Why MJ is not touring the US?

This question is always on my mind, I checked MJ’s tour profiles for Dangerous and HIStory tours and he never performed on the US since the Bad tour (AFAIK). I heard many rumors from the press but I tend not to relay on them so I would like to know why he doesn’t tour the USA?
 
He was going to tour in the US for the Dangerous tour but his plans were changed when the 1993 allegations came out. I don't know why he didn't tour in the US for the HIStory tour, but it probably had something to do with the poor sales of HIStory in the US compared to the pretty good sales of HIStory in Europe.
 
In case of HIStoury tour, shouldn’t be that if he toured the US his regional album sales will improve?
 
Most Top names do not tour much in the US
Will I. Am stated the money is in Europe and over seas.
They will do a few Us gigs but the majority is out of the country.
That is NOT just Michael - Check out the Venue of the top icons
and singers and where they do their concerts and tours

Yes, but that probably only applies to now, with the weak Dollar course and all! I'm not sure that applies to 10 and 15 years ago! Usually I hear, that it's much different to tour in Europe and abroad, due to having to deal with different countrys, authorities, agencies, regulations and so on...

Usually all the major icons extensively tour the US as well.... Rolling Stones, Metallica, AC/DC, Madonna, Aerosmith, U2, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears and so on.... you seldomly find US artists or international artists (who are also known in the US), who leave out the states for so long!

I honestly think Michael is scared to tour the US. I think he believes he won't have good sales here. Not to say that's true, but I believe that's how he feels. He hasn't toured the US since the Bad Tour 20 years ago.
 
Hawai is not realy the USA , i have always wondered myself why he doesn't perform in the US any more , what is the rpoblem with the US ? when Dangerous was realeased the sales were not good , but after he performed at the MTV 93 (Dangerous ) , the sales tremendeously rose to reach 7 million copies just 1 less than Bad , so that's just misunderstable , but some fans say that he doesn't perform in THE US any more because Artists have to say if the concert is " lip synched " or "live" there, maybe a sort of embarrasement regarding this .

hahahahahaah yeah new zealanders are like people who had a learning disabilty and messed up the aussie accent! haha.

On tours like that, artists are always adding dates, extra shows, and maybe he had already added in so many of them through out the tour, he couldnt cope with any more dates and USA missed out. Mike ended the Bad Tour in the USA, and Dangerous Tour was set to end there too, maybe he just had no energy left? Who knows. But yeah he did go to Hawaii which technically IS the USA. He has said in the past conquereing Northern USA on tour is the only thing he hasnt done yet performance wise that he wants to do. And on simulchat or whatever its called from 1995 he said he would love to tour USA. Its just whether or not it would work out or not.

Far before the History tour starts , he was asked if he would tour in the US , his answer : "hum...not sure " .

That is a proof that he didn't plan to tour there at all , but why ? nobody knows realy , just suppositions .

And how do you know he planned to tour in the US for the Dangerous , there is no mention of the country on the planning ?
 
Nobody really knows, but the timing for the HIStory tour might be our best indication. HIStory came after the allegations and scandal, after the infamous Diane Sawyer interview in which he said HE DID NOT CARE to stay in the US, that might shed some light as to why he didn't tour it for HIStory.

I don't think it was out of fear, but just not wanting to do it after the public and the media gave him such a backlash...he probably felt more safe in Europe and just didn't wanted to bother. Just my take on it.
 
He cancelled several concerts in U.S. in result of getting tired by the end of the tour and needed rest..

But I have always felt there is more to it..

If I were him, especially in 1993-94 would not feel safe performing in the United States.. U never know what would happen..

Just being extra safe..

There is a reason why even at the trial he wore a bullet proof vest.

Exactly. IMO, MJ not touring the US is a huge part of the reason why there's this misconception that he's not popular in the US. Hopefully he won't do that again.

Well he was getting death threats during the trial so it made sense for him to wear a bullet proof vest. There are a lot of crazy people out there.

whats the evidence for this cause ive heard this a few times but there were never any dates/ticket sale announced tmk. which you would expect if dates there were really going to happen. the only dates i heard of that were cancelled were the aussie ones.

Michael hasn,t felt good in America for a long time but he is living in the USA so who knows if he will tour there if he tours at all. But he loves Europe cause they have always loved him and treated him well. So why wouldn,t he. Its a shame to cause Michael Jackson is there son. I don,t mean all the people but the media and some people who were trying to destroy the man. He love all his fans in the world but feels wanted in Europe ane thats the truth.

well yeh Michael is living in the states right now . HE was in Ireland but he is not now. He may go back there cause lets face it he had his privacy but he not there yet to my knoweldge. I always thought he should of stayed tere but i guess he must of missed his home and family. Anyways i really cant see michael touring even if he has a album he hates touring. and don,t be so fast to count out us oldies cause i,ve been around since michael was 10 1 was 18 so there are lots of us still here going strong for Michael.

Hawaii does coun it is a usa stae so there4 it counts, anyway, as sum1 stated the dangerous tour was gonna hit the states until u know what happened, history tour hit hawaii but im sure performin in 1 state doesnt count as tourin the USA lol, then there was MSG but that doesnt count as a tour so...umm idk its not that he is scared im positive on that, becuz pple will buy tickets lol its a fact

Well I don't have a specific source, I just thought it was common knowledge that Michael cancelled the third leg of the Dangerous World Tour (which would've included North American and Australia) when the 1993 allegations came out.
 
he did his hugley sucessful 30 anneversity show in the usa and he did say he wanted to and would love to tour in the usa during history. when the dangerous album came out he just tour here during bad and the victory tour(which was only in america and canada)i also heard that his mangerment didnot want him to tour here during dangerous because they wanted to launch his movie career and they wanted him to not been seen just as mj the performer. during history he toured places he never toured before . he has been touring here since he was five and touring helps grow your fan base and boost sales he already has a huge fanbase and his sales were great here.and michael truley loves all his fans everywhere.
 
Of course he does. i just wish we could hear his beautiful voice again of don,t we all.
