The reason it's not up on US, Canada, UK, or Japan iTunes yet is because Apple is releasing the Beatles catalog today at 10am. They have not updated their catalog at midnight last night as they usually do for this reason.

There goes our iTunes number 1.

The single isn't out for a couple of weeks yet.There still is a chance.Besides, the uk top 40 is more important, it can still be number one with iTunes sales included.

I wonder though if the Beatles discography release would affect HMH on the singles chart.... I would guess most people would buy whole Beatles albums, or compilation albums? I wonder how those sales will go just as a matter of curiosity.

It's always annoyed me that iTunes has separate versions for separate countries. I often want to download things released only in Europe!! Side note-- it's interesting to see what is on the charts in other countries; some stuff seems ubiquitous and some is country specific.

It's actually very unusual for it to be released only in Ireland and not the UK. Usually the two go hand-in-hand with regard to music releases.

Sorry I don't know, I've just had a quick look at other threads and it sounds like noone has an exact date yet.

We listened to it today at work (different station than yesterday) and my co-workers loved it as well!

Can't wait to see the video, too! When was the release date for it?

A danish tabloid also said it was a good song and gave it 4 stars. And they are never positive about MJ. But they wrote it was a sure hit.

And HMH is #1 in Denmark so they were right. :lol:

The song SADLY doesn't look to be available on iTunes in the US yet BUT it is available in the Michael Jackson Official Store at MichaelJackson.com, I just bought it 2 hrs ago!!

I have got this beautiful track on repeat .... and it just gets better and better!!!

As Michael said ... "Bring back the MELODY" ... and this is exactly what Hold my Hand is ... beautifully melodic!!!
