A NEW MJ Hologram Is Arriving!

me personally I'm not apposed to the hologram idea.. I understand it is a matter of taste for many people but personally I think Michael would be intrigued by the technology.. I personally believe IF it was done right, meaning as authentic as possible Michael would have played a part in a hologram concert if he were here.. If my memory serves me right he mentioned something along the lines in those private recordings or something..

I never got to see him live, so I'm all for the idea.
As long as it's done right, I'd be on ticket master waiting to buy tickets for a tour like.

The article said A project to follow very closely! So is the Estate going to be apart of this?

Everytime i look at this picture it give me a chills feeling through my whole body they really have improved from the Billboard Awards in 2014.

Tbh at this point I'm just wondering when they're going to use this hologram.
I also wonder if they'll announce the performance at all, or if they'll just spring it on us.

Why don't you go to see some impersonator then? If there is going to be a hologram the motion capture will be done by impersonator.

Maybe they can get Jason Malachi to record new live vocals

Err... sorry but I'm not native English but ... apart ? a part ... no?!

You got me very confusing within your last posts, pminton.

So do you think they are a part or are apart of this?

If there is going to be a hologram the motion capture will be done by impersonator.

Which would instantly make me lose the tiny amount of interest I have in this project.
I wonder if there's any footage at all of Michael himself that is usable for something like this.. maybe this hologram should do the Ghosts' skeleton routine since they filmed Michael with that motion capture technique for it back in the day, lol.

everyone keeps talking about the eyes... I don't think they look like Michaels eyes much to be honest.. yes the eyes look 'life like' but there is more actual resemblance with Michael on the lower half of the face.. (excluding the fullness of the lower lip) they jaw, chin area, even the nose is good.

Michaels eyes dip down in the bottom lower/outer portion.. this graphic doesn't and that DIP is a big part of what made Michaels eyes Michaels.

The basically the bottom eye lid dips down in the shape of a tear drop in real life.. the graphic is too symmetrical which is not like his.

Oh boy... Here we go again.

Honestly, it doesn't matter how it looks - it's obviously going to dance not like Michael, but like an impersonator they will do motion capture from. If they are going to sell this as an MJ hologram, that's just deception. I feel sorry for young fans who will spend money on this sham.

I think she meant a part of this. She's asking will they be involved.

As far as dancing goes it just HAS to better than the billboard disaster.
Everything about the billboard performance was tragic, and I actually like to pretend it never happened.

They'll definitely release a new album, so IT would promote it while touring, 95% old well-known songs and the rest - new ones. Just like they promoted Xscape with STTR and LNFSG.

They should use film footage for the previously performed song's and the hologram for the unreleased stuff... would be easier to use for ballads though i guess... Not much dancing, could just sit on a chair like the J5 days..

That's not really how it works..
In your mind, your imagining them taking film based footage of him performing, cutting him out frame by frame, and super imposing him on stage, right?
It's not that simple to pull off the illusion (especially if your thinking of them using film reel footage).

And SMH @ people promoting this as anything close to the experience of seeing the real MJ live. So inredcibly disrespectful.

Might as well just release moonwalker 2 on xbox one and ps4 because that looks shit

Imagine that.. his songs finished up by others, performed by an impersonator made into a hologram.. That's reducing his art to a gimmick, it has nothing to do with Michael anymore.
This whole concept would only be interesting if they'd be able to turn footage of the real Michael into a hologram, but I guess that's far from what it'll be

Funny, for me it is the lower half of the face that looks wrong somehow.

Anyway, according to this one picture, it feels like they did a lot of work.

If it’s all done right? Time will tell. But I guess we will always have something wrong there.

And there’s no need to blame anyone for it, that is just a simple fact – it is only a hologram.
