Re: Neverland is not going to be auctioned on March 19, 2008 [keep all discussions here, please]

Its funny because it was only yesterday that I read a very extensive article in the Guardian (Uk newspaper) about the thousands of homewoners in America (and now this is affecting those middle class families who were thought to be immune from this mortgage/subprime lending mis hap) are facing foreclosures on their houses. The houses they bought for a certain price and now has lost much of its value so selling them don't even allow them to cover their debts. They are finding it increasingly difficult to pay their mortgages each month and renting property isn't giving them an enough income.

I realise this isn't something so exclusive to Michael Jackson...he has a property so large..im surprised its stood there for this long...Im pretty sure Michael will be able to refinance and get the payments sorted. I bet for all we know Michael is probably making maximum use of this credit crunch where property prices have actually gone down alot...he maybe looking to invest in other property elsewhere too.

Our man will take it in his stride....just think if you weren't Michael Jackson who has the capacity to guarantee a stream of income..and instead you were ordinary joe blogg holding down a day job...(like the thousands of homeowners) how much worsae might the situation be. Maybe we should lament for those peoople too!!

I feel so sad what they did to him. Its awesome that Jackson lived his dream and created Neverland, a place where he could do these things he never could do in his childhood. People are so jealousy if a person succeed in life, thats mother nature. Whats the meaning of life..? Living like u are "supposed" to do.. or do it like Michael Jackson, living your dream. Keep your heart, don't let Neverland fall apart.

I have always felt that Mj will return to that place, when he is ready to do that. He will go back and he will return it to its glory days. I have always believe that. And yes, For me, MJ IS the real life Peter Pan, And He will return to Neverland, and the Headline will jump out at us,'Return to Neverland'. Yes. That is my dream and I am sticking to it.:p

Re: Neverland is not going to be auctioned on March 19, 2008 [keep all discussions here, please]

neverland is the single most beautiful place in the world and its 100% associated with michael. he should never let it go. he should keep it for him and his kids and future grandkids to visit and spend time there. he might someday in the future decide to move back to neverland for good. i'd love for him to erase all the bad memories that are associated with this place and only remember the good ones which are much much more and the good overweights the bad especially in this case. change the employees with ppl that u trust 100% and that they were recommended to u, dont allow anyone whos not a family member or a close friend that u've known for years in the main house, kids to be escorted by their parents or other adults and be with them at all times, guards to be everywhere, cameras everywhere etc
i think michael would be fine...... there would be no basis for another false allegation ;)

p.s. oh and stay away for bashits type of journalists :mello:

I just saw a full 2 minute news bulletin on Neverland on Australia's Channel 9... I didn't like it one bit, but theres obviously a problem which I pray he fixes.

What confuses me a little is that Michael has SO many assets it's nearly impossible for him to be so "broke" that news such as this even becomes tabloid gossip.

I pray Michael retains Neverland and I even hope he moves back in at some stage... I never get emotional in a sense but the idea of him losing such a status symbol makes me upset.

 I believe too that he'll return when he's ready... And I also believe the magic Michael created above Neverland has never disappeared. It is still there, waiting to be brought alive again :)

MJ is not broke. If he were broke he would sell Neverland. Or he would be on the road working for a living. He is doing none of those things. the media wants you to think that he is broke. They don't want you to know that he OWNS 50% of Sony/Atv. He gets paid for that you know?
Just because he is refinancing doesn't mean he is broke. it simpy means that he is in need of cash.
Rich folks do this all the time. They use their assets to secure loans. That is how they live. Only in Michael jackson's land, the media wants you to think that because he needs cash he is broke. By the way, MJ gets over 8 million dollars a year just being an executive for Sony/atv.
This does not include the profit he makes from the company which goes directly to his trust fund.

Re: Neverland is not going to be auctioned on March 19, 2008 [keep all discussions here, please]

You can take Neverland away from Michael but you'll never take Michael away from Neverland. He'll always live in Neverland, figuratively speaking. The place in California is just a physical location.

Re: Neverland is not going to be auctioned on March 19, 2008 [keep all discussions here, please]

Its strange how he hasnt lived there since 2005. I am thinking some people out there would love it if Neverland ws sold it would be the last nail in the coffin so to speak.

Re: Neverland is not going to be auctioned on March 19, 2008 [keep all discussions here, please]

whatever, there is no coffin to put the nail in because they didnt WIN MJ's freedom. That's the most important thing. If MJ decides to sell neverland...he could buy another place and make IT neverland.

And anyways u never know what the future will bring.

thats true MJ won his freedom never thought about it that way.

Re: Neverland is not going to be auctioned on March 19, 2008 [keep all discussions here, please]

so u don't want nvr to be sold b/c u have never been there? hmmmmm

and roxy...u do know that's what he did, right? chaperone's, cameras, waivers stating he did nothing wrong and they still accused him, he still had to fight in court, and still wasted time and money on a trial that made no sense.

the animals are gone. the land has dried up and is a damn fire hazard. if he's coming back, then fine. if he ain't, then fine. leave it for his kids or make it a graceland-esque sort of place.

whatever happens to it, it won't be a vineyard i know that for damn sure. he made sure he developed on the most soil rich areas on the ranch...that's y everything's so damn spread out

and that video...them bad ass kids...from mez's church....lawd

neverland the house is just a damn house and property. he can create a new safe haven for himself and his children.

remember, IF he ever goes back to that ranch HE STILL AIN'T SAFE. they have the blueprints to ever room on the property. allegations can still be made just w/ the layouts...

he'd have to tear down structures and rebuilt or do a drastic renovation if he wants to return and have a clear mind knowing that the sbda and sbsd don't know what's where...unfortunately, he may have to make things like a renovation public since his property is so massive.

wanting him to keep the ranch for a purely selfish reason like 'OMG I HOPE HE DOESN'T LOSE IT B/C I HAVEN'T BEEN THERE YET' are asinine in itself. i'd rather he be happy where he is...

like bg said, nevvy is more a state of mind than an actual location.

Re: Neverland is not going to be auctioned on March 19, 2008 [keep all discussions here, please]

if he dosent want it anymore then that up to him and not us.

Re: Neverland is not going to be auctioned on March 19, 2008 [keep all discussions here, please]

yeah but why pay all them damn back taxes just to let it go back into default on another issue? might as well just set fire to ur money....it's a lot less of a hassle.

and if he didn't want it, he woulda dumped it a long ass time ago. it served a purpose during the trial and then he left and hasn't been back since. so he's keeping it for something....

2700 acres...about 40 acres for every one of his damn relatives and then some...the mules should come from the gov't but u know how slow they are

You are too righjt there Kate. MJ is not going to give up that land. They will have to prize it out of his hand. The jacksons had land stolen from them before. History will not be repeating itself here.:)
