Murray Trial - 3 October - Day 5 - Discussion

It drives me NUTS that the prosecutors can't CONFRONT Murray for his various blatant lies and different versions of the story. It just doesn't seem right to me that he's not questioned about all of these things.

I wonder if the prosecution is as interested in the "not wearing a watch/no concept of time" BS as we are? But even if they were, what could they do about it if they can't directly question Murray? I wonder if they have in their possession, any picture of Murray at the hospital that day that would show him wearing a watch; but even if they found this, how would they go about presenting it?

Me too! I really hope he takes the stand so the pros can ask all those things. Maybe after trial?? i want to know really bad his side, not for believing him but i want to know what his excuses are

Murray is a liar, I really hope the jury catched the no watch mention, to Murray everything appears to be a joke, he's totally disinterested, constantly rolling those arrogant eyes of his, at the beginning. Can the jury see the looks Murray is giving during various testimonies? I hope they can cuz his arrogance is just too much.

twinklEE, I think he looks disinterested because, sadly, this trial is a joke. The maximum penalty for what he did is four years. He could get less. He could write a book and earn a shitload of money. He has his life, four years or not.

In my country, you can sue someone for a symbolic amount of money, for instance 1 dollar. It's kind of what's happening here I think.

He did have a watch, but it was broken. His cellphones were at his uncle, who happens to be an excellent impersonator of his voice, and was talking to people on his behalf. He gave only 25 mg of propofol and two doses of lorazepam. And he did have a monitor. It's just that the cat ate it.
That's all.

Do you mind? You're giving the defence ideas. :)

can someone help me out, who was it *i forgot* murray told to he saw michael stopped breathing, was that paramedics?
he told this doc he didnt witnesss it?

That was Cooper, the ER doctor. She said, several times, that Murray told her "he witnessed the arrest." And then he told another doctor, something entirely different, that he "came back and found him not breathing." Didn't mention propofol to either doctor.

He didn't have a watch? Uhm, cell phone? He obviously had THAT. (reminds me of Michael's trial, when there was testimony that "there were no clocks at Neverland." Uhm, excluding the huge outdoor clock at the entrance? Ridiculous.)

He'll never take the stand, can you imagine the confused answers he would give? But I would love to see someone confront him about his lies. I can't believe his lawyers could possibly think he is innocent...

I hope that the prosecution will come right out and ask Dr Nyugen if it's 'due diligence' on the part of a treating physician to be administering medications to a patient yet not documenting the specific time such meds were administered, and whether it's good practice to apparently note that a patient has stopped breathing but not NOTE what time this was observed.

I wish they would come right out and ask her, "how did you feel when Murray told you that he'd given 2 x 2mg IV doses of Lorazepam but had no idea what time he'd given them nor could he recall what time he'd found MJ to not be breathing?"...........or "would it be common medical practice for a doctor to administer medications to a patient and not have some way to note the actual time the medications were given?"

Personally I think she's provided excellent info thus far.

lunch break.

Okay now I'm confused. Wasn't this the doctor to whom Murray said he'd witnessed the arrest? Or is that somebody else?

I'm pretty sure it was Dr. Cooper who said he told her he witnessed Michael stop breathing and was in the room at the time.

You do have a point, but can't anything be done to him so that he cannot profit from killing Michael Jackson? Same as OJ? I really don't want him to profit from killing Michael Jackson. Do the Jackson's or the kids have to file a civil lawsuit against him?

Murray told Dr. Cooper he saw Mj go into arrest. The Dr. Nguyen now on the stand was given a diffrent story that he left the room came back and then saw mj wasn't breathing! So in short Murray told these two Doctors two diffrent stories.

OMG! His watch is SO obvious.

I SOOOO wish that the prosecution will say to Dr Nguyen, "so you indicated the Murray told you that he had no idea as to what time he gave the Lorazepam or at what time he found MJ not breathing claiming that he had no watch and no concept of time but please refer to this photo taken as MJ was being brought into the Emergency department and we see that Dr Murray is wearing a watch. Did you observe that he was wearing a watch when you were speaking with him?"

Murray can't even get his story straight. He tells Dr. Cooper one thing but Dr. Nguyen another.

You beat me to it. No clocks at Neverland, no clocks at Carolwood, and two cell phones that do everything except tell time and call 911. Twilight Zone.

If he's convicted, then by law he can't profit from his crime. Unfortunately, he can still give jailhouse interviews.

I really do not know why many here are shocked by the fact that Murray does not have a clock. The man does not know how to do CPR :wtf:, what can you expect? I'm not shocked. It's hard to believe he really is a doctor.

Murray DID "have a clock." He was wearing a watch at the hospital, and had a cell-phone.

Apparently he took no notes about times and dosages of medications given. Or, "Kenya" ate the notebook?

Son of sam law. A manslaughter conviction might have consequences re his future medical career, he might not be able to practice for x number of years. Does anyone know the situation?

Radaronline r running a story now on their site , an exclusive " Michael Jackson's fingerprints were not found on any of the propofol bottles "

Thanks so much for the updates guys. I don't think I'll be able to watch any of the trial today.

I honestly don't see how the jury could possibly think Murray is innocent. Lie after lie after lie.

He had a watch in the footage of the hospital (I didn't see it, but people say they saw it).
He claimed he didn't have a watch, probably another lie. Almost all men wear watches and a Dr. especially. Here is one as an example used in the medical profession with medical symbols used by nurses. I'm sure CM had some type of timepiece with him on that fateful day.
