Ok I finally listened to them. Here is how I rank them:

1. PYT (7/10)
2. The Girl Is Mine (6.5/10)
3. Beat It (5/10)
4. WBSS (4/10)
5. Billie Jean (2/10)

Really? You like PYT best? I think I like it least but just as the sound totally changed when I went to headset it will probably be different again on the album. I wonder if all of the sites that have it have the same quality.

Well I don't think PYT is that bad, It's my second favorite after TGIM.

I can't get used to the odd chords but I do like the beat. It is starting to grow on me. ASll of Michael's music I like more with each time I listen to it because of the layers so I may end up liking this very much as well. Overall I think the songs are very good. I think Michael wins either way. If you listen to the originals by Michael and the to the versions with the other artists, if you complain the new stuff isn't as good that should make you appreciate Michael even more. Noone can do it better than he did.

It just makes the originals look 100X better. I definitely have more respect for Mike Jack.

I will post my thought too for these remixes. I think these songs are for promotional use only. Get the young listeners to buy the album and get infected with the Voice of the MasterAngel before the new album comes out. So when i write this review i kept that in mind.

1. PYT (9/10) for a remix pretty good , nana nana nana ( which comes back in this very nice clubbangin'bassline , adlibs amazing!, high pitch sounds, bells and everything. Even michael laughing in the song! The beginning is build perfect with technosounds mixed into R&B .Young listeners will be addictive to the voice of the KOP!!! :lol:

2. The Girl Is Mine (9/10) Nice bassline, young listeners will hear the superb high singing voice ( but I love you endlessly..) cowbells, strings, mix of 80 sound with , adlibs again sounds , nice backgroundvocals of Michael in some parts.
Will . I. Am 's "the way I rock" is something that will be in your head, if you like it or not Addictive song. Nice single for 25T!

3. WBSS (9/10) Here is Akon on HIS best. I like this version, as a remix. Offcourse the original is Heaven, but as a remix/cover I think Akon did a good thing. I love the rough sound of michael's voice in his verse. hiccops I hear on my headphones which I like. I think the "mamasemamasamamamacusa"part is very recognisable after "Rihanna's "Dont stop the music".

4. Billie Jean (6/10) Ok, I like the strings but do not feel this song as much as the above. the beat of the bass is just not CATCHY enough for me. Vocals are good ofcourse. But I think young people ( not fans) like the R&B /Rap thing

4. Beat it ( 7/10) I like the idea of fergie and michael "sharing" the verses. I like "the way they kept the "rock-flavour" for this song. Because of Fergie you can hear how powerfull Michael voice is, so I'm happy with this one.

Overall: 8 --> good Go MICHAEL!!!

Michael has to win over the music critics and the media.. and using what they always judge him by.............Thriller

he's beaten them to the punch before his new music comes out..

for the last 3+ weeks.. music critics have been writing about Thriller.. and they have given Thriller every credit desirable.. (the best thing since slice bread)..

so.. I think its genius of Michael to bring it back with the remix of Thriller.. he has enlisted.. top names in the music biz today.. and thats the key.. he wants a hit.. and a hit today is who is doing it..who has the 'it' factor right now..

like it or not Akon, Will.i.am, Kanye and Fergie have the 'it' factor... not because they are brilliant musicians.. in today's game in the industry.. its not about that (being able to sing or write your own music)...

I find Michael is very much 'with-it'...I think he has his finger on the pulse of what is going to get him to #1 ...and remember

Akon always gets to #1 and he can't sing, Kanye gets to #1 and he doesn't even compose his own music (sample king).. Fergie gets to #1 and she is not the best either..

but stepping back.. I can see the objective is not to have 'THE BEST' on the remix... but the 'most popular'.. and in todays game in music.. that is all u need..

I have to remember that Michael is also an exec in the industry so he knows.. what he needs to do .. to have his music 'out there' again.. and he is hunger enough to make it happen...

u can remix a classic and make it marketable to the new geneneration but you can't remix a classic to make it better...


and I think the former is what Michael is aiming.. to introduce his music to the young Akon, Fergie and Kanye fans..

of course us die harts already have and greatly appreciate the original but there are MILLIONS that dont.. but I can guess... they will be trying to find out all about Mike when the Thriller 25 drops... in fact .. they probably started already .. since the leak..


the best part is that all those artist have the ultimate respect for Michael and they are the perfect marketing mouth-piece (ie: Akon with that radio interview)...

bring on 2008....................just to repeat.. I am soooooooo ready...

I can't believe ya'll are trippin over some dang remixes. Did u think MJ would stop and put total and extreme effort into this, more so than the album he's already working on? Will I Am probably did most of this stuff and MJ over saw it. But MJ is CREATIVELY INVESTED in this new album and yes, it'll have an updated "today's music" sound, and if u have a problem with that, then that's gonna be a problem :lol: But just cuz Will is producing it and giving MJ that sound doesn't mean it's gonna suck. YOu heard Ne Yo, MJ's being very picky with the NEW ALBUM and he, himself, is not gonna put crap on his album.

This remix thing is only a RERELEASE of an old album. Nothing more except more promotion for MJ. It is NOT a proper album.

YOu are on point and so is mike. Smart move on his part. Young folk nowadays are brainwashed to the point that their brain is dead. They love garbage to the point that they think the classic is crap! Its really sad and im glad that I don't have that frame of mind being that I am young adult. My sister can't stand old school, even song from like the 90's but she will blast this new garbage, now why is that? That's because music has reached an ALL TIME LOW.

So michael is smart for offering the old classics and a new updated feel. What I don't think was smart was allowing fergie and aCorn, and kayne anywhere near thriller or any of his music. Will's remixes are the best. I really like TGIM and PYT. Billie jean is alright with me too (im just glad kanye didn't rap). And to tell the truth I wasn't gonna buy this before I listened because I was like this ain't nothing new and I thought that all of the remixes would suck but two of them are good and one is alright. So I might just get the single or something.

what i am noticing is that a lot of the ppl saying that michael sold out or that don't like the remixes is because the mixes don't have a POP feel to it. A lot of yall don't like R&B or hip hop so that why you don't like the songs and did'nt give the songs a chance. I don't like country music but i do have the decency to admit that some country song are good. Well to be REALLY HONEST i am alittle tired of michael doing pop. I mean really, how long is michael gonna do pop and nothing but pop, PLEASE. Michael is a business man.. at 50years.. you can bet his direction is to make money... he's an exec in the MUSIC BUSINESS.. remember NOT the 'music-not-for-profit"....but music business..

Hip/hop is the #1 music genre.. and he was one of the innovators back in the 60's / 70's...so why not..

let the man breathe.. he has given us great music for 40+ years... and hell.. he is planning to give us more with the new album...

chill.. let him do his thing..

he might make it look easy.. but its not easy.. to just bring it back with just a 'snap'.. after 3 years of hell...

I am starting a 2008 ... crow eating list.. because I feel.. some folks are going to eating crow.. when they look back at their comments...
