I dont want to judge someone I've never talked to, but every single move KJ has made so far has been terribly wrong. Anyway, back to Mann, I'm glad the Estate is reacting, and in a strong way. It's not only about Mann, it's also about sending a message out there. There're a lot of other people using Michael's image for their own profit.

guys to be clear - this is not solely about the lean or it's not a new lawsuit.

MJ Estate has sued Mann with 10 claims ranging from copyrights, trademarks, cyber squatting etc.

One of their claims was about the use of "Smooth criminal Lean" on their company logo.

In the below picture you can see an actual MJ picture on the left and the Vintage Pop company logo on the right.

MJ estate is claiming that VPM is using a Michael Jackson picture / pose without permission and the likeliness is causing confusion at people.

Mann says that Michael didn't prevent the move and therefore Estate cannot make claims on the move.

What he fails to realize is the "likeliness". again look to the picture above and to the logo on the right side. When you look to it do you say "It's MJ doing the lean" or not?

I'm just counting the hours until Mr. Mann turns on Katherine Jackson because she is either unwilling or unable to fulfill one of his "demands." Real talk!

In the meantime, I have to LAUGH OUT LOUD, when the article calls Mann a "one-time pornographer," while calling Howard Weitzman "a HIGHLY respected lawyer."

Actually, I think it's likely that Michael DID "invent" the lean. He holds a copyright to the special shoes that he designed, that were used for that move. The shoes have a slot that fits into a prong on the stage, and that makes the lean possible. So yeah, I do think it can be proven that Michael invented it. Another "oops," for Mann?

But I have to say that the ICING on the cake, for me, was when The Estate of Michael Jackson pointed out that Mann's attorney was using Wikipedia as a reference source. :lol:

On April 19, 2009 The judge denied the motion to dismiss so the case moves forward.

There are still some claims they have to deal with. But here the Estate sues to protect the rights, trademarks and legacy of Michael.

- The Estate claims the following copyright infrigments: This Is It poster; Thriller25 liner notes; the Destiny song; MJ drawings; the Vintage Pop Media logo that contains the MJ lean; domain names; master recordings.

- The Estate wants the followings: stop Mann from using MJ's likeness, image, videos, etc.; all the domains; stop doing anything with the master tapes.
