When your friends or people you know suddenly go on about Michael and how much they loved his music and how amazing he was since he passed away???

Dont get me wrong everyone who has something nice to say about Michael has my full attention, but sometimes in the back of my mind i think hang on you didnt care when he was alive!!

I had to listen to there nasty jokes and comments all the time, now he is gone they talk about how amazing he was! It just makes me really upset sometimes that is took him to pass away for people to care!! Am i over reacting and have any of you guys had to go through this??
 
Fake fans.
Can't stand them. I stuck by him when he was fighting the 03 allegations, i loved him since when i was 7, i bought all his albums, i've been amazed and infatuated with him and now i have to listen to you claim that you feel the same even though you made a shoddy joke about him 2 months ago?

why do you complain? would you prefer it if they continued to make the same jokes, and comments that they did in the past?

People here are so happy about all the sales since his passing, but don't you realize that it is these "fake" fans that are actually buying most of his albums at the moment?
 
not people i know, they still dislike him. they were respectful (somewhat) near me when he died, though after a few days they ''thought i was over it'' so they went back to being idiots again.
 
I try to give people the benefit of doubt...I'm glad some people are finally "seeing the light" but I hate it took Michael passing for them to do so, believe me those who are truly "faking" it will come to light sooner or later, you can only fake for so long, but for those who are truly newfound fans of his music and him as a person, I can only accept them...it's the right thing to do no matter how hard it may be.

Im not complaining, like i said i am happy to listen to them talk about how amazing michael is it just upsets me that it took the fact he passed away for them to say good things about him!

I just roll my eyes. I really do.
This may sound harsh, but in the back of my head i can't help but think "Yall were the ones who helped kill him.....never stood up for him and made his life and reputation a living hell" :mad:
 
Its better than them going on about him being a child molester.

Still does annoy me though, but thats how I think about it.

but what annoys me even more is those who don't respect him even after his death..talking sh*t about him! THAT is so disrespectful no matter who u are! at least you should get to R.I.P without any fuss.

I totally agree with this.
At the place I work ppl are still talking about him like they use to do.
Believing all the tabloids and discussing it with each other in the lunch room that hurts so much when you have to hear that.
The first 2 weeks I ate my lunch in my office I didn't want to hear anything they were talking about.
My colleague said to me a few days after the news came "I didn't knew he had 3 kids" :doh: I just thought WTF!!

The fact they are talking nicely about him is as bad as them talking crap about him. They aren't honest and they don't even mean these ' nice ' things they are saying. I bet you they are already talking crap about him right now.

Well I get the idea of this song. it's not to mock Michael but it is to mock all those who now are saying nice things about MJ and how they loved him... crocodile tears. I didn't like some of the words in it but I get the point.
 
I think what is worse is that people are continuing the mocking of Michael (and his fans) even now he has died. I live in England and I am sick to the back teeth of "comedy" programmes making "jokes" about Michael especially so soon after his death. The worst so far was some woman (who obviously thought she was sooooooo funny) laughing and making fun of Michaels funeral, and openly admitting to laughing whilst watching it. I think THAT is far worse than saying nice things myself.

Oh you saw that too? I had to turn it off. That along with You Have Been Watching (which is where the incident I described above happened), Alan Carr and The TNT Show are staying firmly OFF my screens from now on. Is it just a coincidence that these "comedy" programmes are all on channel 4?

That made me feel sick you have been watching! It makes me feel disgusted to be British when i see them taking the piss in such a horrible way!! God i am so angry thinking about what was said all over again!

That's precisely what I thought! I was sooooo ashamed to be British at that point. To be honest British people seem to be viewed around the world as having a dark (or just plain sick) sense of humour, and idiotic "comedians" like this just reinforce those thoughts. The older I get the more I am hating the attitude of so many people in my country. I'd give anything to emigrate.

Just think how us USA fans feel! I mean after the trial he left the country(my family totally understood why)! I'm not even MJ and I was hurt about how they were doing him in 2005(after the trial). I'm still disgusted at the constant digging up of MJ scandal now on tv after his passing. I try not to watch it and get my latest MJ news from this site.
 
i'm a tutor and my students know i'm a fan. two months ago Michael was ok for them but they didnt listen to him. if asked they would say he's ok but some wouldnt react at all. for them he was a star that is from 80s and is getting old and out of fashion. When he died suddenly everybody loved him to the extent that they started listening to his music all the time. Not just a song or two, but album after album. On last Friday they even brought his Motown songs like "never can say goodbye" or "i'll be there". They discuss them and worship the songs. They discuss his videos and say how amazing they are. he's cool and amazing for them. He wasnt a month ago. I dont know what's wrong with people. this is something that annoys me and makes me disgusted. I like it when they love his music but the knowledge that it's all fake annoys me a lot.
 
I'm not sure if I should reply since I'm kinda one of those fans you are talking about here.

I must say that I've never said a bad word about Michael. Even though I wasn't a fan like you guys, but never said a bad word about him, never. I had two of his cd's and listened them occasionally, but never really looked deeper into him. But I felt like when I found out that Michael had passed away, I needed to know more. And as I learned more about him, I was genuinely surprised because I had no idea about a lot of things. Like for example, I had never heard a word about his amazing work with charity. Because those things weren't really discussed anywhere. I have a lot of respect for Michael and everything he has done. I now feel like he was the most beautiful person that's ever lived, inside and out.

I know, it's sad and heartbreaking that he had to die for so many people to notice him. And I'm sad that I'm one of them and werent there when he needed it the most. But I'm here now and NOT doing it "just because it's cool right now" No way. I'm definitely not going anywhere.

I'm not sure if I make sense at all here but I just needed to reply.

Love and respect for Michael Jackson. I hope you don't hate me.
 
Yeah it does. In fact it was my mother just over 2 weeks ago. Was telling me how my brother believes Michael didn't molest those boys. And I told her I don't believe that for even a second. Because this is the same brother who has called Michael a child molesting freak. And he had called Michael that quite a few times in front of my face. This was around the time when the 2nd allegations came out. So I do not believe him of what he is saying about Michael now. Because I know he doesn't mean it. Which to me its find because I am going to get my little revenge on him. When I turn both of his kids in to Michael Jackson fans.
 
Aw, Alisans. Of course I don't hate you. Some "fans" are fake and I can't stand that - it's disgusting but there are new real fans too that have come out of this disaster and we need to be embracing them :)
 
it disgusts me that some people are so cold and evil that they would attack someone who has died but then some people have no moral centre and only want to do harm to others. some of the celebrities speak out about michael are equally cold. they should have their lips sown shut
