Amateur filmed concerts always accentuate the crowd noise that much more. Case in point...If you listen to the crowd during WBSS, APOM or RWY from the amateur recording of the July 12th '88 Wembley show, they are going ballistic! Very vocal crowd...
But If you check out the Pro shot video that goes with it, the crowd is nowhere near as audible! So crowd volume shouldn't be the deciding factor in which of these gets an official release if forced to choose between the two.
The Wembley '88 shows, as great as they were, are not in the same league as the later '88/'89 shows in terms of stage effects, lighting and overall production. Also MJ's dancing evolved a great deal between July '88 and January 1989 where he added a longer breakdown at the end of Billie Jean with new, crisp dance moves amongst other things! Plus, MJ looks "cooler" in the late '88/'89 shows!
As I stated earlier in this thread, The Wembley '88 shows have been hyped by overzealous fans for years...Rather than explain my viewpoints on this over again, my other reasons for backing an L.A '89 release can be found in my earlier post in this thread.

This looks like THE Bad Tour show to me, Go to 3:34

No, No, No Not Rome 88, Ewww, not a very good show if you ask me, Michael was suffering from Bad Laryngitus and was told not to do the show by a doctor, the music compositions were primitive echoing the first U.S Leg shows, plus he was wearing the other trousers.
Listen to the amateur recording from that show, its quite weak
Steve I completely disagree with pretty much everything you have said above on this one!

Clip BAD Tour 1988 usa
****Seems like there are A Lot of 'mixxs' - fusions of LA & Wembely either audio from one and video of other and Vice Versa. I think it would be fair to release some sort of box set. Of course I'd looove to see each tour released!!!
Inserts tour list
Destiny Tour
Triumph Tour
Victory Tour
BAD Tour
I don't however think that it's Fair to release The Victory Tour to USA only and BAD Tour to say for example Europe. Michael Jackson is international,Baby! We all deserve to see his vision**** I want my grand children to be able to see this magic.

Haha! It's all good James, If we all agreed on everything all the time, this place would be a lot less interesting!
I have been made aware that the Wembley show on the 16th featured incredible vocals by Mike, However, I prefer more concentrated dancing, overall performance and production to vocals when it comes to MJ's live stuff (for the most part).
Allow me to explain, at anytime I wish, I can throw on the Bad album and listen to TWYMMF, Smooth Criminal and other tracks with Mike's vocals perfected...When he performed live, the novelty is that Mike is there, busting moves and enjoying an over-the-top stage show! Also, when it comes to the Bad Tour in general, even Mike, on a "bad" night vocally (such as Liverpool '88) was still incredible!
I'm not suggesting that MJ's dancing or performing in any way was poor during any of the seven Wembley '88 gigs, All I'm trying to convey is that I feel the Bad Tour overall, given the six month gap between Wembley '88 and L.A '89 was a far more polished product by the time it hit Japan again in December '88 and onto L.A in January the next year.
For evidence of this, I urge anyone to check out Billie Jean from the amateur recording we have from Wembley, then view Billie Jean from the Christmas Eve concert from Tokyo '88! How much more awesome are MJ's moves as time went on!?
Honestly, either way, an official release of either of these would be a tremendous bonus and something EVERY MJ fan would enjoy to the fullest extent!
But I really love the video Ashtanga posted, another part of me in Wembley![]()
I see no reason to only release one concert from the BAD tour.
Release the first concert of the tour, the Wembley show and the L.A. concert (the last concert) The setlist is different, the stage is diffrent it would be great for those 3 concerts to be released.
I wouldn't really mind which country was released so long as its a 2nd leg of the tour and songs from the Bad album were performed. But to be honest, I would be very surprised if one of these ever get officially released.

That would be so wonderful! :wild::agree: Wish the powers that be could release atleast 3-4 different shows in a 4 disc like boxset with the best footage audio etc. all the things that would make all fans happy - which isn't alot just a few different shows with good quality footage of Michael & fans.![]()
It will be released in 2012!!![]()
