The Resurrection of Michael Jackson - Music Monthly

^ I think you are right. Cuz I just googled observer monthly music magazine and I haven't found anything about this. Plus that pic does look photoshop like anyone could have done it. So I will believe it when I see it.

Yeah same here I checked The Observer's website and didn't see anything about it. Guess we will have to wait until Sunday to find out.

For real.....none of us know what tone this article will take, so......lets just wait until we read it for ourselves and then react negatively or positively either way.....

I for one hope to learn new stuff, but we'll just have to wait and see....

also, notice who broke the "news" here.. no source no link no nothing. just (what appears to me to be) a self written blurb and photoshopped magazine cover.

i will apologize if i am wrong.

in 5 days we will know.

^^ I hope you're wrong, though. Any positive MJ press is good.

mmmmmmmm i hope that's not true, otherwise that would have been really bogus of the poster. We'll see soon.

so does anyone know when this cover is out and i think its so great if we learn more infore about his new album or what ever it is is planing. Anyways i guess we will see what its about soon enough.

The following was taken from an email, sent to admin of another forum I am registered at.

The email was sent by Caspar Llewellyn Smith who is the Editor of The Observer:

"The piece appears as our cover story this coming Sunday - 16 March. It follows Michael's plans for his comeback, for which our writer, Elizabeth Day, has spoken both on and off the record to a number of people involved in the plans. All exciting stuff.

My colleague Lain, or perhaps Lynsey, should be able to send you a jpeg of the cover image tomorrow (Tues)."

^The .jpeg is the cover I posted on the first page.
^^The blurb next to the advert in The Guardian says -

'Is the King of Pop plotting the comeback to end them all ?'

The cover story on Michael Jackson's comeback is scheduled to be released Sunday, the 16th March, 2008.

The article should be online for everyone to read by Sunday, and for those that live outside the UK, you can go here:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/theobserver/musicmonthly

So they aren't gonna use that resurrection-like photo we see in this thread? I hope not.

Coming from the email sent by the cheif editor, it looks like the jpeg cover I originally posted is to be the cover used this Sunday.

I just emailed the Editor myself and another person working for the Observer literally 2 mins ago, so hopefully I will hear back from either soon.

there are those that have falsely accused him of thinking he is God. and they go and make up that cover? i know he could not have been aware of their plans for doctoring that. i think they are trying to set him up, sublty. they need to come up with a more humble looking idea for a photograph, instead of setting him up like that. i know that if he was aware that they were planning that, he'd have a problem with it. at least, take away the glowing background.

and..resurrection? cmon...that's rediculous. his career has never been dead. he never left.

ok micky007 i just thought it odd that a forum broke the news not a website. but if it was in an email then thats cool. thats how vogue was confirmed, by raymone via email :)

also, to people saying MJs career never went and doesnt need resurecting.. well, sorry, but it did. His sales never went, his fans never left, but he has not been a "current" artist since 2001/02. he has still been around, but he hasnt been active in a musical/performing career since then. Resurection title is fine by me:) makes the news all the more dramatic.

You guys are tripping too much over the cover, lol. Michael looks fine and who cares if there's a glowing background. He's the biggest star in the world... it kinda fits. You don't have to think "God" everytime there's a glowing white light, dang, lol. It sounds like it might be positive. Here's to hoping it is.

well..lol...not that MJ needs any more drama...but he says himself he's never stopped. and that he's always writing..and writing is a musical act..so..he's always been doing something. there are many facets to his career. his investing..his acquiring...and an apperance on the WMA's two years ago....

i know people define 'career' in different ways...

so..i'll just define it by what HE said. that he 'never stopped'.

so...i don't think he needs resurrecting.

well..lol..anything to prevent more of us fans from being up in arms chasing after people in the media would be a welcome breath of fresh air for me.

who needs more media bait? especially since MJ had nothing to do with it?

to me, he glows just fine without the background

The observer is from the guardian which is a very respected paper here in britian, so there's not going to be any trash talk there!

:) I very much look forward to reading plans for the new album.

However, if it's gonna present things we already know about (i.e. collaborations), I'll be genuinely cut.

I am confused. Are we talking about THE OBSERVER or THE GUARDIAN. 2 different newspapers.^_^

This sounds interesting although I am not going to expect any major 'news' regarding new album but still if its positive then it will be good.

Even though I really dislike the cover I can't wait to read the article.

its this sunday right?? so like 4 days? :)

Agh! I'm going to Tunisia in 2 days! I'm gonna miss it! Hopefully someone will be able to scan it?? :)

The Guardian are respected but I've yet to see them be respecful of MJ, LOL, their last long-ass article on MJ was promotion/advertisement for that piece of crap channel four documentary: Michael Jackson: What really happened, late last year...Yeah, the one with Diane Demon, Randy-tabloid-trash-ellie and Bob-I-Need-To-Go-To-The-Gym-Jones. That came in one of the freebie magazines in the weekend paper too.

MJ said it best "Then there are those that disguise themselves as legitimate, those are even more disgusting"

Even in their latest article on Janet, they made a couple of digs at MJ.

Oh well, we'll just have to wait and see what suprises they have in store for us

I wouldn't put my hopes up, but who know's -_-

Doubt it will be anything life changing, LOL, probably a "new and exclusive" compilation of w.i.ll.i.am and akorn quotes from 2007:lol:
