Vancouver 2010

LOL did someone else thought as me that Brian Adams looked a bit shy almost scared when singing with a hot temper and sexy Nelly Furtado? *giggle* Geeez he performed completely in her 'shadow' somewhat to me!

But I loved the opening show... all that history I got the first time... and it was all so nice and interesting... not half a second of boredom to me. WOW! Thanks Canadians really. One of the most beautiful opening shows I've ever seen for sure!

Loved KD Lang... wow didn't hear her for a while... great live performance... impressive!

ooooh...no, i thought that Nelly was more in Bryan's shadow...he's so much more talented than her...I love his voice! And, he's sorta a legend in some ways...

What a tragic start to the games.. may that Georgian athlete rest in peace

I thought that was very nice too!

I don't know why it was so emotional for me this time but I had to hold my tears sometimes.. The ceremony was very beautiful, well done Canada! I wish someday I could experience that athmosphere live and not only via tv :)

I thought it was great! It's always hard to top the last ceremonies every time

Yes me too. That was a beautiful performance

Less than an hour for the first ski jumping medal event! Yayy now it has officially begun :D

That's awesome...I wish I would have been there...I bet you could feel the L.O.V.E...It brings everyone together...

Its one of the experience i will forever cherish. Being with soo many diff people, foreigners and seeing the L.O.V.E i was teary the whole time, but because i was also soaked in rain no one could tell. hehehe..
I do wish i had someone from mjjc to share the experience. Totally overwhelming experience.

Take a bow all canadians, our neighbors to the north.!!! Spectacular, imaginative opening ceremonies.!!! Love, Love the snow boarder racing down the mountains and entering the stadium during countdown of past olympics.

My apologies for not recalling his name, but the gentleman responsible for organising the games gave what has to be the best speech at any opening ceremonies.

Thank you soo very much.

YES! that part was amazing![/QUOTE

The huge role the aboriginal groups played in the ceremony is beyond impressive and speak volumes about canadians. You should be celebrated the world over.

Yea, i went there and i had no clue whatso ever how the ceremony would be like. Because it was really kept top secret. LOL. But how they incorporated Aboriginals i was beyond speechless. The whole welcoming ceremony was mind blowing and i am still a bit shaken. And thanks for recognising that.

Gaaaahhh I'm happy for Simon Amman for winning the gold medal in ski jumping but Gosh I hope Janne Ahonen finally gets the individual olympic medal when they go to big hill! He would really really deserve it!!!
No more 4th places for him pleeeease.

Yeah!

Małysz have silver medal! Yeah. Congratulations!
I am happy that Simon Amman won! Congratulations!

Awwwww I would have liked to see Malysz win this. He's such a nice guy.
Yep Simon Aman surely also... but he has already several golden olympic medals. lol

What I love best about the ceremony is that the athletes from China, Japan and few other countries got their own national flags and the Canadian flags too, they're really sweet because I they love Canada. Also reports says that Wayne Gretzky isn't interested the cauldron thing, but it turns out to be a lie, I was happy Gretzky did it because he was Canada's greatest athlete, winning a Stanley Cup, NHL's MVP, captain of Team Canada in the World Cup (formly known as Canada Cup), Olympics, winning a gold medal as the executive director of Team Canada in Salt Lake City 2002.

I was disappointed that 4 Canadians didn't qualify for Men's Ski Jump. GO CANADA!!!

Sven Kramer of the Netherlands won the gold in speed skating 5000m! New Olympic record!

First GOLD EVER on Canadian soil!!!! Congrats to Alexandre Bilodeau, men's moguls!!!!

:punk: :punk: :punk:

Yay Canada!!! We finally won the first winter olympic gold in our soil!!!

hopefully we win more....Still have Cindy Klassen in the 5000m in speed skating...she's amazing! and hockey, of course!

Charlotte Kalla took Swedens first gold, in cross-country skiing. We don´t use to take many medals and I´m happy for this.

Wow yeah great race and congratulations.

I'm a bit sad for Bode (body) Miller. He's a really cool funny guy! I want him to win at least one golden medal! He truely deserves it. Honestly he's one of the best if not the best skiier all the last years! *stamping with foot on the floor*

I saw that, congrats!
I'm just sad Finns haven't got any medals at all yet, they need to step up really. Keeping my thumbs up!

It was 42 years ago since a swedish woman won an olympic goldmedal in cross-country skiing before this.Sometimes you just have to wait.
But I hope Finland will get goldmedals in this olympics too.

I'd be happy with silver and bronze, too. Mika Poutala was soooo close to a medal in speed skating, he lost the bronze with only 0,03 secs! And he was leading after the first round. It was heartbreaking to see him crying after the race :(
This is that side of sports I don't like so much :D

I heard Klassen got a back luck, very horrible news to hear, I hope Team Canada Women & Men 's hockey will both win the gold.

Ya, she did have some bad luck....Yes, that would be amazing if we won gold for both men and women again...

I watched the hockey game between Canada and Norway, they're kicking ass during the game. Jarome Iginla (Calgary Flames) scores a hatrick for Canada defeating Norway 8-0. I can't wait for tomorrows game against Switzerland. No one can stop Team Canada now.

we´ll see.

You sound like the Team Canada will face Team Sweden in Men's Hockey, while Team Sweden got stumped by Team Canada 13-1 in Women's Hockey. Sorry to say, they're just a very strong team Canada.

I just watched the snowboarding men's half pipe.. sooo cool! The guy who won gold, Shaun from the US, was amazing, he actually invented new tricks - so not only is he great at his sport, he's a pioneer :D. He'd already won gold so when he did his last run he just went for it and pulled out a new trick. The Japanese guy with the long hair and green wooly hat had a cool style and did some great tricks but he fell :/ I don't know where he finished but he didn't get a medal..

They seem to enjoy playing MJ in the Olympics :) Yesterday's hockey match they played at least Beat it and Shake your body.
