Murray Trial - September 27 - Day 1 - Discussion Thread

Judging from Michael's TII voice from when he's talking to Kenny, I have 100% confidence that it's Michael Jackson on that recording. And at this point, I doubt the audio will be tested by forensics, it will just undermine the prosecution's whole case. And I don't think they'd bring a piece of evidence in court without making sure that it ties in with the individual they are talking about.

Rabbi Schmuley says it's Michael's voice.

The two women from Justice 4 MJ say it's Michael's voice.

And someone else, who's name I forget at the moment who claims to have been close to Michael for years, says it's his voice.

So far it's just Raymone Bain who brought this issue into question.

^ I am wondering if that is indeed what it is. Possibly coming out of a propofol-induced "sleep," or with other sedatives in his system?

The "^" is for athina's post.

Interesting but my heart breaks for Anthony

Immediate family (parents, children, siblings) will always have preference for courtroom space over a cousin, uncle, aunt, niece or nephew. All of Mike's family can't fit in there and I can understand and respect that. Send those love and support vibes through the air, from the heart, towards that family.

It can be a numbers of things, but we will never know unless Murray tells us.

What the DA was trying to show, however, was that even though Michael sounded like that, Murray didn't take action to stop whatever caused that reaction. Instead, he ordered more drugs and went as business as usual. This act at the very least is amoral and shows a big indifferent to Michael's health, which was the point of allowing that recording into evidences.

It should also be noted that even as bad as Murray defense was, that did try to question the recording. They may do it as the trial goes on, but I doubt it.

I think that some people want to jump to that. But, remember the last part of Ortega's email in which he stated how much Michael appeared to want this and did not want to see this slip away; he stated that with the right help, it could be done. But, keep in mind that the email was not meant for everyone (the public) because Michael did not make his business the public's and just think what the media would have done if they got a whimper of concern from Ortega. They would not have had the same attitude of "just help him get it together and then move forward." Michael would not have needed any of that. Any kind of help would have and should have come privately. Ortega knew this.

I feel that it is Michael and just the things he is saying sounds like what Michael would say like buidling a children's hospital and wanting to give the people a good show.

Treated correctly, by a proper doctor who would have had the common sense to take him to a sleep clinic, Michael could have done those shows. Easy.

Yep, piece of cake!

Kenny answered his questions far better than Chernoff asked them, he definately won't be having a Perry Mason moment in this trial.

Gongaware seemed more relaxed toward the end, I hope Chernoff doesn't mess with him with is stupid questions.

Thanks everyone for helping keep us up to date. I missed most of the trial today but I was able to keep up thanks to you guys.

To think it's only day 1...

Hugs for all of you.

Gongaware's testimony thus far, just confirms for me, that AEG didn't want anything to do with Conrad Murray. I bet that initial request for FIVE MILLION DOLLARS was all they needed to turn a deaf ear to his proposal to be Michael's personal tour doctor.

And to top it off, as per Gongaware, they would have had to supply Murray with housing for he AND HIS FAMILY. I'm assuming that means Murray and his NEWEST baby Momma. So on top of the $150,000.00, Murray's living expenses would have also been a part of the deal. No wonder they never signed the contract.

I have a couple of questions:

First: Why was the picture of Michael taken? I know the coroner would do such, but was that from the coroners?

Second: Did the prosecution imply that Michael was an addict and taking something on his own with the tape or did they imply that Michael was that way based on what Murray had actually given him? It's hard to tell based on how the media is reporting; I know they skew things sometimes.

I didn't see the picture of Michael, but I think people said it was the picture taken on June 25th by a pap/fan.

As for the recording, they never said or imply Michael was an addict by using those tapes. What they said was Michael was under the influence of something Murray gave him and he recording it on his phone. It was to show how out of it Michael was and instead of helping him like a doctor should, he ordered more drugs. It was to show that Murray had no kind of concern the entire time he was treating Michael and was just in it for the money.

^^^ No that pic in the hospital had to be taken by the detective or the corner

Oh, it was a different picture. Sorry, but fans gave me the impression that it was picture that everyone kept claiming was fake. As I said, I didn't see the picture because I saw the trial late.

Thanks for that. I didn't get a chance to see all of it and was wondering. The press is acting as if this is proof that he was an addict and acting as if he was like that all the time. Kathy Hilton is on CNN and she is making the case that Michael was not someone in some addicted state all the time. There is always a different perspective from those actually around him and those not and having to base opinions on hearsay.

Kathy Hilton was just on piers morgan and she is very upset about what she saw today. She was trying to keep from crying. She looked how I feel right now.

I just hate that some of the evidence is put out for the general public to see. It just seems to tarnish the way many people will remember him.

I think that once this trial passes people will focus on Michael as they always have before, particularly if those who knew him keep the focus on who he really was and not what the tabloids want.

I don't want people to remember Michael like that either. Part of me understands why it was shown but the other part of me just want to protect Michael's privacy.

I'm dreading the front page of various newspapers tomorrow. I won't go near any newspaper stand that's for sure.

It was very necessary you guys I know it is hard but lets not forget this happens in trials all of the time. It is no different then the OJ trial no different then Lana Clarkson no different then Caylee Anthony.

To me this is different from the OJ trial because of the internet and TMZ. How does TMZ always have exclusive court stuff first? I heard that they pay off police and detectives to get exclusive evidence for there site. I really believe it too. They always seem to have stuff first.
