Michael Jackson feat. 50 cent - MONSTER - its the real deal says 50 -READ!

If your familair with Butterflies it was Marsha's idea for MJ to sing like that and she said in a interview it felt strange having to tell MJ what to do but he was cool.

There is a reason why MJ gets with hip and young producers because obviously he wants to stay up to date.

AMEN!!!

But if MJ were dead when Butterflies came out, Marsha would be labeled a lying, money-grubbing devil....lol

That's presumptuous, to say the least.

Sorry, I don't hear his voice on these songs. Maybe its him and maybe its not, but to me, I just can't hear his voice. I don't like listening to music and second-guessing it, or being told "there's a forensic expert who said its him". I like to kick back and enjoy. I can't do that with these songs; its great that you can, but not everyone who doesn't get that feeling from these songs is a "conspiracy theorist".

I'm glad This Is It were his final performances and not these tracks, so that we can see and hear him for the great artist he always was.

And if they are him, just exactly how silly would you feel?

Don't buy into the conspiracy hype. No sane person can listen to the a capella of Breaking News and not hear Michael Jackson.

Michael always wanted to try new things and expand. That's why I don't get when some say he wouldn't write this or wouldn't sing it this way etc. All his songs are not the same and reflect different times.

To be honest I wouldn't have been looking at the songs to see if it was really Michael or not if the idea of fake vocals was never brought up. I would not have thought of that. I don't listen to a song and wonder if it's really that person.

AMEN!!!

Two of the most unusual songs written by MJ were Morphine and Superfly Sista.

Talk about expanding one's horizons. Geez. Those two were way out of left field for Michael.

So let's not pretend we know what he was creating the past five years.

He cared about them more than he did about any of us because he actually knew them.

He cared for us all deeply as a whole though.

New music was being created for the fans, and nobody else.......so if we dont like it then I think Michael wouldnt like the fact the songs have been put out there as part of an album.

Its a good thing I dont believe its him, otherwise i'd actually feel quite bad.

And if they are him, just exactly how silly would you feel?

Don't buy into the conspiracy hype. No sane person can listen to the a capella of Breaking News and not hear Michael Jackson.

I guess we are all insane then...thanks. Thanks a lot.

We havent bought into the conspiracy hype. Many of us just dont hear MJ on the songs, and thats the sole reason we feel this way. Just accept it.

I wouldn't feel silly at all. I can't hear his voice. It's not a conscious decision to not hear the man's voice on something I've been anticipating for several years.

I'm glad you feel differently and are able to enjoy it.

IVY,there you are, I wanted to ask you this: If "A" sings/writes a song with another person, what percentage of the song "A" has to sing/write for the song to be legally attributed to A? I hope this question is clear. Thanks.

You would never say 2000 Watts and Shout were not him because he was alive and put out the album himselff.

His passing lends to conspiracy theories. But if 2000 Watts came out right now many would say it wasn't him.

if Don't Stop... came out right now, people would say it wasn't him.

It's the fact that he's passed that has people losing perspective and pretending to have lived with Michael Jackson because they listen to his CDs non-stop.

For anyone to say Breaking News and Monster sound "nothing like him" is ridiculous.

People are hearing what they want to hear. Because others said the tracks were fake. Because MJ is dead. Some, are actually not hearing him for psychological reasons. They are almost fooling themselves into believing it CAN'T be him rather than hearing that it is him.

Again, if another person is delivering the singing on Monster - SIGN HIM UP!!!

He shouldn't need to fake. He should just have his own contract.

this.

Yeahhh, because they would definately be giving the King of Pop tips...rather than taking them.

Yeah, MJ never collaborated with anyone before. It was MJ's way or the highway and he never considered the opinion of anyone else that he worked with...

What a joke.

Ok, you basically just completely ignored everything I just said...So, why did you bother quoting me?

You're stating all of this as fact....It's not.....You just wasted your time...

I really, really wish you'd just pay attention to what we are all trying to say..I understand and respect your point of view...Is it really so hard for you to do the same?

I never said BN sounded 'nothing like him'....If you read my post, you'd realize that....I never even mentioned Monster....Again, I reiterated in my post that I have never referred to these tracks as 'fake'....I'm not into the whole conspiracy theory or boycott Sony bullshit...So, don't make it as if I am....You're assuming that those who have some doubts are automatically part of this 'conspiracy'....That's not true at all...

I really do like the song monster and yes i can hear MJ on the track but very little i have to say.
James Porte basically sings 70% of the song by himself.
I doubt 50 cent ever even met with MJ and just did the rap for a possible official remix ?

sorry I really do not know the specifics of the music law but we can go with some definitions to think about this and everyone can come to their own conclusions.

- In terms of writing I don't think you need to write the song necessarily. For example if Micheal Jackson sings a song written by R.Kelly it's still be classified as a song performed by Michael Jackson.

- In case of multiple writers everyone gets equal share ( I have never seen a song classified as written by person A 90% and person B 10% - it will be as 50%-50%).

- In terms of singing: "lead vocal' is expected to sing the main portions of the songs - in other words the verses. (Note : Hold my hand is credited as a duet because both Michael and Akon sing the main portions - verses hence it becomes a duet)

- Background vocals generally sing chorus part and harmonies. However there's no rule that says you cannot use background/ supporting vocals on the other parts as well for harmonies and such. (Look to Beatles songs most of them will be Lennon/McCarthy supporting the one another with the harmonies on the verses).

In short my personal opinion (again not sure about the specifics of the music law) as long as Michael is singing on the main parts and all supporting vocals are credited it will be acceptable.

I've just admitted that i've made up my mind . But i'm open to them trying to change it. It just so happens that they havent managed to do that yet.

Really?..........

Are you like....keeping all my posts stored in a little file to try and catch me out?

What are you even talking about? I'm not saying anything different now that I was saying before.

I have said all along. My mind is made up. BUt. I AM OPEN to hearing what they have to say. I AM OPEN to them trying to change my mind. I just doubt that they will offer anything to change my mind.

I'm not that stubborn that I would just ignore it if they offered me solid proof that its MJ on these songs. Of course, if they offer such proof it will obviously influence my opinion.

I just think they will go on there and repeat the same old stuff we have heard all along.

The only reason they are going on there is to get their point across to a wider audience, which is the casual fans. They are just going to be repeating stuff we have already hard.

Not really? LOL.

What make you think I need to keep all your posts? Why not say I have a good memory, just like you have a 'sharp' ear? LOL.

As to whether you are stubborn or not, I don't really care. LOL.

Its to the point where i think Sony should cancel all future releases. Fans will always hate Sony so why get upset if they tell you to enjoy his legacy like Will i Am says.

These tracks that you want released. What proof do you have they are complete? Blue Gangsta is ten percent MJ with the rest all rapping. A Place with no name, where is the proof the song is completed. Where is your evidence of a full song?

These are DEMOS....If you want the demo released only which is maybe 2 minutes at the less a record lable can not release that to radio stations. No station plays a 1 minute DEMO. If you just want to hear MJ and the DEMo then cool but dont complain when its not released to radio. Just be happy you got a fan album

Point is no radio station will play a 2 minute DEMO. Sony can release a fan only demo album of MJ singing a verse or two but you have no right to get mad at Sony for lack of promotion. Name a label who promotes unfinished DEMO's...NONE

You either allow them to finish the tracks or get a fan album with no promotion which is how it should be.

There is a difference between "believing" and simply choosing to find a reason for a conspiracy theory based on a myopic view supported only by one's arrogance.

The Cascios stood by MJ during the worst time of his life, the trial. They were kids who were with Michael when he was allegedly a child molester and they stood up for him through thick and thin.

Now we're supposed to believe that they are a bunch of lying thieves selling fake songs to Sony, which is actually stupid enough to buy alleged fake songs and put them on an album when they are 100 other songs to choose from????

Seriously!??1?!!?!?!?!?!?

Oh, and Teddy Riley is in on it as well.

Oh, and the letter from the Estate is a fake, or the estate is simply lying to make money because they billion in gross sales the estate brought in wasn't enough????

Believing any of that requires a Doctorate Degree from Clown University.

You only make yourself look foolish by insulting others who don't agree with you. People have a reason for their doubt, you're not the only one on here who has been a fan for years. In fact, I don't think any of us became fans after June 25th, 2009. We're here because we've been fans since childhood, and us same fans feel that some songs simply don't sound like Michael, people have given in depth reasons as to why they believe what they do, and no one aside from a few people are saying what they say without reason. If it doesn't sound like who we've been listening to for so long, then one simply isn't going to believe it's him.

That doesn't make anyone a "clown", now like I've said many times before, there's absolutely no proof to support either side of this theory. So there's no reason to insult someone by calling them a clown, stupid, or saying that their view point is myopic, which you just tried to disguise, but called everyone who doesn't agree with you simple minded. The music business is not what it used to be, so Sony, the record label, are hardly making the same money they did off Dangerous and History, or even Invincible for that matter, so it's plausible they'll do what they can for money. Michael has said this himself, and I don't think he'd appreciate members of his fanbase ragging on each other and calling one another simple minded. Grow up, people are entitled to have their own opinion without being insulted.

No one here is right, not you, not me, not doubters, not believers, no one. No one knows what's really going on other than Michael, the Cascio family, Sony and the Estate. If you can't be respectful of someone else's opinion and viewpoint, then maybe you shouldn't comment on the matter at all.

NEWSFLASH: This isn't 2002 anymore and Michael isn't at war with Mottola. It's quite obvious MJ and Sony mended their relationship, considering he participated in the release of Number Ones, TUC, and Thriller 25.

This is also not accurate, Michael said during his anti-sony "crusade" that he was entitled to do 3 more greatest hits albums to fulfill his duties with Sony, then he'd be done with the label. Number Ones, The Ultimate Collection and Thriller 25 were those albums.

No proof to support either side? Really? So, the Cascios testimony. Riley. The Estate. Sony. They don't qualify as proof?

Oh yeah, that's right, they all are in on this elaborate conspiracy, correct?

Sony, which is worth billions, has enough money to shell out $250 million to put out seven MJ albums worth of material but things are sooooo bad in the music industry that they are going to put three "fake" tracks on this album to make money?????????????????

Listen to yourself.

In order for that to make sense these three "fake" tracks would have to be the successful equivalent of Billie Jean, Man in the Mirror and Black or White.

It doesn't pass the smell test. It doesn't make sense. It's ridiculous!!!!

Let's see. I have 100 Michael Jackson songs I just purchased the rights to release. But man, Monster and Breaking new are sooooooo great that if I release them they will help me make millions. But they are fake. Hmmm...what to do? Well, I'll jeopardize the entire integrity of a multi-billion dollar empire over these three fake songs and ignore 93 other real MJ songs.

Seriously??

That type of logic is why I refer to the conspiracy theorists as clowns. Not because we disagree but because their premises are insane.

Monster, Breaking News and Keep Your Head Up are not Billie Jean quality and therefore could not possibly be considered cash cows to warrant a massive conspiracy to sell them as real MJ songs if they are fake.

I admit completely that at first hearing, BN and Monster do not sound like typical MJ songs. But that's the point of them and he's done this before.

Again, the conspiracy is born from within itself with zero merit. And quite frankly, it is more disrespectful to MJ than anything going.

Which would be worse?

Sony puts out fake tracks of MJ?

Or, so-called fans convince one another the tracks are fake when they indeed are real?

For one, don't type to me as if I'm some child, two, don't type to me as if I came out and said "these songs are fake" because I haven't. Thirdly, all the Cascio's said were that Michael is on the songs, yet they haven't offered any proof, same with Sony and the Estate, but people are just supposed to believe them? Do you know what that means? That means everyone should've just believed the Avizo's and the case shouldn't have went to court and Michael should have just been thrown into a federal prison, despite any proof to prove he did anything. Life doesn't quite work that way, also Teddy has never given a definitive answer, like I said before his exact words were something along the lines of, "I was given the vocals, and I did to them what I would do to every other song". He also said to fans "follow your heart", and from the previews of the Dec. 6th Oprah interview, that's the same thing the Cascio's said.

There is no conspiracy, people just don't hear Michael in these songs, their opinions have plenty of merit when Michael's own nephews are saying "some of those songs, some of them aren't my uncle". There's plenty of merit when compared to the natural vocals of another singer, these digitally altered vocals on Monster sound almost identical. There's plenty of merit when these songs were never named by Michael himself in court depositions, there's also plenty of merit when these songs weren't apart of Michael's vault but were their own separate entity until the date of June 27th, 2009.

We aren't idiots, and you should stop treating us as so. Like I said, there is 0% of proof to support either side so far, and no matter how much you want to believe so, your opinion is NOT a fact, so no one should have to just take your word for it, and when they disagree, they shouldn't be called simple minded or insane. Respect one's opinion and viewpoint, you can argue it without coming off as rude, disrespectful and pompous. And again, if you find that that's impossible to do, then maybe you should just refrain from commenting at all.

50cent is NOT credible. hes getting a check and has made it very clear hes all about his "paper" there4 him sayin ts the real deal holds no merit and i doubt he was even near a studio that held michael jackson

Eddie Van Halen was never in studio with Michael, either.

Was B.I.G?

How about Heavy D?

Carlos Santana?

Again, conspiracy theory gone awry.

Can someone ban this person?

So much negativity. And we haven't even heard the entire song...

Let's try and stay positive. And if you have nothing positive to write - DON'T!

We need to get the good atmosphere back in here.

Damn, you're good. I can't rattle you at all.

OH yeah, well....Captain EO sucks!! So there!!

Such a useless post! You have nothing to say, so you try to make this oerson ridiculuous, but it doesn't work: People who do that show that they know they are wrong. They just don't want to admit it.
