool is among those who don't give a rat's ass about Haiti! He's just using the situation in order to promote himself like the opportunistic rag he appears to be. He spends half the bloody video talking about Michael Jackson, as if insulting him is gonna somehow bring relief to Haiti. If he really cared about Haiti he'd be talking about it exclusively and providing us with inspiring words so that we may unite for a common goal. Instead, he's doing exactly what he blames CNN of doing. Michael Jackson would have done something productive to bring real help to Haitians. This idiot is just sitting on his fat ass consuming our oxygen and doing nothing to help Haiti. T___T

^^ The guy is a youtube partner, maybe he did this for money.

I daresay this fool is among those who don't give a rat's ass about Haiti! He's just using the situation in order to promote himself like the opportunistic rag he appears to be.

That is my pet peeve, when people go on about starving children and using it for their agenda to bash things. But will never help anybody if the situation. And since youtube partners get paid, he may have done this. I do think he is slightly jealous of Michael.

Exactly.

Does anyone know if this guy is affiliated with a news agency and as such, speaking as an extension of such news agency ( I can hardly imagine the way he rattles on and insults MJ on the way). If he is affiliated the Legacy e-mail alerting team is dtermining whether or not to write a letter. If he is just a single person speaking his mind I still don't think that comment on 'banging kids documentary' was necessary or in any way, shape or form relevant to the disaster in Haiti and the horrible suffering of people there.

Thanks for letting me know. If you can, please PM me, thanks!
