Re: BAD 25 - 2012 - Official Discussion Thread

Documentary? :( I want Bad Tour dvd

Some documentaries are really good. Maybe you haven't seen a good one yet? :D I'm saying cause I normally dislike them. I watched Queen's Days Of Our Lives documentary. It was amazing! Lots of footage, interesting interviews plus some of studio sessions footage. It was 2 hour long and I wasn't bored. If anything about MJ could be made at least half as good as this, now that would be something great along with Bad tour release :)

Love that interview with Steve Stevens...Would be amazing to see that unseen footage of the Dirty Diana video :wild: Such a tease! haha

Dirty Diana is one of my absolute fave MJ songs..I'd say it's my favourite song on the Bad album....the song just seduces me, every single time..

Yes indeed! It this Bad25 documentary will be at least half as good as Days Of Our Lives was, then I'm gonna be happy.

Re: BAD 25 - 2012 - Official Discussion Thread

I am very interested in seeing the documentary. I want to hear memories of that time.

Michael Jackson's spirit was very present at Westlake Recording Studios yesterday as Spike Lee interviewed me and my "Man In The Mirror" co-writer, Glen Ballard , for the upcoming BAD25 documentary. Look forward to exclusive footage next week here on my fan page!

That was a great interview with Steve Stevens (btw, I’m gonna see him tomorrow yay! Let’s see if he still got it :p) I’d love to see that footage he was talking about and the 7 minute track!

It's a mix obviously. Footages are from Wembley and Paris. Maybe (I dunno for sure) some more locations.

Re: BAD 25 - 2012 - Official Discussion Thread

I wonder if the Spike Lee documentary will be on TV or DVD? Either way, it sounds good. :)

Maybe both. Have it on TV as a special and then put the extended version with bonus stuff on Blu-Ray too.

Re: BAD 25 - 2012 - Official Discussion Thread

BAD World Tour second leg needs to be released this year.

Re: BAD 25 - 2012 - Official Discussion Thread

if you remember in 2011 Queen released the 25th anniversary of live in Wembley 1986, so I just hope Sony and the estate do near to the same thing. and release the greatest concert ever performed BAD World Tour live in Wembley July 1988.

There was no bluray for it, right?

no, there was no Blu-Ray for it but it seems like if this concert was released then hopefully michael's BAD Tour wembley concert will be released too as it is the 25th anniversary this year.

Re: BAD 25 - 2012 - Official Discussion Thread

There wasn't a blu-ray of Queen's Wembley concert, but there was a deluxe edition released, featuring two different concerts from the same tour at Wembley, plus CDs of the two concerts.

If we get something like that - MAYBE, just maybe, I will forgive SONY for not releasing it on Blu-Ray.... :)

Re: BAD 25 - 2012 - Official Discussion Thread

I want to re-live the magic that is Michael Jackson. It really is a shame that BAD is not available in better quality. The only full concert we have is Yokohoma 1987. God... I wish they do away those dreadful dripping and fading effects in Thriller and Human Nature.

There is also a DVD of the concert in Australia. I bought it on Amazon in 09 or 2010. The quality is not bad either at least much better than the one from Japan which I had to throw out due to its inferior quality.

Re: BAD 25 - 2012 - Official Discussion Thread

arklove may i ask where you found that? surely its not official?

Re: BAD 25 - 2012 - Official Discussion Thread

^^ No I'm sorry I don't remember...it's not official though, as I found it a few years ago..I just thought it looked pretty epic for a BAD DVD/Bluray cover :)

Now that is how satisfying fans is supposed to be.

THAT IS DEFINITELY KEEPING A LEGACY ALIVE.

They released the two concerts from Wembley '86, which are easily the worst Queen concerts ever. Freddie sounded bad during the Magic Tour anyway, but at Wembley he sounded the worst he ever did.

Montreal '81 and Milton Keynes '82 (Live At The Bowl) are way better. They also have a few 70s shows ready for release at any time (a couple of which are in the pipeline for this year and maybe next year), which is also great news especially since they didn't release much 70s live stuff, if any at all.

Queen's two nights at Wembley '86 might have been the most important shows they did, but they're certainly not the best, in fact they're among the worst they did imo.

They're re-releasing their live stuff his year (as part of the deal with their new label Universal) and I think they'll have some bonus stuff for Montreal '81 and Milton Keynes '82 and also I think they'll release a 70s show too, hopefully Hammersmith '79 or Earls Court '77. A live album of their very last show at Knebworth '86 might be interesting too, just for the fact that it was their last show with Freddie, though that too isn't their best (still better than Wembley though, by a lot).

Trust me, it's not all milk and honey in Queen's camp either... as of yet.
