Wheel and come again!
No way in hell should Michael Joseph Jackson step one foot on the Oprah Winfrey show! I could'nt care less how much more albums he could sell by appearing. The woman has alluded that she believes he's a paedophille, why on earth should he even want to be on her show? Michael Jackson is no sell out!!!!
Yes me too. It was a big 'Up Yours' to the media. I loved how they said he will talk to them later and to this day he has not said a word. He called Linda Deutch to say thank you. This means that MJ was well aware of who was reporting the truth. He also knows what Oprah did. He will not go on her show. I wouldn't be surprised if she already sent her agent out to get him. Don't forget that there would have been a media war going on to get that interview. MJ doesn't have to say a word for me to see what he is saying. I get it loud and clear.Did Oprah really ask Michael to do an interview during his trial? I have never heard that. What I did love about Michael was the the fact after the verdict, Michael and his family walked out of court and did not talk to NO ONE. The media hated that and I LOVED it.
Oprah is an entertainment icon and a billionaire. I don't think she worries about what Jackson thinks. She is very powerful and can drive sells of books and music through an appearance on her show. She is so powerful that her endorsement may carry Barack Obama straight to the White House. In his comeback bid, Jackson should be well advised to do a sit down with Oprah before the release of his next record.
Oprah was one of the first to bring trashy programmes to the scream. She was among the first to have people spilling their guts about their private life on tv. That was what she was famous for. When MJ went on her programme, he gave hershow respectabilty. She changed up the format of her shows and decided to be a councillor instead of just listening to people slagging each other off. When MJ did that interview, iothercelebs thought it was hip to go on her show too, so she created that section for celebs to come on her show. MJ was the inspiration behind her cleaning up her show and become respectable, which made her even more famous and an icon.and to the quote that you quoted, Bee..i add this..
Oprah has been around..but..Michael MADE Oprah...not the other way around.
i'm assuming that it was just as easy for the one who quoted that Oprah is a billionaire, to just believe it just because the media says it, as it is to believe MJ is in financial straits, just because the media believes it. for all we know, it may be the other way around...just because the media reports it.
ever since 1993's historic interview...EVERYBODY wants an Oprah interview...except MJ.
Honestly, the only talk show that I'd feel perfectly comfortable seeing Michael appear on at this point would be Ellen DeGeneres' show. Ellen would make the interview fun and enjoyable, and she's shown nothing but love for the entire Jackson family (always dancing to MJ and Janet's music, etc). There's no doubt that Oprah would ask Michael all of the most personal and controversial questions from 1993 through present, all of the questions that Michael has answered repeatedly and that he's expressed a strong desire not to talk about.
I wish that Michael would just put together his own two-hour documentary strictly about his musical genius and the way he creates songs and then sell it to the highest network bidder. That way, there's no way for it to go wrong and the public would see the so often neglected, yet unsurpassed MUSICAL side of him.
Correct. While Oprah was well known in Chicago and regionally, the MJ interview enhanced her national status. There is no question about this.Oprah did not start out being an billionaire or an icon...
that interview with Michael back in 1993.. catapoled her into that realm..
make no mistake...

Let's not get carried away here. Oprah didn't make MJ and MJ didn't make Oprah. Oprah was very well on her way to the big leagues -- in fact, she had arrived there already. The interview with MJ pushed her over the top in the mega league. MJ's interview reaffirmed his status as the Kang of Pop. They did it out of mutual benefit factors.
Oprah is also a phony. LOL. Look, she is a legend in her own right. MJ have the very same type of power than she does, but for some reason, you are not saying that. I do not get the props and I do not see what is so great about her. She has no credibility in my opinion. Oprah gets the big interviews, but that is part of her job if she wants to make that big money. I do not see anything great about that. I do not care where MJ goes to do his interviews because he has to do one anyway. I wouldn't mind if he did Oprah or whoever, but it is not going to change people's opinions about the guy.
