Official MTV Video Awards Thread [Janet Jackson, Trailer, Spoliers Here]

What Madonna said was beautiful! She spoke nothing but the truth and made me cry.

I enjoyed the tribute too of course. The best part was when "Scream" came on and Janet started dancing! She is so fierce.
 
OMG, I'm shaking!!!!!

I dont know why but seeing Michael on the big screen made me shiver.....
 
I much rather would have heard her REAL voice, sorry....don't wanna come off as a hater. But come on. That voice was either autotuned or just not her voice at all.
A simple great LIVE tribute, a song of her would have been nicer.but ah well.

o my gosh that was amazing!!! What a joy to see brother and sister performing together one last time...Janet's strength is absolutely amazing. Michael is looking down and laughing and smiling. Madonna was brilliant too.
 
I started crying during Madonna's speech and it all went down from there. :cry:
I didn't stop but I still managed to sing and dance along. ha.

Oh man, I'm still wiping up the tears. :boohoo: When I saw Janet crying at the end, I had to cry with her.
That was a nice tribute. Amazing job Janet! Michael would be proud.

I wish that could have been Michael up there performing tonight. :(
 
What I don't get is why they don't introduce him as they do with Elvis when Michael Jackson is SO MUCH BIGGER! "He has sold hundreds of millions of albums"? How about "He is the biggest selling artist of all time" - which is a fact. And "He is the greatest entertainer of all time" - which is a fact!

I really don't like how they hesitate to give him the proper titles he deserves yet with Elvis they throw them at him and he in no way comes close to the global impact, fame and success that MJ has had. I'm sick of it.

I'm still trying to compose myself. As "Scream" opened and the door parted I lost it b/c I was hoping Michael would walk through :(
 
Never thought I say this but Madonna made me Cry. Was the truth all the way.:yes:

Janet...no words to describe it! That's what a MJ tribute should be. Loved the emotion in her voice. Mike's spirit was all up in that. :wub:

Now, hopefully they don't take all night to run the "This Is It' Trailer. Cause I ain't trying to watch MTV all night..lol.

Well at first i though omg not madonna..and when she started talking about her life and his being the same with every sentence being '' so was i etc''..i thought o nooo..but it turned into a speech about mj and a lovley one...i like the dancers and their power and emotion..they treated it like the first night of tii...s

did anyone see when they did the smooth criminal lean, the guy in front didn't do it properly..he was doing it like how we all try to do the lean lol..his legs were wobbling

loved janet...inspirational and powerful and intense..just like mj...that was all for him

and madonna didnt introduce janet..i was right lol

this show will have quite a bit of mj me thinks..so stay tuned....russel brand talking about everyone loving each other is what i hoped russell would say
