W***** star Michael Jackson slept with his eyes OPEN, a court is to be told.

The dead star's ex-wives and lovers are to be called to testify to confirm the latest astonishing fact about his private life.


Their evidence will be used by defence lawyers representing Dr Conrad Murray as he fights a homicide charge.


Murray aims to prove how difficult it was to tell whether dopey ***** was asleep or awake.


Debbie Rowe, mother of *****'s eldest kids Prince and Paris, Lisa-Marie Presley and nanny Grace Rwaramba, who he called his "wife", will be quizzed at Murray's trial this year.


Jackson, 50, died from "acute Propofol intoxication" on June 25 last year. Murray, 56, is charged with manslaughter over claims he injected the singer with a fatal dose of the anaesthetic.


The cardiologist's defence team have evidence the seasoned drug user often appeared awake when asleep.


They say he would have his eyes open and his pupils would be dilated when he was on Propofol.


Jackson wed Elvis's daughter in 1994 but divorced less than two years later.


He married nurse Debbie in 1996 until 1999 and she bore him two children. And he often lovingly referred to nanny Grace - who the kids called "mummy" - as "my wife". A defence source said: "Conrad Murray's future is at stake here and we will do all we can to prove that he did not deliver a fatal overdose to Jackson.

"We are going to call the significant others in Jackson's life to talk about his long-term drug use and behaviour.


"We've found he would appear dopey and sleep with his eyes open when he had taken meds. We want the women closest to him to verify this. We'll also ask his doctors about how he slept after being knocked out. This could be a key part in the defence."


The source added: "This wasn't a case of a doctor giving a fatal dose to a clean patient. Jackson had a long history of extensive drug use."


Dr Murray's lawyer Ed Chernoff confirmed they will quiz family members about *****'s secret life.


He said: "Dr Murray has no desire to portray Michael Jackson as anything but a saint. OK?


"But Dr Murray's on trial for his life, and the facts have to come out, and they have to come out clearly."


Murray's defence will claim ***** killed himself accidentally by self-injecting a fatal dose of the anaesthetic. They say poor health after years of drug abuse prompted a heart attack.

After all this time they still don't even know he died of cardiac arrest and not a heart attack, these people really annoy me !!
 
just a side note - some people really can sleep with their eyes open (regardless of usage of propofol or any other drugs), it is a disorder / weakness of eyelids.

Absolutely there are people who have no choice in that matter, usually when something neurological is going on that effects your muscles, Bell's Palsy or a whole bunch of things. Say Lyme Disease with paralysis in the face, seen that. They didn't however mention the eyeballs- because that looks VERY different from somebody with eyes open. Even in a person sleeping with eyes open, the eyeballs would roll up- so all you see is white eyeball, it's a fairly gruesome picture, having seen it on somebody who HAD to sleep that way. That person certainly didn't look as if they were awake with pupils showing.
These people suffer tremendously because of the overall health of an organ that should stay moist, instead of exposed. It's not a laughing matter at all.

There are certainly catatonic states etc, but I wouldn't call that sleeping.
 
I still don't understand what this has to do with the price of tea in China? I mean it does not matter how MJ slept when he was on drugs. First they need to prove how he was specifically when he used propofol since different drugs make you react in different ways. So does any of the people mentioned before know of that situation in particular?

Also, if Murray knew this before hand as he is asserting, it doesnot matter if that was the case, Murray was aware of this and as his doctor should have cared for his patient accordingly. Also, no matter what any of them say about MJ, we have scientific evidence from his autopsy as opposed to subjective opinions to show MJ's condition at the time of his death. They will have a hard time disproving what was explicitly announced in the autopsy.

Lastly if the defense is going to say MJ died from prro health brought about by years of drug abuse, if he was that bad, it would have to be noticeable to Murray. And again, he is showing how hegligent he was in using such a drug with the type of person he was saying MJ was. And he disreguarded his life by giving in to him instead of trying to help him and he is still culpable.

I too can't understand -if true- how this will help defense at all.

If you read TMZ's story about the open eyes - the defense would claim he woke up, self injected and OD'd and therefore his eyes were open.

If he actually sleeps with eyes open then it shots down that defense strategy.
 
I don't understand how it is relevant to what happened on June 25? Michael slept with Lisa 15 years ago, what difference does it make if his eyes were open or closed then? Crazy.

The sooner the court case is over and the people involved see what we have known for the past 9 and a half months and fit him with the correct charges the better off we'll all be.
 
You would think the MJ sleeping with his eyes open story would be used by the prosecution aswell as the defence. Wouldn't that explain how his eyes were open after murrey injected him ?
 
It seems they want to find something that would support their theory that Michael was still alive when Murray found him because if Michael's eyes were opened, it looked like he was already dead. I don't know how it will help Murray anyway. If Michael was alive why did he do CPR on the bed then? interrupted it to hide drugs? delayed 911 call? He should have been monitoring his patient properly in the first place (especially patient with "poor health'' :doh:).

I didn't know that some people actually sleep with their eyes open. Won't their eyes get really dry? I wonder if they still blink in their sleep?

Anyway, like many of you, I don't see what this has to do with anything. He gave Michael Propofol at home and didn't monitor him. Whether he slept with his eyes open or closed is irrelevant.

I think this story is a bunch of crap...why would they keep leaking their defense.....not only that..the media has been saying crap like this about Michael for years. I think it is just tabloid crap. The defense wouldn't get anything out of using something like this as a defense. In the end Murray didn't take care of Michael the way he should of.....he killed him with benz's and propofol. Murray should just give up now and just go to jail...save our tax dollars for something that matters.

2) Doubt Deb & LMP would be defending Conrat Murder - have you seen what MJs death did to them.
3) SLEEPING with eyes open - what kind of defense is that? I thought their defence was that his eyes were open because he'd WOKEN up to inject himself? .. isn't this new 'defence' contradicting that?.. Now we can just say.. nahh he didn't wake up to inject himself, his eyes were open because thats how he slept.

Contradictory. And please read the autopsy - no sign of poor health due to drug abuse leading to a heart attack. FK sake.
