Let's guess possible songs for the next album

It's pointless writing supposed tracklisting's, also the next album certainly won't be the last! their are many more tracks from the BAD, Invincible & DANGEROUS sessions! enough for 5-6 more albums, probably not as much as 8 like Rodney Jerkins said! although i wouldn't be surprised, if their were to be that many albums to come.. everyone has said that Michael did tend to over record a lot, so who knows? no presumptions from this guy ;)
Oh i'm pretty sure it will be the last. At least for many years.
The contract with Sony runs out and i can't imagine they will spend that much many for a new contract again. The big hype around michael was after his death.
Maybe there will come another new album if will.I.am and red one decides to release their songs at a later time.

That's what i think ;) hopefully i'm wrong and we'll get more music.

Their certainly will be more releases, we haven't even seen the tip of the ice berg in terms of unreleased material as of yet! the amount of material in the archive will be spread out over several decades! when Michael's kids are 18, i assume they will decide what happens with future releases.. personally i think they should do something big for his 70th birthday, like the Marley family are doing.. and probably something for his 100th birthday also, in 2058 we will probably have everything in the archive by then.. but who knows, it could be spread out past our life time's!

I'm still completely against the release of Hot Fun in the Summertime on a proper studio album.

I'm hoping to see If You Don't Love Me surface in an official capacity within the next few years. One of the best unissued recordings in my book.

The kids don't have any direct involvement with the Estate until they're twenty-one. Even then, they have minimal input as far as what is released and how it is handled. They don't have complete control over Michael's Estate until they're around thirty-five, give or take a few years. Until then, Branca and McClain (and whoever their successors are) have almost complete control.

the kids get full access to the money at 40. not sure what else they can do as far as decision making goes for estate besides receiving the cheques? anyone know? i don't think they will have the decision power over what gets released on an album, even though they'll get all the profit from their releases.

I think „I Was The Loser” should be released, it is enough finished to be released. And it sounds very nice though.

Whatever songs are included on the next release, it'll be very exciting having all previously unheard material, especially seeing as we'd all heard most the songs included on Xscape years before they were officially released.

Also, is it known whether or not MJ recorded a full-vocal version of People Of The World? That is one of my favourite demos, I would die happy if I heard a proper complete rendition. Such a great, beautiful song. And same goes for WMCIG, is a full-vocal MJ version known to exist for this as well?

I would say it's a safe bet that there's no full vocal version of People of the World. It was written with the intent of giving it to the Japanese group J-Friends, so I'm sure that demo was only to give the Japanese lyricist an idea of the melody/arrangement.

What More Can I Give almost certainly exists, though who knows what shape it's in. There are a few extracts in the behind the scenes video that surfaced online some time ago.

I really hope there won't be a leaked track on the next album. In my opinion no leaked track is good enough. Of course there are some good songs like If you don't love me out there. But i think there are some better songs they could release.
I also hope only one producer or maybe two will be involved.

Do you think a Petition would help to geht the will.I.am and red one songs? I know will.I.am wasn't allowed to release the song I'm Dreamin'. So i think the estate could release it if they want. Don't know if they need his agreement.

The Estate needs his consent to release the songs.

RedOne has stated that he's willing to put the music out if the proceeds are donated to charity. Will.i.am only seems interested in putting the music out if it's on his album.

You're right mate. Although there is à part of me that at least hopes that he recorded a demo for children's Holiday. Imo that one sounds even better than people of the world.

Yeah I think there is a strong chance (99%)that MJ recorded his own version of WMCIG and submitted it to all the artists. Even though we've heard this song in so many different formats I wouldn't mind hearing a solo recording of I Just Can't Stop Loving You :)

I'm sure he put down a demo of that one. To be honest I never understood the fuss over People of the World, particularly Michael's version. It's a nice song with a wonderful melody, but I'd rather listen to the Japanese version over the mostly mumbled demo. Hopefully Children's Holiday does exist.

And I'm with you on that one! I've been dying to hear that! Assuming it exists it wouldn't have been out of place on Bad25, though I guess it would be cool to save it for an Anthology type box set.

Yeah a solo demo of IJCSLY would be awesome! I was watching The Bad 25 documentary the other day and in the IJCSLY segment Greg says something that he listened to MJ's demo and tried to translate everything down, which for me either means two things,
1, he listened to Michael's working tape of IJCSLY (alá The girl is mine)
2, Michael recorded an early demo of the song at hayvenhurst. The latter seems more probable

I just hope we get more songs from 1999-2009 (basically, songs he recorded when he was older). I mean I love Slave to the Rhythm & Loving You/Love Never Felt So Good but I think the best songs from Xscape are of stuff he recorded when he was getting older. Like Xscape & Blue Gangsta.

I would love to hear the rest of the songs MJ worked on with Rodney Jerkins for the Invincible sessions. Am particularly curious to hear the reworked version of Cheater that's said to exist.

That's just an example, there's many more! tracks from 2002-2009 also..

We all know that he worked with will.I.am, RedOne and Akon. Who else worked with him after his cancelled album in 2004?
I read somewhere that Michael possibly recorded with Swizz Beatz. Do we have more information?

Doesn't matter, only Michael's producers/Sony & The Estate know the volume of unreleased tracks. All i know is that i want everything in the archive... ;)

I heard that Michael did a song with Will Smith during the late 90's/early 00's

Michael Jackson & The Fresh Prince, damn how cool would that have been? ;)

There was a rumour going around that he'd recorded a song with Lauryn Hill called This Is Our Time, or something like that. Don't know how true that is though.

^^ ''Interview with Jerry Greenberg

What was Michael like as a person?

Wonderful. He was an incredible human being. The kindest, nicest, most wonderful guy I’ve ever met. He was really a God gifted entertainer.

I heard that he was brilliant in that regard.

He was a perfectionist. He had perfect pitch, which the only other person I know who had that was Roberta Flack. He would record a vocal track ten times to make sure it was absolutely correct. He had such a good sense about music. I wasn’t with the company for more than two weeks and he called me up in the middle of the night and said, “Jerry did you see Sister Act 2?” I said, “No”. He said, “There’s a girl in the movie that you have to see.” It was the lead singer of the Fugees, Lauryn Hill. He said, “I want to sign her.” I knew who managed the group so I called him and said, “Michael, I found out she is in a group called The Fugees, but I spoke to their manager and if the first record doesn’t happen I think she would love to do a solo record with us.” Obviously, the first record happened and we never got her, but it shows you that Michael can spot talent and what his gut instinct was. She turned out to be a big star. I had a great time working with Michael and when I look back at my career and I think about all the artists that I worked with at Atlantic and then Michael for ten years. That was a treat. I’d wake up and say, “You’re really paying me to do this?

''Lauryn Hill [Denying the existance of a duet called 'This Is Our Time' with Michael and herself]: "I remember when my girlfriend called me up to congratulate me on the duet, and I was like...whaaaaat? I mean, I think if I could choose one person in the industry I'd like to record with it'd be Michael. He is so focused when it comes to what he wants, and who knows...maybe sometime in the future we will work together.”

Akon did point out that the only song that had enough vocals to be released was Hold My Hand; I don't expect anything from him.

Yeah, for a full MJ song. But if he has a verse or just MJ's background vocals or ad libs or harmonies, I would like to hear that in one of his songs.

I heard that Michael did a song with Will Smith during the late 90's/early 00's

Yeah, that is said in Joe Vogel's book in Invincible chapter, but Joe had his mistakes, so who knows. I think it is possible.
