Lenny Kravitz wrote it - but MJ changed the melody to make it so much better & emotional - EXTREMELY soulful & sexy & emotional.

It's classic Michael - the background arrangements syncopated with the main vocal, multi-layered harmonies that slice the soul.

Didn't read the full thread, but I want to know if I'm losing my mind or not - people are saying that this track was done in 2003, but wasn't this a track left off of Invincible? I could swear hearing about MJ and Lenny Kravitz working together as far back as 1999 for a "new album" which eventually became 'Vince...the title "Another Day" came about around 2002/2003.

Am I losing it and Another Day was recorded at least in 2003, or was this one of the MANY, MANY tracks recorded for Invincible?

Damn, I really wanna hear this song!!!! But where am at right now, there are no speakers. I'll have to wait 'til I get home but I really need to hear this! I hope there are loads of new/unreleased MJ songs to come in the near future. MJ lives on through his music so i'm always excited to hear new or unreleased songs.

If you knew anything you'd know that Lenny Kravitz recorded this song as Storm which featured on his 2004 album Baptism. It was released as single and like the album version it featured Jay-Z

well done for throwing misinformation out there. Well done you.

2 words.....HOLY SHIT!

I love it, love the feeling MJ put into the chorus.....MJ was on his game. I want to hear the full version of this song...as well as "Place Without No Name"....hell I want to hear everything that's locked up in MJ's vault....no matter how good...bad...finished or not. Whatever Michael has done is far better than anything out there right now

Then Michael changed the melody, he added a new Chorus "another day" and made it 1,000 times better.

Lenny's was ok - it's good - but not global pop massive hit like MJ recreated & made it better.

How do you know it wasn't the other way round? The song could have been written for MJ during their recording sessions and Lenny decided to record it HIS WAY according to HIS sound, HE wrote it after all. There's nothing wrong with his version, its just a different take.

global pop massive hit pffft :lol: seriously, who gives a damn a out the charts these days when it's run rife with crap acts from X-Factory.

I fully agree with that, if i really didn't agree...i would have admitted it. But i actually listened to the song on youtube, the Lenny-only version...and it really didn't impress me too much, Mike just puts magic on it. :)

How could it be an outake of the Invincible sessions if Lenny Kravitz released 1/2 the song (verses only, not the chorus) in 2004?

Invincible came out in 2001.

Michael most likely talked to Lenny in re-writing the chorus, with his verses to "Storm" and it sounds incredible.


"Storm" is a song that belongs to Lenny Kravitz´s album Baptism (2004), track #11. Featuring Jay-Z.
