it means if somebody shows up and says his/her family were rich and your family was poor and your parents USED you to get rich..

Im sorry if you think its not then maybe you think having a family is most stupid thing in this world or maybe you're not attached with your family at all..

Dont be offended im just givin you an example,just take it on yourself and then say how terrible it was..:)
 
Some people are very close to their families and respect and love eachother. Therefore they are very sensetive when people bring up their family name...Like the Jacksons so Beyonce had no right to bring up their name in the first place, let alone say they were used to get rich!
 
not a big issue.

But a bad comparison from Beyonce, she wasn't as talented as Michael at a early age so her parents are in a totally different boat.
 
For quite a few years I've though of Beyonce of just being a bland pop star with average music who rips off Tina Turner's act, and a nice but boring person. Know I have reason to dislike her as a person.

Beyonce is upper class, Mmmm !!! ............ Then so are the Jackson family offspring who I'm sure have all been privately. One thing Beyonce should remember is that the Jackson's are musicially the most talented family off all time, and that Michael is one of the great geniuses of popular music. Which neither Beyonce or her arrogant sister are. Oh, and isn't the "Upper Class" Beyonce married to Jay Z who was a former "drug dealer" !!!

Let's hope this anti Jackson family remark causes a much need backlash against her !!!

i agree with that..she might have been more careful and anticipate possible reaction..
however i don´t find it offensive - she just put the truth too plainly..something like that could be said about any family making fortune by raising a child star..
i think beyonce is a nice person..and very talented..
much worse things have ever been said about the jackson family..this is nothing and i really doubt she wanted to offend anybody..

Beyonce is a nobody. I never liked this fool and everytime I see a pic of her, I want to vomit. See, the Jacksons are very nice people. Because if they weren't, they would have let her have it. Esp. Janet and Joe would have beat Beyonce.

As for as this nonsense that she "loves" MJ - please. I question a lot of people who claim they "love" MJ and then trash him or his family for no reason.

Beyonce forgets that she has a serious credibility issue and she needs to work on that. She also forgets that without Joe, Mike and Janet would not be the stars that they are and Jackson 5/Jacksons would not be the legends that they are and hence, there would have been no DC or Beyonce.

As far as her comment about going to private school and her father driving a Jaguar - WHO CARES? How does going to private school makes anyone reasonable or smart or better than people? It is just school at the end of the day. How does her dad driving a Jaguar makes her better than others? My dad drive a Mercedes and he is not shoving it to people's faces. Beyonce is a shallow nobody and I do not care how "talented" she is. She is no different than so called "artists" that have no real talent. She fluff.

Oh yeah, mediatakeout.com also had a field day with this fool's comments. Almost everyone on there trashed Beyonce. However, the black blogs cannot stand that clown anyway.

Two things to point out here

1) the key word that i didn't appreciate was "USING" that just jacked the whole quote up for me.
&
2) ppl on here keep saying you know how the media twists word or tabloid trash. But this was printed in "ELLE" magazine. How does one exactly twist that. I strongly believe she said it and her goof-ball behind is so slow that she didn't think it was a bad thing to say. But It just shows how fake she. is.
 
I think and hope that Beyonce didn't mean what she said in the way people are taking it.
 
Good old Janet! But I really don't think Beyonce meant it to sound as bad as it did, she is a big fan of the Jacksons isn't she?
 
yes..she's a fan of Michael and the family. but the scuffle on this thread has to do with Beyonce in Elle magazine(not the national enquirer) saying that Joseph used his sons.

the reality is, that the entire Jackson family USED their talent to make it big. they didn't use each other.

Joseph tried to keep MJ out of the group. MJ wanted in.

They worked as a team, as a family. Their variety show, charity work, and collaborations they did with/for each other etc proves this. :yes:

Excellent points. Elle magazine did not make this up. They interview her and she said it. This has to be the third time she compared herself to the Jackson family. She did that the other times to promote "B-Day". There is no way that her words were twisted. She said the exact quotes and the magazine printed that. There is no way to twist what she said. She stated that Joe and Katherine used their children to get out of a bad situation. She was calling Mike's, Janet's and the rest of the Jacksons parents users and implied that they were selfish. However, she forgets that her father practically used her and her sister for a career of being their manager and he is still her manager.

The black blogs do not like her mainly because she is phony. It orginated from the time she was a member of DC. In 1999, two former members, LeToya and LaTavia were suddenly out of the group. Rumors were flying that they left the group so that Beyonce can have a career as a solo artist. When two new girls were added to the group, Michelle and Farrah, all seemed well. Then, Farrah got sick one day when the group was scheduled to be at some show or event. Since Farrah did not show up, Beyonce and the group decided to kick her off the group as well and the group became a trio. That is how I remembered the story. Also, Beyonce, in interviews, sounds stupid and uneducated and she says things that makes no sense. She always try to be better than others and when performs with legends such as Tina and Prince, she tries to "outshine" them. She stated at one time that she was jealous that she was not a Latina. Regarding Kelly and Michelle, each of them released solo work but for some reason, their work would be pushed back because Beyonce had a single out or that Beyonce was getting ready to do something. I know a lot of people noticed that about that situation. There are so many reasons why the black blogs do not like that fool. I think the reasons are accurate. The woman is a complete joke.

Isn't that what being a family supposed to be bout?... helping each other & being there 4 one another ALWAYS NO MATTER WHAT!

My position stands and I still think people are over reacting. I can see not liking it but I really don't think it was intended to be as hurtful as it seems.

Either way I'm not offended by the remark. Some people look at Joeseph and do feel that he used his sons to gain the success that he wasn't able to achieve himself. Is it mean? Kinda but I see what people are saying when they say that. I'm not saying I feel the same way she does but I understand what she's saying.
 
I don't think Beyonce meant to cause harm by saying it, but she did. It was a callous, hurtful statement that was thrown out there without thought. She probably didn't plan it beforehand, she just said it, and unintentionally hurt the people she looks up to.

I hope that Beyonce issues a statement revoking it. She could fix this with Janet; I hope she doesn't have too much pride to issue one.

no. and the clock is ticking. i've seen people retract statements, or clear the air a lot faster than Beyonce is doing now, if for no other reason, to protect their rep, if it is a good rep. if nothing else..say that the mag misquoted her. but, when i think about an incident where she was auditioning people for a backup band, and she put down a lot of good musicians, and rejected them, cus she didn't like their fashion sense, and the like.. i think she really does have an uppity attitude, and i dare stay, she stands by her statement, and she made that statement.

He did not used his sons to get out of a bad situation. Also, she was not just saying that Joe did that, she was saying Katherine as well because she said, The Jacksons. Matthew Knowles used his daughters to have a career.

If she didn't say that, her father or her would have released a statement denying it already because they are on top of everything when it comes to her image and all of that. Also, Elle is a credible magazine so I don't know why some are trying to dismiss it as a tabloid. Beyonce did in fact say that about The Jacksons and obviously stands by what she says.

You must not know about the Davies' brothers in 'The Kinks' and the Robinson brothers in 'The Black Crowes', who always get into fistfights and talk trash about each other in interviews. Or Tom & John Fogerty in 'Creedence Clearwater Revival', who had little to do with each other after the group broke up. :p

yes..Beyonce appears on every magazine cover..surely she is aware of what they all print.
 
I hope this gets straightened out soon. I really like Beyonce as an entertainer. She can't top Janet, but I like her.

The fallout over the original Destiny's Child, Mathew Knowles playing favoritism over her versus other members, basically her "pushing" her way to film roles people feel she has no position being in, singing hip-pop songs, acting too overdramatic at her concerts, her songs are ALWAYS played on the radio to an annoying degree, her still being a twentysomething puppet for her father's strings, taking more credit for songs she didn't even write, etc.

You get the picture.
