Will Prince Michael need to testify as a witness?

I agree. Those children KNOW things.

And to be honest, they are the ONLY 100% reliable source out there on this whole murder investigation.

I know it is difficult, but that is why I want Prince or Paris to testify. If this goes to trial, I will pray for their courage.

:agree: I am with you. Waiting and praying. :timer:

I think it would be good for the case if they're confident enough. I'm a little scared for them, though, if they testify and Conrad Murray is acquitted. They'd probably blame themselves to a certain extent. :(

I think Prince and Paris are old enough too testify (very smart, intelligent kids, just like their 'Daddy'. :)) ...They lived in that house and Murray was a daily "guest" there...So they could know something or not...Time will tell...But it'll be the judge decision...If I were one, I didn't torture them in public...but private talk...if is it possible...I don't know...

There can be several indications for doing this or not doing this. And yes a 13year old should have a serious say in this.

I hope the kids will always have the aid they need to grow up, find their ways and become happy adults one day.

They probably can not be traumatized even worse than they were last June... so I somewhat hope some wise ppl are sitting where decisions about this will be done.

considering the story comes from the national enquirer i take it with a ton of salt

I think if Prince was there and wants to give testimony he should be allowed to, it would be an important part of healing if he wanted to do something constructive to bring his father's killer to justice, I also think the jury would be influenced by hearing and seeing him.

agree. this is the only reason i want him to testify. as im sure theres others who prob saw/knew about the same things

I do not know if this is true but the national enquirer has been known to get some stories right. This might have happened and been embellished by the writer. But he was there he probably knows something that can be useful.

Murray could have told kai to call security guards herself , he called prince for a reason .

A Jackson family friend added: “Prince is the only person, aside from the doctor, who saw what really happened – and he says he thinks that the doctor did something wrong, that he killed his dad!

Prince says he saw blood on his father’s clothes, and there were times the doctor would not let him and the other kids in the bedroom to see their dad.”

I hope this article is true.

hmmm..what "times" is he talking about? that night, or other times besides that night.....

I thought NO ONE was allowed upstairs, not even Michael's kids, according to kai chase....

I'd REALLY like to know what those children have to say.

I agree I am hoping if they testify it isn't on Court TV (is that even still a station?) I think they would do ok though. They seem like strong, confident kids. But yes my biggest fear is that they will plea bargain down and he won't get jail time. I pray that doesn't happen

It's called TruTV now, but yes it still exists.

I hope this article is true.

What??? What if the kids wanted to see their daddy at night or in the morning before he came downstairs? Were their bedrooms downstairs?

I am true he knows a lot, but if he has to go in front of judge and jury and have to relive that day, I don't want him to have to do that. Seems as though they can do it in a way were he doesn't have to go through all that.

true , and if the kids tried to see why their father was so late that day and Murray asked them to leave then when exactly that happened will help the prosecution build a timeline .

They'd most likely do it through a video link, that is usually how they do it when it comes to minor witnesses. I very much doubt a judge would allow a 13 year old to be on the witness stand and cross examined in an adult court.

Many times in court children at that age have testified in open court. In fact most of the times they doing a video link is rarely done.

Prince is not 6/7 if the prosecutors want him to testify it's more than likely that he will have to do it in open court, and by the time this goes to trial -if even- he will be around 14/15 a young adult, not a little child.

yeah like with the arvizos. it will depend on the judge. he will rule what happens if the pros request he testify via video link etc. tbh i dont see this happening anyway.guess it depends on what he or paris know

I asked someone earlier, who is a defense lawyer. He said that ultimately it does depend on the judge. Some judges are uncomfortable having children in an open court and will rule he can testify with video. Some judges will rule that he can testify in an open court and in a case such as this the judge will most likely rule that he can testify in an open court, as there are very few witnesses that day. Even though he's a teenager there are still certain guidelines that must be followed if a witness is under 18 though and will need someone from the legal team to coach him, making sure that he understands what is implied, legal terms, and court behaviour.

Paris, Prince Michael Jackson to Testify on Behalf of Dr. Conrad Murray?!

Paris, Prince Michael Jackson to Testify on Behalf of Dr. Conrad Murray?!

Michael Jackson, Paris Jackson, Prince Michael Jackson
The embattled Dr. Conrad Murray reportedly plans to call some star witnesses in his involuntary manslaughter trial stemming from Michael Jackson's death:
The late King of Pop's children.
Murray believes their testimony could help get him off the hook for giving Michael Jackson a lethal overdose of Propofol that authorities believe killed him.
Could Paris and Prince actually get Dr. Conrad Murray off the hook?
Paris and Prince Michael Jackson may be called as defense witnesses and will be asked about specific statements supposedly made soon after his death.
Dr. Conrad Murray believes Prince and Paris Jackson will admit their father had long-standing drug addictions, a key component of his defense strategy.
A source said: "After saying goodbye to her dad at the hospital, Paris said, 'My daddy is so cold again. He was always cold. He would sit by the fire to get warm. We were always afraid he would fall in as we was so close to the flames."
"He couldn't get warm. Now there he is ... so cold."
The tearful comments were made in front of a group of people, and another source says that "Prince and Paris knew their dad relied on Dr. Murray to survive and knew their father adored him ... it would work well in the eyes of a jury."
Murray, a cardiologist who was with Jackson when he died June 25, 2009, at his rented Los Angeles mansion, is accused of acting "unlawfully and without malice" in bringing about MJ's death, according to a complaint filed by prosecutors.
He has pleaded not guilty and is due to stand trial next year.
In addition to broadly painting Jackson as an addict who was beyond help, Murray may also argue that others, such as Dr. Arnold Klein, were medicating him unlawfully, and that the music icon himself injected himself with the final dose.

Re: Paris, Prince Michael Jackson to Testify on Behalf of Dr. Conrad Murray?!

^^^I hope they don't call the children to the witness stand in defense for Murrary but Prince can definiately be called in the wrongfull death suit Ms. Katherine made which includes a separate, "Prince Michael Joesph JacksonJr v Conrad Murrary. He can be called in the criminal case as well as the civil case. for negative infliction of emotional distress against AEG and DOES 1-100
"During the Cause of Action is brought by Prince Michael Joesoph Jackson Jr..
Prince witnessed his father suffering and accordingly has suffered great truama and severe emotional disstress Due to Independant negligence of AEG, as well as due to the negligence of Murrary, plantiff Prince Michael Joesoph Jackson, Jr. was put in a position as bystander to those tragic events."

"Per California, Dillion v. Legg, 68 Cal. 2d 728 (1968), and it's property, Plantiff Prince Michael Joesph Jackson, Jr.. is entitled to recover for his severe emotional distress for closely witnessing his father injured and dying."
