The worst thing I have ever seen!

So you're saying a tacky candle is the equivalent of torture and genocide or female genital mutilation.

you know i'm not saying that. and yes, i am saying that. both at the same time. because it's hate. but your argument permits people to be 'subtle'. hate still kills. there's a saying that goes, the little foxes are as destructive as the wolf. in the end, the ending is the same. tell a person who is dead, that the method used to get them there is less taxing than another method that got them there. the destruction of the soul, via hate, is still the destruction of the soul, via hate, no matter what method is used. the only way something can be less taxing is if it's love, instead of hate. and, quite frankly, there's nothing subtle about that candle. only skewed logic minimizes hate.

I already answered to you what I meant. See above pls. Why do you repeat yourself again?
Is not clear still? I can explain once again for you.

This person understands everything. No worries about that. She is just being bitter. That’s all. I do not know why she thinks that I deserved it? Just leave it and move on.. .

This is SO sad. Oh, please don't DO this, people? We have been discussing a candle that probably has a reference to a terrible accident that Michael had. "The worst thing I've ever seen" is a common EXPRESSION, sub-text being with reference to Michael. I didn't take the expression literally, and I don't know why anyone else would either? There are LOTS of things that are worse, of course, but I think the intention of the thread was pretty clear? I find it very sad that it could be turned somehow, so that the thread became an argument? I do think we should try harder to get along?

In terms of the topic, did this turn out to be a genuine site, then? Surely there are few people on the planet that don't know Michael's hair once caught fire, so the design of the candle was very hurtful. IMHO.

The store does look to be legit, and because there is no other reference to it being a joke or anything, it's going to come down to personal opinion whether you think its a gag or an oversight. Personally, if it was a gag, I'd think they'd just say it outright and sell it as a novelty item. But of course there's no way to prove it one way or the other.

IMO, It doesnt even look like Michael...

How ever it was intended, they need to get a life...seriously!!!

And Y'all who are arguing...This is really not a subject that we should be concentrateing on...It sadness me to see that people on here are disagreeing on this subject.

No offence
Asedora But I think this thread will be closed!

If that's meant to be a joke then it's really bad one but not all know that Michael has had this accident, so it could be just a coincidence.

I'm not sure if the person that created them was trying to be offensive or not. But this is in extremely poor taste. I can picture what the candle will look like as it progresses. Very disgusting in my view.

I really dont think they meant it in bad taste... with all due respect, and I KNOW that it bares resemblance to a very horrible incident... but maybe we are being too sensitive?

from the website -

This candle has been completely handcrafted by expert artisans. Each piece is unique.

With heightened sensitivity brought on by the King of Pop´s passing, they have crafted each piece with love and devotion.

Today, they want to share their feelings and their art with the world with these beautiful collectible candles.

Each piece is signed and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity and registration number.

I think Dani is right. I dont think they mean it as a joke or anything. Maybe we are being over defensive, wich I understand cause we are use to put up with lots of BS, but I think this time is not the case IMO.
Not everybody knows or remember the Pepsi comercial, or meybe they juts doing it for money.

After thinking about it, I think the makers did have good intentions. We're the ones who are seeing it in a bad light (omfg obvious pun is obvious).

Besides, not everyone gets candles to light. They can actually just be used as decoration and not as a light source. I have candles in my room which have never been lit. Mainly because they are hand crafted and very pretty, so it would be a shame to destroy them.

Would I get this candle? Probebly. It's not really bad taste. We're just seeing it like that.

I don't think they had bad intentions I just think they didn't realise how us fans would feel and just didn't think it through properly. They most likely just thought that this was an easy way to make money since his death and they're probably cheap to make.
It'd be much better if it was ceramic and you just put a small candle inside it.

If a candle is the worst thing you've seen, then you haven't heard of lynching, slavery, Hitler, Salem Witch Trials, Chairman Mao, 9/11, KKK, AIDS, Al Capone, the plague...

Stalin and Mao were much worse than Hitler who was merely trying to defend Germany from being turned into a communist state a al Russia. LLenin, Stalin, and Trotsky may have been responsible for over 70 million deaths in the former Soviet Union (see Solzhenitsyn's Gulag Archipelago). Mao's Great Leap Forward and Cultural Revolution killed around 70 million people in China.

As for the candlemakers, it all depends on their intent. If the Michael candle had a fedora it might be okay.

OMG.
You think this is bad?
This is nothing.
Trying seeing the things Ive seen and you will realise that this is nothing at all to worry about.
You havent seen the sick videos of people making dummies into MJ and then acting out a fake autopsy.
You wait untill you have seen things like that and then you will think twice about saying that this is the worse thing you have ever seen.

*sigh* Why are you guys taking the title of the thread so literally? The OP was disgusted by this item, and surely you can see why even if you aren't yourselves. I wish we could be more tolerant towards each other and more understanding.

Well as a collectors item it seems to be nice but regarding the fire accident happend to Michael it's inappropriate

Gosh, what hyperbole in the title of this thread. I little novelty candle and people are getting their knickers in a twist.

A few days ago, I was unwittingly directed towards a video of the Dnepropetrovsk maniacs smashing a man's face in with a hammer, before gouging his eyes out with a screwdriver while he was still alive. That is true horror, in my opinion.

There is NO evidence to support the claims of bad faith by the candle makers. For someone to wish that they "burn in hell" is grossly inappropriate and reflects badly on the fans. For the record, I will be buying one of these candles and adding them to my MJ memorabilia collection.

THANK YOU!

Seriously, when I first saw this thread, I didn't read it. I just clicked the link. When I saw that candle I was like 'Okay, asides the fact they could have done better, I see nothing wrong with it.'...Then I read the comments and was like 'Oh..Really?'.

It's just a harmless candle people. Don't get your knickers in a twist. I'm pretty sure the makers had no intention of offending anyone.

girls and boys pleeeese, for heavens sake... when it comes to the bad shit surronding michael... get your priorities straight eh? Look at the website... it says that each candle is handcrafted with love by an artist. As its a collectors item, I HIGHLY doubt it is meant to be lit. what nexy, OMFGGG!!!!! THEY MADE MICHAEL CHOCOLATE, WHY WOULD I WANT TO EAT MICHAEL, THIS IS WORSE THAN THE AIIIIDDDDSSS!!!!

ahem, i apologise if i have offended anyone, but i felt my response to to be suibted to this absurd subject... and I have tried several times in this thread to speak rationally - to no avail.

This is just going round and round in circles. I think we've exhausted this.
