Someone on another thread posted the link to this. I made the terrible mistake of reading it and its disgusting beyond all belief. The writer calls Michael a pedophile and calls Evan Chandler a 'victim of the curse of Michael Jackson.' I'm in the middle of posting a lengthy comment in their comments section and articles such as this we must not stand for. The writer is David Jones. Please help anyway you can. I know its the Daily Mail and its a sorry excuse for a newspaper but we cannot let this go:

Article in Daily Mail

Hi All,

I have been lurking for a few months but was too shy to write anything. But I have to post because I have just read an article on the Daily Mail which was too upsetting for words. The media are attempting to spin Evan Chandler's suicide (guttersnipe) as heartache over MJ's supposed abuse over Jordy Chandler rather than it being the actions of a guilt ridden man who could not live with the heinous evil he bought into an innocent mans life. Please go over to the Mail and leave your comments after that so called article. I don't think Michaels fans can let this article go unchallenged, it is so unjust, they simply won't leave him be.

I'm sorry that my first post is negative, but I couldn't let this one slide.

x

Re: Article in Daily Mail

I read that article and left a comment too. It was one of the worst I have ever read. Pure bullsh*t!

Unbelievable article from the Daily Mail Online

I just read few lines of an article and I swear I'm seeing red.

ETA: I don't want people to click on the link and give the DM the satisfaction of lots of contacts so I uploaded a scan of the article, you can see it below:

http://www.imagebam.com/image/2eef9556922956

The article is nauseating (all about poor EC killed by "MJ's curse") but in particular the caption under the first picture and another of couple sentences caught my attention.
I'm furious and spellbound, how is it possible that they are allowed to speak in those terms? Are we suddenly back in 1993? They are telling just one side of the story!

Shouldn't the people who are behind Michael's estate (PR, I don't know..) monitor the crap like this and sue those who write it?

DAMMIT!

Is this the article? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbi...hat-drove-father-Jordy-Chandler-gun-head.html

I just read about half of it and came on here to see was anyone talking about it.

I have read a load of crap over the years directed at MJ but this just takes the crown. I am a strong, open minded person who has read everything I have ever come seen about Michael, great, good, bad and very ugly, but this I just could not take. I am horrified.

pretty terrible article.

Re: Article in Daily Mail

I take comfort that so much of it is untrue for a fact.

One part that alarmed me was that the author quoted fans, and I recognised one of them as something that was posted over in the EVAN CHANDLER IS DEAD!!! thread. We need to be careful what we say, because this author is just laughing at us and calling us blind (literally somewhere near the start of the article), and I don't think anyone here with half a brain cell should tolerate that.

Re: Article in Daily Mail

internet chat-rooms where Michael Jackson's hero-worshipping fans exchange gossip were deluged by an outpouring of schadenfreude. 'Good riddance, you piece of ****. Hope you rot in hell! Things that go around come around - karma is a bitch,' one hate-filled message read.

'He was a very, very evil man. He should have been punished. This seems the easy way,' another responded.
WOW...I have nothing to say to this...

Among the Jackson faithful, Evan Chandler is the devil incarnate. For in 1993, it was he who first exposed the King of Pop as a common paedophile by revealing how Jackson had sexually abused his son, Jordan, then aged 13.
Again...I have nothing to say...wow.

Re: Article in Daily Mail

Wait...it just gets worse!

I can't believe my parents buy this newspaper...

Re: Article in Daily Mail

its funny.... when the media or a common hater can't convert loyal fans to their hate and ignorance they label fans "hero-worshippers"

WHATEVER!

SORRY BUDDY, WHATEVER YOU ARE SELLING .... I AIN'T BUYING.

Re: Article in Daily Mail

I cannot believe some of the sympathetic headlines this whole Evan Chandler story is getting. When Michael died there were so many articles, even in The Times bashing Michael. We as fans know all the good Michael has done in the world, that recent list of all the charitable things Michael did was just inspiring, and yet he is treated like this. What did Evan Chandler do? Exploit his child for money (through injection of an unsafe substance) and break up his family for greed, and he is the one the media are being gentle with? What is wrong with people?

Re: Article in Daily Mail

Please guys read the rules! This is tabloid and tabloids are forbidden on MJJCommunity UNLESS action (like a letter writing campaign) will be taken. This belongs in Enough is Enough.

Re: Article in Daily Mail

First of all let me start off by saying ...this article makes me sick....second....The author of the article says....Chandler killed himself because of the allegations against Michael.....This is speculation on the part of the author...3rd...The author quotes comments from fans.....IMHO...This guy is a piece of crap..first for writing such a sucky article and second for once again dragging Michael's name through the mud....I am sure that Chandler killed himself for reasons other than the article states......so maybe next time the author writes such an article ..he/she..will fact check first and not just write their opinion..just to sell newspapers.......There...now print that!!!!.......I hate media trolls.

Re: Unbelievable article from the Daily Mail Online

already a thread about this..

Re: Article in Daily Mail

We were talking about this article last night. It was posted in the thread in News and Happenings which talks about recent news regarding the 1993 case. Looks like that thread disappeared. There was also one in here, but I can't see that either. I PM'd senior staff and legacy team members. The legacy team was planning on replying to the article.

I think because it mentions fans we could complain to the PCC and they should take it on board. We aren't a third party if we are mentioned in the article, right?

We're being mentioned so technically we are a third party in this article. Lets get writing!

Re: Daily Mail article 20/11/09-Something must be done

At least the comments are mainly positive! I've commented but I doubt they'll print it.

Wow... I almost regret following the link to this nasty, unbelieveably biased article, however, it has reminded me of why I will never buy the Daily Mail again!

It's amazing that readers aren't permitted to post libel or abusive comments yet the Daily Mail's own writers are free to do as they please.

"Rule 5: No libel or other abuse. You must not make or encourage comments which are: • defamatory, false or misleading; • insulting, threatening or abusive; • obscene or of a sexual nature; • offensive, racist, sexist, homophobic or discriminatory against any religions or other groups."

They never printed my comment. I'm hardly suprised.

Posted a complaint to the government on this and also a post this various links on the issue

I really didn't think that I could hate the Chandler's even more! But now Evan's done that, it's just flung this whole episode straight back into the headlines!
There's some things in that article that are almost laughable! He claims that Evan walked in and saw Michael and Jordy, yeah OK. So, a father walks in and apparently sees that - like he's just going to stand there and ask him about it! Idiot! I'm not even going to comment any further 'cos I'll just end up even more p*ssed off!

So, this person clearly believes Michael was a guilty man. This is what I don't get: If you believe Michael was guilty, then the last thing you would do is praise Evan Chandler. This is the man that chose money over justice, he accepted a cash settlement, he took money in exchange for sex with his thirteen year old son. That pretty much makes Jordan a prostitute. So how the f*ck could this writer paint Evan as a saint? This wasn't someone trying to get justice for his poor molested son. This was someone who sold his child for sex.

I've always wondered if those people who believed Michael was a guilty man were mad at Evan for selling out his son instead of putting the abuser in a jail cell. From this article it seems that they worship Evan for exposing Michael Jackson as a paedophile, even though the guy did nothing about it.

I don't think I will ever understand haters.
