Murray trial Day 23, November 3rd - discussion

Stevie Wonder at Michael Jackson's live memorial service said: "This is a moment that I wished that I didn't live to see come, but as much as I can say that and mean it, I do know that God is good ... And I do know that as much as we may feel, and do, that we need Michael with us, God must have needed him more." :(
There are so many people on this earth, I suppose God was busy in another place

Is there a video up yet of the closing by Walgren? I want to see it so badly.

Court's officials tell us that if jury arrives at a verdict late in the day, judge will NOT delay reading it to the next day.[/h]

Exclusive tidbit: Court's Public Information Office just told us there will be a 2 hour break between verdict is announced and read[/h]
what does these statements mean? im confused with the verdict thing

ok so 2 hours to get everybody back to court if it takes days?

I was so relieved to learn (from Sky's Michael McParland's Twitter) that whatever BS the defence counsel come up with, it will be David Walgren that has the last word before the jury starts deliberations.

i thought that would refer to today. if theres a verdict today they will announce it, even later in the day, after the usual court times...
i dont know -.-

Not sure i can listen to the defence. might have to rely on u guys one last time.

It was 10 calendar days. Jury deliberations began on Friday, June 3rd and we all know when the verdict was. There were two weekends in between.

It was a time taken from the pages of hell for Michael and his family, first and foremost and for all of us.

This other verdict from last year and it's timing, well that's a different story. I was just revisitin' the thread about it and realizin' whatta lil' prophetess i was about it all. A question of minutes literaly...i wonder if i should use my superpowers and predict what happens next. I guess i won't mention what the future holds now.

I think the "2 hours" quote means that the jury will announce they have reached a verdict, but wait two hours to deliver it. If that's the case then we certainly won't reach a verdict today.

normal court hours i believe

they will deliberate during court hours. so it would be between 8:45 AM to 4:10PM LA time.

Thank you :flowers:

Does anyone remember how many days they deliberated in 05? I think it was more than a week, maybe even 10 days, right?

It was seven days. I remember that day as if it was yesterday. I counted each day and found it very symbolic that it took them 7 days to come to a verdict.

Court have said if the verdict comes late in the day they will put aside the two hr rule so they dont have to wait till the nxt day to read it

It means that if the jury comes to a verdict they will announce the verdict is reached and then wait for 2 hours for the family and media to come to read it. But today is the exception. If the jurors reach to a verdict by today, they will read it instantly. (or it says if the verdict comes at the end of any day they won't wait for the next day)

Hi everyone, I got back from work early, and was able to watch a part of Walgren's closing. FANTASTIC !!! And thanks everyone for the updates, it's very much appreciated

Did anyone notice the jury seemed to laugh or smile after the IV remix ?? !!!

And I loved the Conmad slip...

I hope I'm not disappointing any one, but I'm not going to take notes during the defense closing, I just don't feel like making a whole post about this...

thank you. now i get it :D

i think the jury will prob get about 30 mins at the most and thats if the defence stick to the one hr time they said (walgren went well over his). so our hope is that the jury do a quick vote b4 the end of the day just to see what everyone is thinking and all the votes are guilty straight off.

not sure if i should watch the defence. didnt watch their opening statement. dont want my hope wiped out by their ramblings
