Murray Trial - 3 October - Day 5 - Discussion

She's great! She was very firm with her answers.

A TOTAL WIN for the prosecution here.

Love Dr. Nguyen

Next witness, Joanne Preshard (spelling?)

oh God !! Flanagan is drunk ? he seems like he's about to fall each time he leans forward !!

disagrees propofol is used outside the hospital...carry on Flanagan, all the Jury are going to get out of this is that propofol is only used in the hospital setting.

Now he's suggesting Dentist use propofol, not sure what Dentist he goes to.

lol. was the jury laughing about the defence?
when he asked about using propofol outside a hospital.

he goes on about the amount cooper would give ie 60 mgs. she says cooper would give what shes comfortable with. says u can give diprivan with benzos but u would have to change the dose.

he says diprivan is given outside of hospital setting. she says no it isnt. only in a hospital in a restricted room. never heard of it being used outside of a hospital. flanangans saying dentists use diprivan. she isnt aware of it. and doesnt ask dentists if they use it. asked if G.I use it she says she doesnt know. shes never used it outside of a hospital and never used it outside of a proper room in a hos

walgren does it on re direct. asks the dr if you have ever heard of diprivan being used in someones bedroom. she saiys never its unheard of!!

witness if off great witness .shot flannagan down again

Your stream is ahead:)
walgreen: "doctor, have you ever heard of propofol being used in someone's bedroom?"
Win.

Now he's suggesting Dentist use propofol, not sure what Dentist he goes to.

because MJ went to a dentist and got propofol during a treatment according to Dr Adams... soo the defense wanna bring that up

the prosecutors should have asked those questions themselves , they probably don't even realise the significance of Flanagn's questions and the doctor's answers .

the dentist question? im sure they are very aware. david adams is on their witness list

4) Propofol (dentistry sedation)

"Some anaesthetists use Propofol instead of benzodiazepines. The advantage of this is the very rapid recovery time, less than 5 minutes. The drug must be continuously administered, so the drug is pumped in using an electric infusion pump, the dose rate is set by the anaesthetist. Propofol is not a common sedative agent because it’s very easy to tip over into GA (General Anaesthesia) with it, where reflexes such as breathing are lost. It can be useful you have developed a high tolerance to benzodiazepines because you’ve been hitting them hard for years. Propofol is classed as a GA drug and in the U.K. can only be administered in a hospital setting (although a few private dental clinics meet the standard of a hospital setting, and offer it as well)."

oh God !! Flanagan is drunk ? he seems like he's about to fall each time he leans forward !!
He is clueless. Please sit down Flanagan. He probably has to hit the bottle everytime court is in recess. Look at his face, it red as a beet! Jeebus!!!

when the stream went down, the defense was asking about the mg of use of propofol and was referring to dr cooper, who stated 1 mg per kg?? but the stream went down, any body know what she said?

what is normal dosis is?

Have you ever heard of propofol being used in someone's home in the bedroom? Never. That's the point. I thought the doctor did great and you can tell very professional.

maybe Murray gave Flanagan something to sedate him, he does not appear to be very coherent imo.

edit...............

It depends. Factors like general health, patient history and also whether of not the propofol is administered along with Versed (a benzodiazepine).

1-2mg/kg is the regular dose (source: my mother, an anesthesiologist).

Depends if it was used alone or not. If I am not mistaken 1 mg per kg is if it was used alone, but if it was used with something else you can start with lower dose (0.5 mg).

rung murray it went to an answer machine. she needed to contact murray as the paitent was due to have surgery that day. says its very important to write down medical info previous meds and treatment the paitent is taking. makes a second attempt to call murray at another number and gets through. explains why shes calling. murrays responce was the paitent should keep taking the medication as it needed to be taken for 6 months. better to postpone the surgery instead. murray knew the dosage the paitent was taking and how long it had been taken. did she find it strange that murray knew all these details out of the blue off the top of her head. she says yes it was strange he knew the details straight away. normally a dr has to check their records or have to be reminded of the paitents details.
