Los Angeles Power106's Big Boy Meets MJ NEW PIXS OF MJ HERE!

Roxanne, do not nitpick or twist what I said.
I said I have not heard any outcry from the black community or any other community. I DID NOT SAY BLACK PEOPLE CANNOT DISS MIKE.
Now I said I was not offended by what Big boy said. I thought it was harmless and even MJ would have laught at it. It is my opinion Rox.

ok sorry :innocent: :flowers:

Now I took the comment as though Bigboy were making fun of the rumors that Michael's nose was removeable. Saying it at all probably wasn't the best idea simply because it can be misconstrued or seen as a jab at Michael. Any comments about Michael's face are always iffy because usually when people speak about his appearance, its meant in a deragatory way, sadly.

I don't believe MJ would be pissed at all. I think MJ has a wiched sense of humour and he does laugh at himself. I see that in Ghosts, and in Leave Me alone among other places. Even the disguises MJ uses suggests to me that MJ can laugh at himself. The joke was not nasty.

I don't think MJ would laugh at such a private issue like his plastic surgeries, something that he REALLY avoids talking about.

Also just cuz the Black Panthers and Jesse Jackson aren't on Big Boy's azz doesn't mean that he was right in saying what he said

Had he said MJ looked aweful with plastic surgery and his nose was falling off, I would have been offended, but he never talked about his looks in any negative way. I think the nose joke was something even MJ would giggle at, cause it was so ridiculous, I feel he was laughing at the people who believed it more than MJ.
Saying MJ's nose is falling off regularly and ish directly implies that he went 'too far' with plastic surgery and is an insult and something I don't think MJ would ever laugh at. If he does I would be really REALLY shocked.

yeah i mean u just met the dude, he was gracious to u, i would think u'd give the same graciousness back...but eh guess not. That's what' the nose joke to me said. It's like "u cool, I respect you as a star and artist, but i have no REAL respect for YOU as a person". I think it's really snotty.

I did not see how that was snotty or disrespectful at all. It was a joke. It was never meant to insult Mike. Big Boy was not meant to kiss theman's ass and I wouldnot shocked if MJ could care less what Big Boy said about his nose. Mike also made fun of himself as well. He is in the music business this long for a reason: he has tough skin. That man was called every word and a nose joke that Big Boy said you are going to take it as disrespect? I think that some of you fans protect MJ way too much to have a sense of humor and LAUGH! It was funny.

It would be the same situation if someone else was involved, it would still prove disrespectful and cheap on behalf of the amused parts and if other people were adressed such comments like on-air, they would not take it lightheartedly at all.

Ok, here is my question - why come on a positive thread and talk about something that really had nothing to do with the topic at hand? You took one part of someone's opinion and just ran with it. Did youlisten to the audio? At the very last part of the interview is where the nose joke was mentioned. The entire audio was positive and on point. However, all you want to dwell on is something that has nothing to do with the topic at hand.

Perhaps Big Boy did not want to intentionally diss him either, but he alluded to things Eminem had, and Boy's voice impersonation was appalling and lame, just as the Blanket joke, in which he compared him to Penelope Cruz. So, there were jokes upon jokes of bad taste, suggesting a lack of manliness on Michael's part and I compare them to that video. And of course, I would advice everyone to check themselves in the mirror and try to envision living a similar life to the dissed one before dissing him. No matter how we look at it, lightheartedly or not, anyone else would be harmed by remarks as those, irrespective of their own sense of humour.

First of all - Eminem is a loser. I do not care what anyone says. He should have never went there with MJ. He trashed the man when the man was down. For that, I have zero respect for the "man".

Second, Big Boy's impersonation of MJ's voice was not "lame". He was trying to tell the story. Everyone mocks Michael's voice. You think MJ gives a damn? No. What Big Boy did was just telling people how MJ sounds. We all know that Mike really does not talk like that, but who cares? He compared Blanklet to Penelope Cruz - not only was that funny, it was lighthearted. We all seen that child, he is cute and he kinda reminds me of what his mother might look like. To Big Boy, Blanket looked like the actress to him. That was never meant to erase Blanket's man side considering the fact that Blanket is a boy and nowhere near a man. It also had nothing to do with MJ's manhood. It was a silly joke, that was funny, about the child. However, have you listen to what Big Boy said about MJ's son? Maybe you did not. He talked about how quiet and well behaved the boy was. Do you know how many five years are NOT like that? Exactly my point. What video? It is an audio. As for the mirror comment, what is the point of saying that? I looked at the situation as positive, lighthearted and funny. I think what was said had more substance then silly jokes that are harmless. Who knows, Big Boy could have said that to MJ's face and Mike laughed.

I don't believe MJ would be pissed at all. I think MJ has a wiched sense of humour and he does laugh at himself. I see that in Ghosts, and in Leave Me alone among other places.

Exactly, Dats. Moonwalker was a great example of MJ making fun at himself and Steve Harvey did tell Extra during the trial that MJ has a sense of humor. Remember, Big Boy also said that MJ did not hold back his tongue. Who knows what kind of crazyiness, silly, you-know-Mike-was-not-right-with-that-comment things that MJ said. When someone says that a person does not hold its toungue, it means that the conversation that Big Boy had with Mike was as honest, as raw, as in your face as it can possibily be.

Thank you for posting the YouTube link. I enjoyed it.

You are very welcome.

Maybe MJ wouldn't get offended...i don't think he'd cry about it or anything like that, ur right he's been called all everything under the sun, but that doesn't mean that i can just go on and talk about whatever thte hell i want about him, as long as it's not a 'child molestor'....doesn't mean that what he said wasn't bogus. Jokes are jokes, but there are other things involving MJ u can joke about...instead of his LOOKS and his PLASTIC SURGERY, something that's obviously pretty dang sensitive to him.

I'm not saying its a huge big deal. And i'm not gonna make a mass email campaign to big boy. BUT...i don't think what he said was funny...and I have a sense of humor when it comes to MJ. It was a cheep shot and YES, disrespectful. Not something I see MJ laughing at. Sorry. If the man avoids talking about the subject in freakin interviews, then i don't think making fun of it is a wise thing to do.

Seeing how many people took the nose comment seriously and are offended by it, sometimes I sure am glad I don't know any die-hard MJ fans irl, lol. Jesus. You might as well eliminate any joke that goes over PG-13 from existence if you don't got a nose for this. No pun intended.

what's really sad is that if someone wants to defend MJ about the nose jokes they're made to feel like pariahs.

i don't think anyone has been in MJ's position enough to know what he's feeling. besides..i don't think anyone here has proven that they could take such a joke. we are all touchy with each other, for goodness sakes..lol:lol:

What's sad is that you expect to be able to state your opinion without people ever offering a counter-opinion. Nine times out of ten when I have seen somebody on here say "I have a right to say what I want," it has ironically been at the expense of someone else's freedom of speech. You were put off by the joke. I wasn't. And I'm going to say that the opposing side is too sensitive all I want.

omg here go the snap turtles again lol

Anyways...here's the question I pose...would Big Boy say that to MJ's face instead of outside the meeting where he knew people would find it funny? Would he really say something like that to MJ's face? No, i don't think so, cuz he knows it's bogus and disrespectful lol

I say if u can't joke about it in front of that person's face, then it's probably not a good thing to say period. I simply can't imagine Big Boy sitting up there saying "haha so where's ur other nose MichaeL? upstairs? Do u replace it every day? Will your nose fall off and touch me or something? Eh?? Ha ha ha"...and MJ laughing with him. sorry nooot cool lol

see what i mean?

I like when MJ fans say they have a sense of humor about MJ, but seemingly have a very limited and on edge one, if at all. I totally understand being put off by the child molestation jokes, but on the whole, I don't get when fans are like:

"I'm cool with jokes about MJ. Just nothing about the trial, his appearance, his race, baby dangling, or his sexuality. But everything else is okay."

Yeah, okay.

see what i mean?

No. Rarely do I see what you mean or believe it makes any sort of sense whatsoever. I gather that you're implying that replying to you with my opposing opinion means that I'm being too serious, which would collaborate with the not making sense.

um again, i ask will u joke about MJ's plastic surgery to his face and feel comfortable doing it? If not then I don't think it's right to say it anywhere else. That's how i feel with ANYONE....if i can't say it to someone's face i simply won't say it, that's how i avoid being MEAN and disrespectful to someone lol.

So next time u meet mj i double tripple dare you to joke around about the trial in front of him, or his plastic surgery, or his vitiligo (if thats what u mean by race).

I guess being sensitive to someone's feelings is being just sooooooo blind and a kill-joy right?

no...i'm just saying that you are proving that we are extremely touchy with each other...and that justifies me defending MJ. and i'm just saying that MJ has feelings too.

Fine. Never make any sort of joke that pushes any sort of envelope ever. I guarantee you that there is someone out there who will be offended by every single one. Big Boy said that MJ laughed at stuff he "wasn't supposed to," whatever that means, so what if he laughed at something that wasn't classy? Well, it'd be pretty normal.

I'm not personally offended though lol.

And 2. sure MJ has laughed at a tasteless joke. Tasteless joke doesn't always equal = joke about his personal life. And the fact that he was so freakin sensitive about his brothers calling him big nose and all that, and seems still a little hurt by it...it's a logical thing for me to stay away from that line of joking around...the only reason i WOULDN'T stay away from that was to just make him upset. There are other 'tasteless' jokes to make.

And Big Boy knows that, everyone knows that. that's why i say, if it was meant to be a jab at mj and not the media, it would have been disrespectful.

And considering the trial was obviously one of the worst times of his life, i'd stay clear of that one too.

I know, that's why I said the child molestation jokes are one subject I understand if people want to totally steer clear from. But it almost becomes too depressing if one can never make light about any of the other subjects, though.

even if it is a know sensitive issue to MJ?

Just cuz it's not as grave of an issue like the trial doesn't mean MJ doesn't get hurt by it.

Again, it depends on the way its done. I didn't see an issue with what Big Boy said, but I think people like Perez are idiots. If MJ disagrees, well, we're different people. Not that you can actually know he'd be upset by Big Boy's remark, nor that I could know that he wasn't.

I haven't listened to the interview yet...will get around to it...but there's something about the first photo that jumps out at me and I REALLY love it!

In the first photo, Michael looks SO much like he does in the photo he's in below with his parents!

Both photos are posted above...the one with Big Boy and the one with Katherine and Joe. The one with his parents was taken in the early 90's.
