Michael, obviously. The same as every other album/DVD/single with his name on it.

Yes, the new instrumental is well done BUT the Reggae style of the first version has been lost...

now it's something average...A RN'B track like so many others.

Like I said : nothing on this New Album has been approved by MJ...and that's the problem.

yeah there is in the UK . i asked in another thread. i think its 3.99 on hmv site according to another poster


I bought the song 4 times via iTunes. Wondering if it ever come out in the CD form!

:) I love reggae and r&b both, and I am glad I still can hear a lot of reggae in HMH!

Nothing on the album approved by MJ? Not nothing and not everything.
This is a posthumous album and MJ didn't have the opportunity to give his blessings over all of it's music, that's a fact, sadly enough.

On the other hand, I don't want the world to think that MJ was finished after the Invincible album... because artistically he wasn't.
And I don't want the world to have to go back far in the past to situate MJ... 2001.. oh yeah, there you have still de KOP! And after Invincible area... nothing, already dead. Some people maybe wanted him dead already... Well they didn't succeed.
HE WAS STILL THERE and THAT all generations to come can hear now in the album!
Don't make Michael's name as a creator dissappear after Invincible by promoting and doing a massive boycot of his music...
Instead, insist, really insist to the right people that as good work as possible should/will be done... Let hear your voice but in a CONSTRUCTIVE way, it will be so much better.

Last word I have to say for now. Don't want to kill threads.

"it's not like this album is released 50 years after Michael's passing and there's nothing unheard left in the vaults... There are dozens of finished/nearly finished songs that are much, much, much better than what is on the album. That's what I don't understand. I just don't get it "

They are not MJ fans, they are money making industry. They don't want to release all great tracks on one album and than later only average tracks. We are getting on this album some great tracks like Another Day, Hollywood Tonight, Behind The Mask.. Until 2017 we will get 3 new albums = 30 new tracks and that is not bad! I expect 10 masterpieces, 10 great/good tracks and 10 fillers..

quality does matter ! I don't care about sales...I don't care about the average buyer who will buy this album only because he has no Idea of what to buy for Christmas...
 
What would you do? Release all great stuff on one album? And then after few years release more greatest hits collections with some outtakes?

only releasing reeditions of previous MJ albums each in a Box Set. On the second CD for each album, we would put the demos and unfinsihed works...we would not lie about our product.

we would call it "dangerous sessions" or "invincible sessions" for example...

What they are doing with MJ would have never been possible with The Beatles, with Pink Floyd, with Nirvana, with Miles Davis, with Led Zepelin...and it will never happen with Prince.
 
Well Michael still owns 50% of Sony Music, boycott the album or any singles from it and it's an actual boycott against him surely?

Ok I respect your opinion. Michael was bigger than any artist in history and every artist that you mentioned above. And Michael was the only one who wrote and record more tracks that he didn't release than the ones that he did release. Elvis died without one track unreleased behind him! So this tracks has big potential to become hits. I agree with you about some rough demos but some 75%-90%-100% finished tracks that can be finished by someone else should be released on the new albums. I think that Cascio tracks should have been released as "Cascio sessions" as limited edition just for fans box-set, and other rough demos on double cds like you have said. But boycotting this album will make even more damage to MJ legacy.

^Great news about the UK radio airplay charts. #12 is a fantastic debut. This is why Sony is waiting til the 28th to release HMH to i-tunes.

Hold My Hand is #26 on Canadian i-tunes charts up 3 positions :)

It is not moving up consistently in US. Though it did move up to 46 this morning from 51. I just don't hear it much here.

No chance bobmoo. It's on the BBC Radio2 'A' playlist!! (The most listened to national radio station in the UK)

It's also on the BBC Radio1 and BBC Radio1 Xtra playlists. Many more million to add this week buddy!
 
I wish I would hear it on the radio where I live. That's great in the UK radio charts.
