Weekend News Bytes for March 21-23, 2008 (update on post #41 for March 23)

Re: Weekend News Bytes for March 21-23, 2008

Why wasn't that report posted here? I never saw it. They only report I saw of Michael moving stuff out was the one from that reporter in Vegas who said he saw assistants moving Michael's things in boxes from his suite in the Palms hotel.
I didn't post it because I wasn't sure if I could trust the source(s) where I saw it. (and I don't remember where now). As I said in my post I don't know how valid it was. Let's put it this way, I didn't discount it out of hand. It had a ring of credibiity but I think it was from someone like that Norme guy.

Actually I think it was mentioned when papers were still talking about NV being auctioned. Since I thought that was over the top I did't pay much attention to the 'moving his things out article either.

Well there was a report that he had people moving stuff OUT of Neverland last week. I don't know how valid the report is but I guess I wouldn't get my hopes up about him moving back in the near future. We will see.

Maybe he moved in with Will.i.am. lol

I shouldn't kid. New members might believe me.:p

are you sure you're not mixing that up with the report of him moving
boxes out of the Psalms hotel where he was staying - I dont remember
any reports or articles about moving anything from Neverland - do you
have a source for that report? YOU are the ONLY one Ive ever heard
say that ....

^ There was an article from the NATIONAL ENQUIRER a couple weeks ago, which got picked up by a few other sources, which talked about Michael "pillaging" his personal belongings from Neverland out of fear that they'd be auctioned off. Some "close associates" (purportedly two of his brothers) supposedly snuck into the property late at night and took everything from it except the Ferris Wheel to give back to him, or so the ridiculous tabloid rumor proclaimed. No truth to it at all, I'm certain. The story was published about a week before the news of the extension/agreement was reported.

Michael Jackson's assistants, removing boxes Tuesday from his Palms suite. Jackson vacated the premises about 10 days ago, destination unknown, after a three-month stay with his three children. ..

That's interesting, it might explain why there haven't been much sightings or news recently. Well wherever Michael and his children are, I hope they are ok.

LOOKS like I’ve spent this week revisiting the 1980s. First, MJ’s Thriller, and now, this, the third in a series of four 100 Essential albums put out by Universal Music.

I do have to agree with my colleagues Rashvin and Jacobus who pointed out that way too many classic songs are omitted simply because the 100 Essential songs are culled just from one major label, thus while the 1960s left out the Beatles and the Stones, this 80s version has no contributions from Queen or OMD or even Michael Jackson, simply.

A string of A&M solo albums (including Body Heat, The Dude) followed. Then in 1974 Jones endured two neurological operations after suffering a cerebral aneurysm. But that didn't stop him. After working with Michael Jackson while scoring Lumet's The Wiz, Jones and the young dynamo partnered for a series of classic albums, including the history-making, top-selling Thriller. That was followed by the Grammy Award-winning USA for Africa benefit single, We Are the World, which found the duo working with another R&B/pop icon, Lionel Richie.

The first mentioning of today's update (Sunday) seemed rude as if to say Michael could only like that movie because of kids it's a back handed slap and you know if Michael had never been accused of being improper with children nobody would even suggest that!

Very true. MJ and Mark are the same age and just about everyone loved that movie, so I don't understand why the writer was being a pick, but then guess you shouldn't expect any better from that type of paper.:)

Mike would never LOSE Neverland.. as long as he wants it, he'll have it.. He knows TOO many people with TOO many ways of making deals with him (for personal gain) that would be willing to help Michael.

you know Stacy Brown? Well Stacy Brown strikes again with a pamphlet on the whole Jackson Clan, writing they are in a deep junk, and guess who is responsible, right Michael!

It's in the New York Post, I don't supply you with the link, because I think recently there was given the advice for this Forum to bring nothing negative, correct?.

But you will find the link on yahoo news.

Exactly. That bastard is not going to met MJ anyway so whatever. I never saw the movie "Oliver" but it could be a lot of people's favorite movie for various reasons. Why would that fool even assume that of MJ? Hating ass people.

I think Fox has an article on it too. I haven't read it but saw the lead line in a google search. I wonder how often a 'source' Stacy Brown is. Sad for him that his only means of income seems to be biting the hand that fed him so long

Re: Weekend News Bytes for March 21-23, 2008

Thanks for this, Shannon and take your time. :)

I got some news. The idiots over at TMZ have video of Liz Taylor coming out of some place. They asked her about MJ. This is what they asked her (I am going to paraphase).

* They asked her about the NL situation. She looked shocked when these phototags told her and then she said that she knows nothing about what/is going on with NL.

* One of the stalkers aka phototags asked her if she has spoken to Michael. She said that she has spoken to him "fairly recently". They asked her how was MJ and she said that he "sounded good".

* Lastly, she said that she wishes MJ all of the love and the best in the world.

It was pretty nice.

Magazine alert: Today I went to Seven Eleven during my lunch break and I looked at the new issue of Blender magazine. They did an "review" or "reissue" of Thriller 25. I think it is on page 89 or 68, I forgot! LOL. Dang.... and I just had the page number a minute ago. The country singer, Taylor Swift is on the cover. I did not read the article because I was in a hurry but it is at least a page long. Looks interesting but knowing Blender magazine and the media in general, I am iffy. They might have some stupid comments here and there.

That is all the news I have for now.

Thanks for that Bee. We haven't heard from Elizabeth in relation to Michael in a while, so that was sweet. Glad to know they're still keeping in contact. She's wonderful.

Yea seems like the ish is spreading like wild fire. Now tmz has a run down as to what kind of odd jobs the Jacksons are doing in order to have ends meet. I can now see the Jacksons making an official statement pretty soon about this ridiculous story that Greaser has started.

Stacy Brown is such a loser. The Jackson family will probably make a statement on this trash. It's too bad they have to. Just another way to try and make Michael look bad.

Damn, so the Stacy Brown BS has spread? LOL. Please. This loser needs a lawsuit in his hand.

BTW, what the eff is he doing for a living? The last time I checked, he was busy being a media whore. I did not know that was a job. The Jacksons might look like they are doing "odd jobs" but why is Stacey hating on their hustle? WTF is he doing? He needs to let it go regarding what the Jacksons are doing because he is the one who got himself out of the Jackson clan. If he was a "friend" he would have respected the family and stop trashing MJ. But no, he realized that he was not making any money out of doing that. Well, let him do his "thing" and let the "media" pick it up. I am not paying no mind. A hater is a hater and Stacey is that hater. He needs to change his name to something more manly. It is a ***** that he has a feminine name. Then again, he is a ***** regardless.

Is Stacey Brown hating on the Jacksons for working for a living? At least they are not spunging off someone elses name.:)

Stacy needs to get sued. This is outright slander. And he's been doing stuff like this and getting increasingly worse with it ever since the end of the trial. The Jacksons shouldn't just release a statement IMO. They need to deal with Stacy in court. Point blank. Enough is enough.

Dats - He is a total fool. Why STILL talk about a family that wants nothing to do with you? If Joe was not so old, he would kick that fool's rear.

They need to destroy this clown and call it day.

Thanks for the updates. It's good to hear that Liz is still supportive of Michael.

No one's ever accused me of being a dancer before. The only time I'd ever danced—before going on this show—I ended up in the hospital. I was doing the Michael Jackson dance from "Thiller" when I was 11, spun around and fell face-first on a speaker in my house. I was bleeding between the eyes. It's still the most visible scar I've got on my body. I guess you could say my expectations for myself were pretty low coming into this.

Five years on, invading US soldiers still in Iraq

Then a 19-year-old private just out of school, the memories of the day he entered Baghdad are etched in his mind.
"It was a shock," said the darkly tanned, smiling-faced Sanchez, who now boasts the rank of staff sergeant and has a squad of 11 troops under his command.
"The birds (helicopters) were blowing up vehicles and buildings as we were walking down the road. The Iraqis were preoccupied with looting. We saw a forklift driving down the road with chandeliers on it. It was a crazy time."
Later, once Iraqis realised Saddam had been toppled, the invading troops were treated as heroes.
"It was like a parade. Troops were swamped with people. They were screaming 'Michael Jackson' and doing Michael Jackson with their shoulders."

man...between the troops story and the lazy writers of the quincy jones artilces...who know quincy did a vast variety of stuff...i'd say there is no general public when it comes to Michael Jackson. those iraquis only think of Michael when they think of america? whoa..that says a lot for MJ

KOPV - I feel on that because everytime I come on here, I really feel that something big is going to be announce regarding MJ's future projects.

TSCM - I am telling you, TMZ is full of crap. After they aired that trash days ago regarding NL, I hada two day boycott of the show. They really pissed me off. Now, I am just going to be on the look out for what they have next. They need to let that NL story go and let it be. Harvey Levin needs to stop hating and accept the fact that Mike is NOT getting rid of NL so that he can have first dibs at the place and what is in it. Fools.

TWO day boycott. AAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Is Nathaniel Brown (Rebbie's husband) related to Stacy Brown? Are they brothers?

I think that's great; kids learning things via Michael songs. Great idea. I can just picture the wee ones singing this stuff to Beat It. Must be adorable to see/hear.

Good also that kids are being exposed to MJ's groundbreaking performances; I bet he'll inspire a lot of them. :)
