I bought mine at Best Buy a few minutes from my job this morning. I listened to it on the way back just now and...in three words...AM-A-ZING!
-"Hold My Hand (Duet w/Akon)"
I loved it the minute I heard it last month.
-"Hollywood Tonight"
I love the tempo on this one. A rough cut Michael did, but as always, like to get the story told.
-"Keep Your Head Up"
One of the Cascio tracks many of you are questioning. It sounds like Michael did a few more takes on this one out of the three on the album. Heavy editing of course. However, great message, especially for today.
-"(I Like) The Way You Love Me"
I loved it when I first heard it on "The Ultimate Collection." Totally different take on the album. Nice touch on the intro on how Michael wanted it to sound. The instruments are wonderful.
-"Monster (feat. 50 Cent)"
Yes, I can hear this on the radio and clubs. Another heavy-edited song obviously. I don't really care about 50 at all. Nice groove.
-"Best Of Joy"
Already, one of my favorite songs, ever! It has that Janet feel to it. The bridge has that Bee-Gees vibe. Michael's falsetto is just out-of-this world!
-"Breaking News"
When I first heard it, I did too question the authenticity of the vocals. Another heavy-edited song. Sounds like Michael did only a few (count three fingers) takes and probably didn't think it was good enough. However, the song's nice.
-"(I Can't Make It) Another Day (feat. Lenny Kravitz)"
Love it! Michael sings softly and then...BAM! I can vision Michael and Lenny rocking this in concert.
-"Behind The Mask"
Wow! The intro was sexy. The beat is just non-stop dancing! I still didn't understand why this didn't make the cut for "Thriller." Anyway, we got it now. Another favorite.
-"Much Too Soon"
A genuine folk song. Perfect way to end the album. Hearing that voice sends me chills.
All in all, I enjoy it. I want to thank all of those who worked pretty hard on this project. Posthumous projects are very hard to come by. Especially this one. However, I am looking forward for more to come.
Thank you once again, Michael Jackson!
