X-CELLENT START: On its international release day, Michael Jackson’s XSCAPE (Epic) has thus far hit #1 on iTunes in 49 territories, including France, Belgium, Denmark, Netherlands, Spain, Norway, Sweden, Poland, Greece, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam (wonder how you say “King of Pop” in Vietnamese). The album has achieved 82 Top 5 iTunes positions, including #2s in the U.K., Germany, Italy, Finland, Portugal, Switzerland, South Africa, India and Israel, in what is an extremely fluid situation. As we’re seeing today, nearly five years after his death, MJ’s appeal remains unprecedented. (5/12a)

Surely 'Xscape' is already on track to outperform 'Michael'!?
 
Today at HMV in London, the album flew off the shelves! They had to restock and of last count they sold about 200 copies (from a few hours ago) and the manager said the store had reckoned it would sell about 50 initially so was pleased. When I was there the Black Keys album was barley looked at (sitting next to XSCAPE), but alas most of their sales will be from online ones. The MJ Estate will bring in more revenue as actual CDs cost more money than online albums.

Pop means little. All albums chart is more important. Black Keys have been leading all evening.

I firmly believe, if Xscape continues to rise.. then it could Reach the official Number One spot on the UK iTunes Chart. I sincerely hope fans, the public.. EVERYONE Is coming together and celebrating the genius of Michael Joseph Jackson. These song's are a testament to his Recording forte, and they are treasures.. blessed to the world, through his archives.

Can we agree to ONLY POST TOP ALBUMS position? it is so confusion all these #1 Pop, #1 R&B...The only chart that is really important (and gives us a glimpse of his overall position on the upcoming Billboard chart) is the Itunes / Amazon TOP ALBUMS chart.

top 3 in Canada is very good. the album is doing very well, and it has been getting great word of mouth.
