Weekend News for May 9th - 11th Breaking News: New Michael Jackson Statement

Thanks for the news.

Things are looking great for Mike. Good for him.

When they are reporting about these men, you can see the outrage in the reporters' faces, body language and voice tone. You get the sense from their reporting that their ultimate goal is mind control; they want you to see news only as they report it.

On point. This is the truth.

Mr. Jackson said, “I am pleased with recent developments
involving Neverland Ranch and I am in discussions with Colony and Tom Barrack with regard to the Ranch and other matters
that would allow me to focus on the future.”
I just have to post it again _ This is like beautiful Music to my ears

Moderators, there are two different threads discussing the refinancing of Neverland. Could the discussion be combined into one thread?:cheeky:

Michael Jackson's Neverland Loan Sold to Colony, Person Says

By Jonathan Keehner and Zachary R. Mider
May 11 (Bloomberg) -- Pop star Michael Jackson averted foreclosure of his Neverland Ranch because Colony Capital LLC bought the loan on the property, said a person familiar with the matter.
Colony, the Los Angeles-based private equity firm headed by Thomas Barrack, purchased the loan from Fortress Investment Group LLC and is in discussions with Jackson, said the person, who declined to be identified because the transaction hasn't been disclosed. An announcement of the deal may come as soon as today, the person said.
Jackson, 49, has been struggling with debts that mounted as he fought charges that he molested a 13-year-old boy in 2003 and held him captive at the ranch, which is northwest of Santa Barbara, California. Jackson was cleared of all the charges by a jury in 2005.
The loan on the 2,900-acre ranch is about $23.5 million and the property was scheduled to be auctioned off on May 14. The auction was canceled on May 9, Fox News reported that day.
Colony spokeswoman Caroline Luz declined to comment. Lilly Donohue, a spokeswoman for New York-based Fortress, did not immediately return a message left at her office today. A spokesperson for Jackson couldn't immediately be reached for comment.

FOR GOD'S SAKE will they keep mentioning this when he dies as well?! ARGH!

I don't think it is bad that it is being mentioned in conjunction with the refinance and saving from foreclosure. The way it is worded lets people relate the problems he has now to charges he was found innocent of instead of people just saying, "Oh there he goes being irresponsible again." I think it is a sign of the world coming more to his side.

As far as MJ's announcement goes, in business you alway say you are happy with the result. lol

I think it is preferable to a foreclosure sale but we don't really know the details. Michael probably wouldn't like this analogy (the idea of eating an elephant) but as I see Michael work his way out of this I keep thinking of the question/answer "How do you eat an elephant? ....One bite at a time."

Piece by piece he is finishing off his elephant rather than being daunted by the task.

Re: Weekend News for May 9th - 11th Breaking News: Michael Jackson's Neverland Loan Sold to Colony

means the intial press release that Michael's lawyer did for the media back in Mar.. was legit.. but one particular idiot at at Fox.. pretty much called Michael's lawyer a liar...and now what the lawyer has said.. was always true..

so we, fans, waisted many post and threads..debating.. over something we were intially advised of in the first place.

what a waste....

let Michael handle his affairs.. tired of having the media push our buttons over the same :bs time after time..... Michael is still owns Neverland..has said he was re-negotiating his loan..and this is just what has happened.. and Ms Bains did a press release on thats months ago..

MICHAEL HAS SAID HE WAS RENGOTIATING HIS LOAN WITH FORTRESS..
AND IT LOOKS LIKE THIS IS EXACTLY WANT HE DID..

Michael's people do let us know what is happening.. but sometimes..we (posters) seem to ignore it...and get real selective >>>>>>>>>>>..time to move on...

 MJ gotta pay the bills so of course he gotta do what he gotta do to keep Neverland but on the real, Mike, either lend us your ferris wheel or we'll take it.

Just kidding or am I? :shifty:
May I remind you that MJ is a titular head of a major business empire which earns him more money than any new album will ever do.
