I voted for the black shirt, because one of my first MJ concert pictures was the one where he wore that very shirt.
It's this pic that I saw many years ago in my chronology book, it was placed right under the year 1982. Can you imagine, they put Bad tour picture from 1987, for the year 1982 and below stated "Michael Jackson, star of the 80s and 90s. Album Thriller is the biggest selling album of all time".
The editors probably thought that the picture was from that era, lol.
