"For all time" confirmed as new vocals

AW: Breaking News!!!! New Song New Vocals!!!

Well, who knows whether the information in that book is correct!

Re: Breaking News!!!! New Song New Vocals!!!

Not so 'breaking'.. :)

I do love the song though

I'm loving it!!!
Those new vocals are good although I liked the version like it was leaked before too:)

After the bridge he goes like 'and maybe the walls will crubble,...' and for a while it sound like there's another voice in the background, This isn't on the other version, right?
Is it Michael or some sort of choir?
Did somebody else hear this too or am I wrong?

Re: Breaking News!!!! New Song New Vocals!!!

a mod/staff member should merge both threads or rename the title of this thread ;)

it only leads to confusion

Why create a new thread on this?

Re: Breaking News!!!! New Song New Vocals!!!

Not being released doesn't make it new. Most people have heard it a long time ago. And the new vocals don't make it new either -- it still sounds pretty much the same as the leaked version.

I pretty much agree. Besides, it sounds to me that the new vocals kick in at 1:31 and beyond.....the first part sounds like the old vocals, unless he still really sounds like that.

The song sound's like a totally different song, due I suppose to the remastering and the new vocals, wherever they start, lol. So its all good.

It's obviously not a "Thriller" outtake. Sony has a habit of getting credit wrong. Like saying Michael wrote "On The Line", so... It doesn't matter though. This song deserved an official release.

i realy like this , brings me to tears almost,

a little piece of heavan .

u think? they sound different to me but thats probably just the quality being different.according to some the bridge isnt new vocals. the same vocals are in the demo but its just been turned up( if u wanna call it that) so u can actually hear him singing.if u listen carefully to the demo i could agree with that

As far as I could tell from playing the two versions side by side and line by line, the vocals are identical. I have some doubts about the bridge and some background vocals but otherwise I can't really detect any difference at all.

Actually, I'm a little bit miffed that they're claiming that this is a Thriller outtake when it clearly is not. According to Cadman & Halstead's For the record, it wasn't even written until circa 1990. If that comes out, MJ's gonna look ridiculous. He didn't even write it, so he won't be able to deny that it has nothing to do with Thriller:(.

The Vocals are IDENTICAL to that on the Dangerous Era Demo.

most vocals are the same, yes

but didn't you recognize the new lyrics which begin with the new bridge and more vocal layers in general (not to mention that instruments and harmonies have been added right from the beginning over the whole song)?

maybe you've downloaded a FAKE, there are definitely never-before-heard lyrics

The leaked demo probably had it in but it was so muddled you couldn't really hear much. They just happen to "magically" digitally remaster it and then have "new" vocals on it, THEN say it's from a RECORDED OUTTAKE FROM "THRILLER" when in actually it's a "Dangerous" outtake from 1990. He may have WRITTEN it in '82 but he didn't record it until '90 and it STILL didn't make any album until now.

It was known before FOR ALL TIME came out that new vocals were recorded. The statement from SONY confirmed it so I dont know why ppl are acting so surprised.

I thought this was all it said:
The new tracks include exclusive remixes from Kanye West, Fergie, will.i.am and Akon along with a previously unreleased track from the Thriller sessions, "For All Time," newly mixed and mastered by Michael Jackson.

It does kinda give the impression that it may have had new vocals... but I wasn't sure.

I thought there was something more specific than that? Could be wrong. Wouldnt be the first, wont be the last!

I\d say the only new thing is the bridge, added with new vocals and lyrics from michael, and background vocals from a female singer. For all time could be an outtake from thriller. as far as we know, michael could have recorded another version at the time of thriller. And then made a new demo for dangerous sessions. Maybe the dangerous session version was allready a good demo so it didn\t need so much work on it and the thriller version that we\ve never heard was completetly crap and unreleasable like quincy once said about the original thriller recordings.

I hope i didn\t confuse you
