I'm sorry, I have to say this to keep my sanity

This is a good post, J5.
I'm sorry but I'd like to add to what J5 said. We are all human beings and we make mistakes. PLEASE when someone posts a thread in the wrong forum, please don't get upset or fly off the handle. We all make mistakes, and the grieving process can keep us from thinking clearly. Thank you.

Amen, Michelle!!

I understand your frustration, but its also frustrating that people who feel Jackson was only human and may have had issues with drugs are not allowed to voice their opinion without threads being locked, yet there's an entire forum dedicated to fans who can come up with just about any theory they desire. I think it makes the boards look bad, really.

And civil discussion is always interrupted with "Stop arguing!" when nobody is really arguing, just having civil debates.

Great thread! I admit to being somewhat addicted to the speculation sometimes. Both because it makes me avoid thinking about the fact that Michael is realy gone, and because there are so many strange stories and rumors, and I feel a need to at least see if I can find some sense in it all. I know its kind of strage. But I hope I never let my speculation go as far as to intimidate or make other people uncomfortable. We all deal with this differently, and we do not know what is true or not. I think that is the thing we all need to keep in mind; we do not know what happened, and why.
Whenever the thought of all this makes me sad, I play some of the songs he made, that always lifted my spirit. And I go back to reading what he have said. That is comforting, and it helps me remember him as he was- what he was all about.

I agree with you.

I agree too, but I also will say that I enjoy reading everyone's perspective and opinions. I don't always agree with them, but when I disagree, I never try to be disrespectful or mean or anything. I have no problem with a healthy debate, as long as it's respectful on all sides.

To me, the whole point of any community is the ability to share opinions, no matter how alike...or different...they may be. I learn a lot sometimes by reading other people's points of view here. And it also helps me to understand and appreciate even more the depth of everyone's love for Michael. After all, we wouldn't be here if we didn't love Michael, right?

There's nothing wrong with disagreeing with someone, as long as it's done in a respectful way. It'd be great if we could all do that, and try to remember why we're here in the first place. There are so many wonderful people here, and we could learn a lot from each other! :)

Agreed 110%.

The issue is when the debates ARE respectful: no name calling, no animosity... but its almost as if the mods fear that later on it could turn into such a thing, so threads are locked, posts deleted, or warning are dished out before its ever gotten to that level. And I understand why the mods need to do that, especially on a forum like this, but it would be nice if opposing views were represented a little more. We've got threads with "Dr. Murder Murray" all over them and a warning in the Investigation thread basically saying "Stay out" if you don't like the theories (which I agree with), but a thread discussing drug addiction is locked when nobody was being rude and all discussion was civil. Why can't people do the same in those threads?

i agree,i,ve seen it to,some people speak as if they were actually there, and if people have a different opinion, you are accused of not being a fan,

What pisses me off is that someone actually posted pictures of Michael on here asking, "Which skin tone do you like better..."

What?

Blah. Yeah people need to fall back and chill.

Gosh, that is the most unrespectful thing someone could do, I hope you put them right.
That happened to me not long ago, my friend asked me "did I like Michael better when he was balck or white" well I tell you I exploded, I was furious, hurt, upset, disgusted and deeply offend. How can people be so narrow minded? I thought my friend was better than that, obviously not.

I too like to read all the threads and to see others opinions, sometimes i agree or not.
we all have our own thoughts and theories but we don't really know anything yet. but theres no harm in talking things over. i love coming on here and don't know what i would of done with out you lot these last few months.
love and respect to everyone

I hope we can all just start to feel better :better: soon.

I do too...its lonely at, well now its 7am, but I've been lurking around here a couple hours now, and though mjjc certainly brings me lots of comfort--I can tell the grieving process is still far from over. at least the date I would of seen him has passed...idk what i'd even prefer anymore. pretending to still anticipate the greatest show ever or having it passed by without ever even boarding a place, packing a bag, living the dream.

what?? yea i think i saw a version of that topic on another forum, and some people answered really bad over there, saying ''i liked him more white'', and also admitting they did not like his darker skin. and i know i got furious with that remark. michael may have a condition, but he was a black man. i found it racist. i dont care if they were trying to say what their ''preference'' was, michael was not white.

I've spent some time away from this board but I feel its now become consumed with negativity and disrespect, particularly towards the Jackson family. Time and again, fans display this misguided devotion, acting as though fans are the only ones who ever cared or looked out for Michael. Now, the family is blasted for every little thing thats reported about them. Its really out of hand now and I wont be a part of that.

Discussion boards are just that, I am all for debate and particularly enjoy them when its civilised, but rants and accusations being thrown around, sometimes without any evidence are not constructive, nor do they serve any purpose.

i have come to the conclusion that if I have an opinion.... i should keep it to myself. so i really don't share it anymore. i will post some responses but i have cut down a lot.

there is very little respect shown to each other. especially if you disagree with someone. its like people don't know how to disagree respectfully.

and sometimes i think people forget which fan forum this is.... they forget it is MJJC. not oprah, not chris brown (example), not anyone else. its crazy.

Aww, I hope I haven't in any way contributed to this negativity and disprespect that you see. I apologize if I have offended anyone and shown disresprect and negativity to anyone here.
:(

I certainly have not seen any negativity or disrespect from you, Michelle. You're cool with me!! :)

Thank you, Earth Song. Sometimes we(in general)show faults or hurt people and we're not aware of it, so that's why I apologized.

MovingCoolCat, I really like your post. I think it says much about what is going on inside any of us and, yeah, many of us deals by speculating and looking for the truth... I have to admit, I am not like that. I am cheering myself up as much as I can, I am addicted to cheering myself up now and to appreciate Michael's work and him as an artist and a beautiful human being... but we need to rememebr it is easy to ofend or hurt other person even unintentionally, so we need to be careful

I wish people could agree to disagree more, it takes many different people to make the world go round and with that many different opinions. At the end of the day, don't tell someone they are wrong - state your opinion and move on. Agree to disagree I say :)

I totally agree with you, the Illuminati thread was locked too and I'm really annoyed. No swearing or abuse just a civil debate and sharing information which in my opinion is important when contucting any investigation. Everyone has different opinions for example: Personally, I don't think Michael was a drug addict so I didn't pay much attention to that thread but I wouldn't have it closed down just because I don't share that opinion! All information/research is relevant at this stage because as J5 said NONE OF US ACTUALLY KNOWS what happened...... YET! Locking these threads is stopping people from discussing and sharing information which is surely the whole point of a forum??

Amen!

I have to come in here and be honest though, I have been one of them fans. By me saying I thought he was addicted that is my opinion and no one has to agree with me.

I would put myself in that Category of being an idiot, attacking people and not knowing when to shut up lol.

Sorry in advance to anyone I might have offended,

Everyone has their opinions and I'm starting learn that.

Good thread!! :D

Look, you know what?

PEOPLE SHOULD JUST CHILL on this board.

And I mean that with the UTMOST love and respect possible.

I know people are grieving, I am too. I know people wanna vent and what not.

But I'm TIRED of reading these threads and people are forcing their opinions on others. I don't care if your 100% convinced that MJ was an addicted and died that way...and I don't care if you 100% convinced MJ was murdered as a part of a conspiracy. NO. YOU DON'T KNOW. NO BODY KNOWS. And there is no one here that has the right to shun and criticize ANY fan who thinks differently than you do. PERIOD. It gets on my dang nerves--people who think that MJ wasn't a druggie are automatically called BLIND FANS, or people who CAN'T ACCEPT TRUTH. WE DON'T KNOW THE TRUTH! We got conflicting reports from second hand sources coming at all sides...wtf! Stop acting like you're the know all be all people! NO ONE KNOWS ANYTHING!

People who think that MJ wasn't murdered are automatically called NON FANS and people who DON'T UNDERSTAND. Come on now, you dont know either! Everyone has their theories...NO ONE is right atm. So stop acting like it.

Can't we just express our theories without knocking down people who disagree calling them incopetent? Yeesh, it's driving me insane. Its like people don't understand the phrase "we'll see" man...no knows anything for sure. Period.
:clapping: I could not agree more.
