Behind XSCAPE: Love Never Felt So Good

Originally recorded with music veteran Paul Anka (best known for his
work with Frank Sinatra) in 1983, "Love Never Felt So Good" was produced
for this album by MJ Estate co-executor John McClain. Says McClain of
the song: "Michael sounds incredible on this track just like he always
does. There was never a day when he was anything other than great. He is
immortal. And the song is great. Paul Anka is one of our finest
writers." McClain notes Jackson and Anka's shared love for "melodies and
real music...That's what we need right now. It was an honor to work on a
track that is both Mr. Anka's and Michael's." McClain collaborated with
talented classical composer Giorgio Tuinfort (who previously worked
with Jackson and Akon on "Hold My Hand") on the string arrangement and
production. The result is "a magic combination of the new and the
original production" that retains the track's analog, early-80s feel,
while also sounding right at home with the disco-soul inflected music of
today.

I like Loving you... I LOVE Chicago! Everything about it is fantastic, I've listen to it no less than probably 15 times. It's super catchy! These Invincible out takes really make me scratch my head though, how did he pick the track listing... any of the out takes I've heard could of easily taken spots on the album and made Invincible one of his best albums.

The more I hear The snippet they use for xscape the more I worry. The song sounds really weak and light now. Hope it's a remix to put us off.

I don't see why you're nitpicking? to me it sounds perfectly acceptable, plus Michael & Darkchild worked on this song together several times. Michael always wished that this recording would finally see the light of day, and now it is. Plus, it's only a 5 second snippet so... i don't know how you can worry about the whole production.

Wait they are making a high res download? Can anyone share what the mastering for Chicago and Lovin You are? LNFSG was compressed and lacked dynamic range. If the masters bad anyway high res won't matter.

BIBLE THUMPERS: Following the strong showing of the first-ever iHeartRadio Music Awards on NBC last Thursday night, all TV eyes now turn to the Mark Shimmel-booked Billboard Music Awards show, scheduled for 5/24 on ABC.

Lots of chatter about whether the airing of the Michael Jackson single, which had its world premiere on the iHeart Awards, accompanied by Usher’s show-stopping dance moves, could give a boost to the super-expensive MJ hologram planned for the bible telecast that Shimmel has gone on the line for, sight-unseen.

Lots of bashing of the iHeart Awards by the Billboard crew in the weeks leading up to the telecast, as they attempted to block various aspects of the iHeart show.

But as it turned out, the relationships between Clear Channel’s Tom Poleman, John Sykes and the rest of Team iHeart with the top artists in the business was readily apparent, as all involved seemed to enjoy being part of the show.

I thought the way you love me was a redundant addition considering the ultimate collection had it, i just hope they dont salvage the rest from it because its only popular among fans so we'll probably see monkey business etc on a future album

I'm obsessing over Xscape, been listening to the four tracks on repeat for hours today. Can't wait to have the entire album in my hands! I'm beyond happy!! I think I'm gonna have to xscape early from the office on Friday..

There is a rumor that a super expensive Michael Jackson hologram will appear during the Billboard Awards on May 24th, that could have been what the prize for the #XscapeToVegas competition was.

I wish I could get it early! It's frustrating how the US gets it on the 13th, instead of the 9th.
