Much Too Soon - Discussion

It's Michael for sure.

Maybe the whole song is not from the same period, I feel like a different thing from 00min58s and after. But I don't affirm anything.

But it's always Michael during this beautiful song.

There is absolutly no need for name calling in here. Stop calling people idiots please because they do not agree with you.

Hi, at first sorry for my bad english. I found this Video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ArrJoRsaq5w&feature=player_embedded here on MJJC Board. Here we see Bruce Swedien works with Mike on Much to soon. But on the Album Credits from the Album "Michael" i cant find the Name Bruce Swedien. Is this a absolut brand new Mix without Bruce Swedien? I would to know how this Mix #9 sound like!?

According to MJTunes :

Mix 1 of Much Too Soon was recorded in May 1994 in The Hit Factory recording studio, and the mastering made in December 1994.

Did you all hear the first line of the song 'Much Too Soon'? It's by Kanye West. He says: 'First rule in this world baby, don't pay attention to anything you see in the news'. Do you think his line only appears on the leaked version of the song or also on the album version?

..I'm pretty sure that part is fan-added :D

I don't know but I don't think so - For me what Kanye said has nothing to do with the song.

EDIT : they just aired it on MJtunes, I didn't hear Kanye, so ...

There is not even a question about whether it's MJ on this song or not. It's obvious it's him. On the other hand it's not MJ on Breaking News and Keep Your Head Up. I love 'Much Too Soon', maybe the best song I have heard from Mike in a long time. I love the simpleness of the song and his beautiful voice.

Oh, for me Much Too Soon is definitely Michael. No question. Breaking News, to my ears (or ear since I'm deaf in one, heh) is not a lot of Michael and I have yet to hear Keep Your Head Up. Is there a snippet around here? Off to find it...

Ok, I am a strong believer that Breaking News, Monster and Keep Your Head Up are fake.

But if people are saying this isnt MJ then that is ridiculous. Or they are just trying to wind people up.

This is a beautiful song, because its 100% MJ.

I think it is a aprt of the song and it will be on the album. I might be wrong though.

I've heard some people say Much too soon is similar to ''she's out of my life'', but for me although similar vein, this song is in a league of it's own. Still Michael, still beautiful, but different to sooml.
Just lovin the tweeking sounds! :agree:

KYHU is Michael, some say, I find it hard to believe. And I just don't like that song at all, cuz of it...sorry for offtopic

OMG! Just heard the whole song for Much too soon(I think) But from what I've heard... His voice is sooo clear... My goodness... The song is sooo ....I dont know how to say it but it brings back some of Michael's BEST work in classical/melodic style.

i wish we could see this song's live performance....

Listening to Much too soon I was thinking: why did Michael never do an unplugged concert? It would have been so great with his angelic voice and with songs like this, Be not always, She's out of my life, or Who is it and Billie Jean with the beatbox....

I have read Prince (the singer) told him once he should do an unplugged concert and I think he was right.

I can't speak for Michael, so this is just my opinion. Michael never did an unplugged concert because Michael thought BIG. That's the way he was. He's also about theatrical and pushing the envelope.

Think about it. Michael sold out stadium before reaching the age of 15. He graduated from small theatre to huge stadium in a relatively short period of time. To have him sit on a high chair in a small theatre will be too limiting for him. I don't think that idea ever appealed to him.

Michael Jackson was not only a talented vocalist with an angelic voice, he's also an execptional dancer. He's about movement. He danced during the recording sessions in the studio. You see how he could hardly contain himself when recording vocals for We Are The World. You see how he so wanna stand up and dance during the Remember The Time performance at AMA (he sprained his ankle during the rehearsal and needed to be seated during the performance).

Michael was just so talented. His talents were trully not from this world. He's so multi-faceted. To have him do an unplugged concert in a small surroundings is very appealing to fans, but, it almost feels like trapping him from exploring his all.

I love Much Too Soon. Actually, I love all of Michael's ballad. When I listen to Much Too Soon with a headphone, I feel I have a one-on-one relationship with him. I feel like I'm his only audience. That's the magic of Michael Jackson. He makes you feel you are unique.

I know he was a dancer. I'm not saying he should have done a lot of unplugged concerts. But it would have been nice if he had done one, which could have been aired on TV world wide and then be released on CD and DVD. It would have highlighted another side of Michael, with another part of his song catalogue (more intimate songs those were normally not performed in big stadium concerts). I think he would have done VERY well in an unplugged concert and earned a new type of acknowledgment of his talent from critics. I certainly would have loved to see him in an unplugged concert for a change.

I still haven't heard this song. I can't find it and I am DYING to hear it.
