I saw this in your link, the deadline seems to be Sept. 15, so maybe its over:
Canadian collector Richard LaPointe is announcing his interest in selling his impressive collection of art objects from Michael Jackson’s estate estimated at USD 20 Million. The collection includes 71 fine decorative art pieces, garden statuary, and Disney collectibles which decorated the premises of the King of Pop’s Neverland Ranch prior to 2009.
The collection gives unique insights into the life of the late singer whose Neverland Ranch glorified childhood through an exquisite mix of royal panache and childish style. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for someone to possess a piece of Michael Jackson’s legacy, says Mr. LaPointe, and a great investment opportunity as each piece in the collection also come along with the right to exhibit it using Michael Jackson’s name.”
The acquisition of the 71 items is the result of a long legal battle between Richard LaPointe and MJJ Production who manages Michael Jackson’s estate when the items were pulled from public auction in 2009, two months before the death of the singer. At that time, Mr. LaPointe was the only bidder on over 80 of the 170 items bided on. With MJJ Productions now holding tightly onto the remaining items of the Neverland estate, they are unlikely to be sold anytime soon, giving Mr. LaPointe’s collection international historical significance.
