Life of the party by Prince, is off his 2004 Musicology album.

Another Prince song from 1992 called My name is Prince off the Symbol album.

And has anyone mentioned Jermaine's 1991 hit - Word 2 the Bad.

Missy is such an MJ stan.
I swear she should've just dedicated Gossip folk to MJ.
Additionally, I know this is random but I would LOVE to see MJ dance to Lose control by Missy Elliot, I know he would've slayed it.
I kinda hope that he practiced his dancing to the song, and that it's on tape somewhere LOL.

Beyonce is a huge MJ stan.
She says going to an MJ concert is the only reason that she decided to become an entertainer herself, and she's constantly praising Michael.
You know your the greatest of all time when your career inspires other people to start theirs.
But then again who isn't an MJ fan/stan.
Even if your favorite entertainer isn't MJ chances are he's your faves fave. :yes:

You know what, I actually think Jay Z are one of the rappers who reference MJ the most in his music.

Regarding the actual reference he was so on point with that. A lot of these artist needs to get of their high horse. I wonder if that line was a dig at Kanye? lol

Some people say it's a diss at Kanye West who oftentimes compares himself to the king of pop.

Not necessarily lyrics, but Rihanna samples the "Ma Ma Se, Ma Ma Sa, Ma Ma Coo Sa" chant from WBSS in "Don't Stop The Music". And you can actually hear Mike going "he he heee" in the background.


Also, as a complete aside, have just realised I have been listening to Beyonce's Formation lyrics wrong! I have been hearing:

I love my negro knows, Jackson 5 maestro" - obviously this makes no sense but I couldn't quite hear what she was saying!

Yeah, she sampled WBSS in Don't Stop The Music. Michael was given songwriting credit as a result too, likely for royalty reasons I bet.

The guy who wrote Soul Makousa had to go after them in court for another settlement too. I don't think he's listed as a songwriter. Not sure.
