They are absolutely right. Remember in the prelim when the coroner and experts said even though Michael self injected / self drank it will be still Murray's negligence. Because NOTHING explains why

1. Murray gave Michael propofol in the first place (without proper equipment)
2. why he left propofol at easy access (especially to a "desperate addict" as they want to portray him)
3. why he didn't properly monitor him and left the room for 2 to 45 minutes
4. why he didn't call for help sooner
5. why did he try to cover up the scene and withheld information.

I agree. But as far as number one on the above list, Murray is also claiming that Michael "demanded" to be given Propofol. But to me, that is still no excuse. In that case, Murray should have quit, packed up his things and left the house immediately. He could have earned his money elsewhere. This is all just my opinion.

LA judge delays trial of Michael Jackson doctor


LOS ANGELES – A judge is delaying the trial for the doctor charged in Michael Jackson's death to give defense attorneys time to counter new prosecution experts.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor says "the need for fundamental fairness" requires a delay. He didn't say how long.
Dr. Conrad Murray's defense attorney, Ed Chernoff, told the judge the Houston-based cardiologist had agreed to delay the case.
New dates for the trial and resumption of jury selection were not immediately set.
Chernoff on Friday said the delay was to counter newly disclosed experts who a prosecutor said would support the "cornerstone" of their case.
Murray pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter. Authorities have accused him of giving Jackson a lethal dose of the anesthetic propofol in the bedroom of the singer's rented mansion.

For the love of GOD! They've had two YEARS, almost. Is this in any sense "normal," to have multiple delays like this? "Not enough time to prepare?" Two years is not enough time? That makes NO sense. Seriously, it doesn't, unless they want the public/jury pool to FORGET about Michael? That's not likely. . . . . .

Yeah September... Jury selection to begin around September 8 - 9. Why 2011 at all? They coulda put it off to 2012 for a whole new beginning. Grrrr

here is were I am confused....Murray wanted a speedy trial..he is charged with IM....that charge is already proven..by his own admission...he left Michael....regardless of whatever else the defense tries to prove about what happend to Michael....IM is already there and proven...so HOW can the judge keep granting the defense all these motions to continue at another date...all the stuff that they are coming up with IS irrelevant in this case. Regardless of HOW the propofol got in Michael's body...the point is it DID...and Murray was the doc in charge....no other things should matter...it is what it is...and Murray knows that the Pros knows that the judge knows that...so WHAT is Murray trying to avoid? It is not like the charges are going to be raised from IM to Murder 2...Ivy maybe you can explain this to me..thanks. Murrays guilt has already been established...so why the hell the delays

So did the judge set new date or we're just assuming it will be around September and we'll get to know it on June 3rd (or later)?

I said this and I'll say it again.

My feeling is that during the preliminary hearing the defense cooked up "self drinking theory". Looking to testimony /error by Ruffalo they though that the prosecution wasn't ready for this and they could create reasonable doubt. Therefore they asked for a speedy trial - not giving prosecution enough time to counter this theory.

Luckily the prosecution was able to come up with experts and science to debunk it and now Murray's team is in a hard place and asking for delay to save themselves.

Yes it's a shame that we see another delay but I think we can also find a little positivity in this seeing that Murray's defense teams plan backfired.

It's not proven yet. Judge just found probable cause to go to trial at prelim. Jury would determine the guilt. These process and delays etc are getting ready for a fair trial.

They already had that theory before the preliminary. That was the aim of their request for the testing of quantities of the fluids, back to 23rd August last year. (Flanagan stated so in the motions related to the testing when he said that test would show "how" the propofol got into).

but it IS proven Murray said ..Yes..I gave him propofol and benzo's...even though he is fighting HOW the fatal dose got inside Michael and killed him..IM is still based on the fact that he left the propfol in the room so he says...does this NOT meet the qualifications of IM? I mean really that is the least thing they chose to charge him with is IM..they already have enough to prove that AT MURRAYS own admission. am I missing something here...Ivy..please explain. Do the IM charge have to have more evidence than Murray gave Michael prop and benzos to begin with....? This still shows..irregardless for human life...Michael died on Murray's watch...I am so confused.

still I'm going with what I said below. I think that Murray's lawyers thought that prosecution wasn't ready for drinking theory and therefore asked for a speedy trial to pull a fast one. As the prosecution got the witness and science to debunk that theory the defense is left with no choice but ask for a delay. They have no theory, they have no defense.

The defense are in no mans land-they haven't got any idea where to go with this. Every theory they have is scientifically debunked-they delay as they're desperate. In the meantime two years after MJ was killed the guy that did this is still walking free.

So, the prosecutors recently identified some experts whose testimonies are going to strengthen the case against Murray. To ensure fairness to both sides, the judge agrees to postpone the trial to September due to multiple scheduling conflicts?

you are right and wrong. :) you are right about the definition of negligence / manslaughter. where you are wrong is that judge is not the one to decide the guilt.

What happened in the prelim was that prosecution said "we believe Murray's negligence killed Michael", judge said "okay demonstrate this to me", the witnesses took the stand and then the judge said "okay you have got enough to back your claim up so you can take this to trial and let a jury to decide"

so nothing is determined until the jury decides.. (also you musn't forget that Murray didn't do a defense at prelim).

ok Ivy..thank you NOW I get it....I think I just get so upset I just have a hard time comprehending things sometimes...the blood pressure shoots up and the eyes get blury..lol......It is NOT and NEVER will be easy being a Michael Jackson fan...only MJ fans know the feeling. Thanks again Ivy...:)
