Michael Jackson gig promoter to confirm O2 Arena tribute gig 'this week'

What I have learnt from all this is the total disregard of AEG/02 towards fans.

Why dont they just go on the proper pukka fan sites and ask the fans what THEY want, AND for once provide priority to the fans.

I can just imagine them all sitting in the board room rubbing their hands together and relishing the amount of money they are about to make.

Everything is soooooo down to money these days, in the old days there was an element of having consideration but now they bulldoze their way to the dollar sign not providing a care for who they are dealing with.

I have no time for AEG. If only Michael had never met Randy Phillips..........
you know im starting to think michael would be here if it wasn't for TII. And to think they pursued mike more than once before he signed on. I don't doubt mikes ability but im really thinking he would be here if not for TII. I always felt they handled everything wrong from day one. TII was so rushed and badly organized but where michael was concerned it was TOO RUSHED! And lord I really hope they didnt underhandedly book more shows then michael signed on for without michael's consent first. ugh!

april AEG giving to charity..now that's a good laugh. They wouldn't even sell the souvenir tickets for a reduced price.

I hope they are ready for a whole new barrage of critiscision when they do sell the programmes & give naff all to charity! The way they treat people will come back to haunt them one day.Probably when they go bankrupt!

Well if Randy is gonna do ANYTHING positive, he SHOULD make those memorial books available, that's the first thing. It's not fair that people are making hundreds of dollars profit over them. It would help the fans out who really want a copy and they would still make their money, so it works both ways.

Second, that August 29th show BETTER be broadcast all over the place cause I sure ain't re-booking my trip to London for it.

In any other world Randy Phillips would have been classed as a stalker.......

Randy Philips i hope where your going its very HOT!

I wrote to AEG regards the tickets and i have not even had acknowledgement!

They make me want to PUKE! i would not set foot in any tribute concert this year so if all fans continue to say same im sure eventually they will get the message!

I hurts me deeply that they have not one bit of compassion for us fans and to think that Randy said Michael was his friend, well Randy you showed me exactly how much you thought of him when i didnt geta reply from you, then the o2 !! and now this!!

YOU CAN GOTO HELL!!

Terry

all my respect to the Jackson brothers and sisters...but there is no way I could cope with a J5 tribute concert on 29AUG..
there is no way..

fux that give us the damn rehearsals on dvd and move it along. no1 wants to deal with they tired asses no more

I have to sort out my tickets...and having to go to a webpage titled michaeljacksonlive.com...that is just cruel!
at least change the name of the site AEG!

I would love to see EVERYBODY back together. Darryl P., Dorian Holley, Siedah, Sheryl Crow...etc. I love the idea of having all the former back-up singers back, all the former band members back, all the dancers (somehow) back, and just putting on a huge production. But I know that won't happen.

If this is the best they can do, we just have to live with it. Sure it won't compare to MJ actually being there., because if somebody could just go out there and do what he did then MJ wouldn't be as big of a deal. MJ is a big deal because he is the ONLY one who can sing his songs, and do his dances. But when something is a tribute, it's fine. And I look forward to August 29th... whatever happens. Bring in Ne-Yo, Timberlake, Usher, Ginuwine, Chris Brown, etc. and bring the house down.

Well if the Jacksons are going to sue AEG for lack of care and duty then I cant see them being party to an AEG/02 29th Aug concert.

they should do what they did with freddie mercury- leave it until sometime next year or even much later in this year for people to come to terms first, then put on a show thats not only trying to recreate what should have been, because thats a terrible idea to begin with, but also to really put in a good show and tribute for michael, one that is planned perfectly with the suitable amount of time needed to pull something like this off.

They should give it more time, i'd say next year too. More time to work on the show would equal a better show. It will be too rushed if they do it next month.

suppose its a complex one. AEG could do some tribute shows but without the backing or participation of the Jacksons I dont think many people would be interested.

There again the Jacksons could take control of it all and do it themselves, say at Wembley - stick two fingers up at AEG

with everything coming out I cant see the Jacksons wanting anything to do with Randy but then again you never know he may hire more docs and get them to drug the whole family....

Michael would never do anything in a rush. Honor that in him and wait. Plan it in detail so that everything is PEFECT!! They owe that to Him!

Yeah i think they should do something like The Freddie Mercury Tribute which was awesome, it was very moving and top class worthy of Freddie. Michael deserves that kind of tribute with great artists involved like Slash, Dave Navarro,Sheryl Crow, Lenny Kravitz.. I would love to see that, something big just like Michael!!!

Exactly, I totally agree with everything you said.

Jermiane confirmed in an interview in the Sun newspaper today that he and his brothers and Janet will perform at a memorial show on the 29th and 30th August.

wasnt it Michael that insisted on having the doctor, once again its being twisted to be AEG's fault that Michael was asking for drugs, huh?

god damn!

Did Jermaine say that though, or have the Sun misquoted as usual?
You can't trust that 'newspaper'.

He is pictured with the reporter so I believe it is true (although the paper is one I would never normally buy). They are doing a serial of Jermaine's interview.

Yesterday he talked about how he found out about Michael's death and what he did when he saw Michael's body at the hospital. He also discussed his issues with Michael's Doctor i.e. CPR on a bed not the floor and how he is not making any decisions until he receives the toxicology report.

Today it is about how he wants Michael buried at Neverland and some of the family want him at Forest Lawns as Michael had told his family that he never wanted to return to Neverland. According to Jermaine, Katherine and Joe will make the final burial decision. He also talks about the shows on the 29th and 30th August.

Geez he's actually got a series of interviews with the sun? That just blows me away.

I cant stand the thought of a Jackson 5 comeback now - will make them just as bad as all the $$$$$$ grabbers!!!!!!
Eugh makes me sick does he not know what that tabloid wrote about his brother.
Why have they all seemed to have lost there loyalties?

Lenny Kravitz said he recorded a song with Michael, but it was never released...

Is this sun thing true? The photo might not be recent, it could have come from when Jermaine came out of the Big Brother house...

I went into HMV today and could not believe the Michael merchandise on sale - CD's, a calendar, posters, books - Normally you would be lucky to get a few CD's :(
