i did back it up with facts..so did everbody esle here except u. mj can get in any club, anywhere for free. ur list is hit or miss. i am not a fanatic..just stating facts. he is A list, now. i'm looking at the past and present. u get over it. ur closing urself to reality.

Parmella, what's your definition of 'A-list' and which celebrity entertainer alive today do you think would get some kind of 'priority treatment' over someone as famous as Michael Jackson?

most of the time i wish he wasn't so bastardly famous so the majority would actually discuss, realise, respect and appreciate his work for a change.

Yes it is shit flying and it is always the fanatical Michael Jackson fans that fly it.... Their version of a A-List would be Michael Jackson from 1. to 10.

Paul McCartney, Madonna, Bono, Stevie Wonder, Quincey Jones, Tina Turner, Barbra Streisand to name a few. None of these stars have the controversie that follows them like Michael does. Madonna may come close, but she still gets more respect from the media than Michael Jackson does. All of these stars are very much active with in the music community whether it's behind the scene or with current recording projects.. I don't see Michael doing any of the above.

All of the above that I mentioned are ICONS.
 
you haven't actually responded to any part of my post except the "shit flying" bit, lol. i didn't say a word about "icons". the bloke could have gone into retirement two decades ago and i'd still win this debate point, lol.

i think a number of fans come in here with one of two agendas that drive their arguments, overruling all logic - 1: trying too hard to be as "objective" a fan as possible and not "sound like" a "fanatic" (and being so proud in announcing this too), which i've seen go way over the top and beyond reason many a time. and on the very extreme end (but equal ridiculousness) you have group 2: being proud in their fanaticism and don't really care how wack their ish sound as long as they play their 'praise Mike no matter what' agenda which drives 99% of their posts.

it's a pretty sad sight to see every now and again, and imo embarasses the community no matter which game you play.

I told you who I thought was an A-List above and I told you why.

No you did not mention Icon, but I did because some fans believe that Michael Jackson is the only Iconic star alive.

I don't care what other fans agenda of Michael Jackson is. But there are those who come on here and they just take it to personal when people give a critical veiw of Michael. To them it's the end of the world. You damned to hell.

nobody thinks timberlake has replaced MJ..not even rolling stone. they go back on their claims in the midst of their articles. you don't read up enough. you would say coldplay? there are people around the world who don't know who coldplay is. but those people know MJ. and the controversy does follow Bono. they think he is too politically overcharged.

we shouldn't go on with someone who doesn't practice what she preaches about respect, and moving on. we'll all just end up getting banned. lol. yes we all know what happens in an MJ appearance, but a refusal to acknowledge it and all else about his A listing, says all we need to know, loudly and clearly. we don't have to have our lives controlled by a refusal to acknowledge it coming from her. we're used to this from some(NOT ALL) media outlets.

I can careless whether you disagree or not. I don't think Michael Jackson is an A-LIST CELEBRITY. How clearer can I be. If you think he is, then so be it. I don't. And I am not going anywhere. If you don't like it, then you move on.

Justin Timberlake and Beyonce are A- LISTERS in the world of music right now. Michael isn't doing any music as we speak. There is talk that he is.

I can be objective when it comes to other musicians and their contribution to music. Michael Jackson isn't the only one. He wasn't the first and he won't be the last.

Beyonce might have said some things about the Jacksons, but you can't deny what she is doing...
