Re: Update: Air date Nov. 8 th / Katherine Jackson May Be 'Oprah' Bound

Those babies are so incredibly unphased by their father's status. They are so humble and unpretentious.

Through all this evil madness clearly going on, I put my hope in these 3 children. Their answers seem to indicate they're somehow still well guarded. By Michael. They exude some kind of a mind-blowing peace and serenity. When their father was here in person, he always protected them. Firmly. He is still doing that. Like he never left. His love could not end with his departure. And to me it's clear by how the children handle themselves, that shows some strong soul is watching over them and dwelling in their chest. Michael was a strong deep soul and it shows.

Re: Update: Air date Nov. 8 th / Katherine Jackson May Be 'Oprah' Bound

Is there no decency left in the world???

I have to continue to believe that there is SOME decency left in the world. Not much, but some?

Michael's children are intelligent, and I do hope that when they are older they can sort all this out for themselves.

This played right into the hands of Murray's defense, as we feared it would.

Michael was NOT "an addict," of anything. It is for us to continue to carry the truth.

Re: Update: Air date Nov. 8 th / Katherine Jackson May Be 'Oprah' Bound

Hey does anyone know if the interviews are on Youtube?

Re: Update: Air date Nov. 8 th / Katherine Jackson May Be 'Oprah' Bound

they go on about addictions yet dont know if murray murdered him. stupid ppl

my heart breaks over the kids talking about him.

Why don't you calm down, his kids lost their father but his mother also lost her son whom she gave birth to and raised. Do you have kids? have you had to bury your child, twice?(Brandon & Michael)

Katherine has been clear since the day she attened the first court date that she wants justice for her son, we all know murray killed him intentionally or not but some people fans and family feel it's murder while other aren't convinced it is murder.

Re: Update: Air date Nov. 8 th / Katherine Jackson May Be 'Oprah' Bound

I just got here.

Please, someone tell me what happened or direct me to where I can read a summary,

PLEASE.

I do not have time to read 100 pages.

again from lipstick alley

Okay I know this wasn't meant to be funny but I lol'd when Blanket wiped his nose and then shook Oprah's hand. What a cute little boy he is. Blanket was the most shy. Oprah spoke with some other grand children. Some of Randy, Jermaine, and Rebbie's daughter. All of who were very poised and articulate. As expected they all have dreams of pursuing careers in the entertainment industry. Paris wants to be an actress, Prince wants to produce movies lol

Katherine said Paris room is full of pictures of Michael all over her wall. She doesn't understand how Paris can handle that. Paris is the strong one of the kids. Aww it was just so touching her talking about the kids. I think Paris got choked up talking about her dad. I know Oprah made her proud when she mentioned the speech Paris did at Mike's funeral. She told her it was at the moment the world got to see a different side of Michael. It humanized him.

Re: Update: Air date Nov. 8 th / Katherine Jackson May Be 'Oprah' Bound

did she really compare his nose to a toothpick??? oh my god, Michael, I am so sorry...

Re: Update: Air date Nov. 8 th / Katherine Jackson May Be 'Oprah' Bound

The "Jackson Family"
is even lover than I ever imagined.

Re: Update: Air date Nov. 8 th / Katherine Jackson May Be 'Oprah' Bound

I "kinda" understand why Mrs. K won't say Michael was murdered because I think she waiting for the facts come out in court hopefully SOON... That what i got out of it??? #justsayin Now her coming out and talking about the plastic surgeries was SOOO not necessary BUT this one I understand why because me and others on this forum questions why Mike have Alot of work done. BUT still uncalled for to even mention about it

I agree. They said this interview was about setting things straight and protecting Michael's legacy. Which legacy are they trying to protect? All I see is self interest in their actions. Seems like the kids part of the interview was the only real good in it. I hope they are able to hold on to those memories of their father.

Re: Update: Air date Nov. 8 th / Katherine Jackson May Be 'Oprah' Bound

Tmz has a clip of katherine saying Murray told her Michael had passed.

http://www.tmz.com/2010/11/08/micha...ne-jackson-oprah-winfrey-video-conrad-murray/

It's sad but i thought Katherine said she hadn't spoke to murray. Wasn't the story that he fled the hospital before speaking to any family member? or maybe it was he didn't explain anything to them.

Could someone make a short transcript for non-english, please?

Michael Jackson's Kids, Parents Join Oprah: Talk Plastic Surgery, Beatings and…French Toast?

It was a morning of firsts on the Oprah Winfrey Show.

For the first time, Katherine Jackson admitted that her son was addicted to plastic surgery. For the first time, after much umbrage taken with the term, Joe Jackson admitted that he beat his children. And for the first time, thanks to daughter Paris, the world learned about Michael Jackson's hidden talent.

Namely, making French toast.

The wide-ranging interview took place at the Jackson's Encino compound, and while it started out with Katherine, the duo was soon joined by Joe, then Paris, Prince Michael and the exceeding shy (yet pretty adorable) Blanket, along with the other Jackson kids that live at the house.

But mostly, it was about Michael, and while the topic of his controversial single and upcoming Sony album was not even remotely touched upon (the sitdown took place several weeks ago), Katherine did explain why she chose to release a book about her son, Never Can Say Goodbye.

"I wanted to do it for his fans and for the people that misunderstood him…I think of my son all through the day, all the time. I don't like to talk about him because I…," she said, tearing up. "It comes to my mind everyday, yes it does."

Despite the hardship clearly evident in discussing her son's life, Katherine didn't shy away from the talking points about her son, and proceeded to handle every question thrown at her.

First up: plastic surgery. Katherine said that Michael hated his appearance beginning in adolescence and one day announced he would be getting a nose job.

"He didn't want to start looking 'like a spotted cow,' he said," Katherine explained of his multiple skin surgeries to treat his vitiligo. "I don't know what in the world he did to change that, but he did."

As for Michael's claim on Oprah several years ago that he only ever underwent two surgeries in his life, both on his nose, Katherine said, "He had more than two, he was just embarrassed."

"I hear that people get addicted to plastic surgery, and I think that's what happened to him. I said, that's enough."

Though neither he nor his plastic surgeon, with whom Katherine also had a word, listened.

Next up for talking points, Michael's marriage to Lisa Marie Presley.

"It was a surprise for me, he called me after he had married her," Katherine said, saying that Michael put Lisa Marie on the phone to speak with her, though she didn't believe at first that she was actually talking to Presley.

"She had a heavy voice and I didn't know that," she said, adding in a whisper (and yielding some laughs from Winfrey), "She sounded like a black girl."

The majority of the interview, however, was spent discussing Michael's death on June 25, and the life choices that led to that tragic day.

"The worst day of my life," a teary Katherine began. "My heart dropped. And so they called me and said come to the hospital. Michael's in the hospital."

She said that she had an immediate feeling that he might be dead, but that nobody would tell her anything for some time.

"I kind of felt it, but I was wishing that it wouldn't be…They made the doctor tell me. The doctor had to tell us…Dr. Murray."

Yes, that would be Dr. Conrad Murray.

"He came out, and he was talking and it took him so long." Finally, Katherine asked, "Did he make it?"

"He said, 'No, he's gone.' That's all I remember," she said, tearing up. "I'm sorry."

As for Murray, who is facing an involuntary manslaughter charge for Jackson, Katherine said she's thought "a thousand times" what she would say to him.

"Why didn't he take care of my child? Why did he give that [propofol] to him? It's very dangerous, why did he do it?

"I can't accuse him of murder, I don't know if it was accidentally done or it was intentionally done. I don't want to get into that, but I have my thoughts…I don't think I'll ever, ever be healed….It hurts."

Also hurtful was Michael's drug addiction, which he continually denied, even as the family attempted to hold an intervention.

"I spoke to him about [drugs] once, when I had heard it and he denied it. I was telling him I didn't want to one day hear that he had overdosed because it would break my heart…He kept saying, 'My own mother don't believe me.'

"Part of me wanted to believe him, but I didn't believe him."

Katherine said that the hardships in Michael's life led to his addiction, specifically naming his trial for child-molestation as a turning point.

"All his life he had to go through stuff like this and it was trying on him," she said, adding that she never once questioned his innocence. "'I'd rather slit my own wrists than hurt a child,' he'd always say that."

The duo was then joined by Joe Jackson, and both he and Katherine insisted, despite nearly universal beliefs to the contrary, that they were not divorced.

Oprah wasted no time in pressing him on his relationship with Michael, particularly his child's claims that he was severely beaten as a boy, something which Joe has always denied.

And today was no different, though this time around, Katherine had had just about enough.

"I don't think he was afraid of me," Joe began. "I never beat him. That never happened."

"You might as well admit it, that's the way black people raised their children," Katherine interjected. "He used a strap."

That settles that, then.

"I don't [regret the beatings]," Joe said. "It kept them out of jail and kept them right."

Oprah then gathered all the children together to chat about their father and their current life.

Paris and Prince Michael are now enrolled in regular school (with eyes toward being an actress and music and movie producer, respectively), though Blanket, the most shy of the bunch, is still being home schooled. However, that might change next year, when he will be ready to enter the fourth grade.

The children were asked about their childhoods, in particular going out in public with masks and veils on their heads—something Katherine noted earlier was not Michael's idea, but actually the brainchild of the kids' biological mother Debbie Rowe.

None of them seemed to have any problem with the unusual disguises.

"When we did go out without our dad, other people wouldn't recognize us," Paris explained. "He tried to raise us without [us] knowing who he was, but that didn't go so well."

"I kinda felt like no one understands what a good father he was," she said. "I'd say he was the best cook ever. He was just a normal dad, except he was the best dad.

"He made the best French toast in the world." Who knew?

"A day doesn't pass," Katherine said. "Sometimes I just hate myself for thinking about it. It's something I just can't help. I think about it with a smile sometimes. Things he used to do when he was a little boy. He always stays on my mind. His memory is with me. They can never take that away."

Re: Update: Air date Nov. 8 th / Katherine Jackson May Be 'Oprah' Bound

I saw Katherine's face in the commercial......I wanted to cry :(

I will not judge Katherine's words ever, I know she loved her son to pieces, she stood by him in his darkest hours.

I can't wait for them to put Oprah in check!

Re: Update: Air date Nov. 8 th / Katherine Jackson May Be 'Oprah' Bound

Yeah, they all knew about his "supposed" problem, but that didn't stop them from BEGGING him to go on stage with the brothers again, including Janet as the opening act (her words).

Joe, the brothers, Janet, Katherine, Rowe, and All Good Entertainment, collectively were BEGGING Michael to perform again. Yet we are supposed to believe that he had some big drug addiction.

I was holding out hope, but Katherine Jackson has disappointed me very badly today. She had an opportunity to set a bunch of things straight, but so far, she is failing, in my opinion.

Oprah must be delighted!

And the tabloids should send Mrs. Jackson massive amounts of flowers for the headlines she's giving them.

What I meant was I have not heard anyone who saw the interview say Katherine said Michael was in denial about drugs, The plastic surgery line was low and I expect better from his Mother. This is a lady who defends her other children when they are clearly in the wrong

did his own mother forgot about lupus and vitiligo?

I honestly don't know why she would answer like that. This is so disappointing. Look at the articles we are getting from this: Michael was a drug addict and addicted to plastic surgery. More and more marks on his name. The media doesn't care about interviews given by doctors and experts on his lupus and vitiligo. But when the family talks, its like they are infallible. Yeah, they are really setting the record straight now. Can it get any worse?

Re: Update: Air date Nov. 8 th / Katherine Jackson May Be 'Oprah' Bound

Re: Update: Air date Nov. 8 th / Katherine Jackson May Be 'Oprah' Bound

I'm quite disappointed by some of Katherine's comments.

Re: Update: Air date Nov. 8 th / Katherine Jackson May Be 'Oprah' Bound

I pray that no one will be able to take away from Michael's childen their own precious memories of their father.
Please pray without ceasing for the well-being of
Michael Jackson's children: Prince, Paris, and Blanket.

Re: Update: Air date Nov. 8 th / Katherine Jackson May Be 'Oprah' Bound

What Michael's beautiful children said, I just can't stop crying. God bless those amazing kids.

Re: Update: Air date Nov. 8 th / Katherine Jackson May Be 'Oprah' Bound

I am so pessimistic today that I think that by the time the kids grow up they will be totally brainwashed by the rest of the family
